I love how you can see their true emotion poured when singing. When more and more teams barely (or don't even) sing the National Anthem. These are proud Dutch girls and its a welcome sight in a Europe with less and less identity.
Or even, in my country, kneel down and expect to be praised for it. To hell with that...I've come too far to get here. I stand at attention and sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" the way it's meant to be sung, and I'm very glad that these Dutch players are showing patriotism for their country. I still have family over there, but I haven't seen them for quite a while because of COVID restrictions and all of that.
It's interesting, my countrie's anthem was autocensured by our governement due to the injurious lyrics against Spain, I think it was a wrong decision. There is some paralelism with Netherlands in some way and I'm happy to know we both defeated the Spanish Crown ;).Greetings from Argentina

I was actually shocked to find that the Wilhelmus was a poem William wrote and later generations put to music.
