Nonsense comment from Mark about Catherine not being nice. The example used that even H was popular when ' the Palace' managed his PR. Well that's wrong, the press did publish drug stories, stories of violence from H, BUT, the public had a GREAT deal of sympathy to him in his youth, due to the loss of his mother and gave him benefit of the doubt and cut him some slack.
Where are the stories about Catherine that have been damage limited?

I was going to say the only time I see Catherine with cold eyes and ice in her expressions is when that vile woman is in her vicinity and, like you, I love to see it. When Harry gets kicked to the curb and has to come home with tail between his legs, I feel that of the three closest to him (Charles, William and Catherine), Catherine will be the one who will never let him into her heart again and I wouldn't blame her one bit. He's gone after her with gusto and stood by while his wife did the same, when all Catherine ever did was love him and treat him like a second brother. I do see a new hardness to William and Catherine in recent years but that has only come as a direct result of Harkle attacks and antics. They've had to put up with and witness a lot of hateful destruction and attempted destruction of what they hold dear (family, legacy, Commonwealth, reputation) at the hands of those two and even the most light hearted of people would be altered by that.

William has had to have a maturity more than his years for most of his life. When his mother and father divorced, he had to be a surrogate husband to her. When his mother died, he had to be a surrogate father/mother to Harry. When Harry was acting silly and acting out, William had to be even more circumspect in his behavior. He's sailed through most of it with flying colors. William is boring but I'd trust him 1000% more than the hapless, hopeless, pathetically childish Harry.

Ultimately, this debacle with his brother and MM, will serve William very well. He is learning valuable lessons from each new phase of the disaster. His grandmother understood very well the wisdom of patience, subtlety, and discretion. So does the King. These are the necessary virtues of any Monarch, and the hardest to master. William can be seen growing in confidence. Each new assault from Montecito is toughening him, and firming his resolve, all to his benefit.

I believe Catherine to be shy, much like HMTQ. She has been a late bloomer. As I believe the Queen was. When watching old reels of QEII, being empathic, I can almost feel the pain of her shyness and how hard it was for her to be in such huge crowds of admirers. There wasn’t a coldness I saw, I saw fear. But like Catherine, she grew into her role and they both are remarkably beautiful. If I can still say that about Her late Majesty. Part of what makes a woman beautiful is confidence. And I believe confidence is what we see In Catherine now, as we saw in the Queen after she matured. I don’t mind people who differ in opinions with me. Not at all. But when that differing of opinion is punctuated with disrespect, like referring to Catherine as “Kate”, I wonder if there is an agenda that goes along with that opinion. Just saying.

Prince Phillip "retired" at age 95, I felt like the end of days would be coming. It took a few years but his health did take a drastic turn. King Charles III could have a good 20-25 years as King considering both of his parent lived until their late 90s and his grandmothers lived into old age as well. Right?! Catherine didn't have completely fawning press at the beginning and plenty were criticizing her. Two moments that stick out in my memory: when Catherine was wearing a yellow dress that blew up in the wind because it wasn't weighted down and when she was papped topless on the private balcony. In BOTH cases I remember the peanut gallery of the public calling Catherine all sorts of nasty names. If any personality trait that commenter was imagining about Catherine was actually present in her, it would have come out then. It didn't because it's not there.

My view of the Queen changed once she was free of her mothers influence. Who I think was an out & out SNOB. The Queen smiled more and seemed 'happier' to be free

Unless we are Heir apparent or a consort to one, we do not know the weight of that role on the bearer. William has been raised to accept his destiny. Princess of Wales has IMO bloomed and literally become regal before our eyes. She is genuinely gracious and honourable. Many may perceive that as cold. I view it as dignified.

Darlin’ River….I’ll start by saying I’ve never worked as a member of a flight crew. But, I would think asking famous people for selfies would be a no-no. We all are smart enough to know that all famous people are not nice and friendly, and do not like being approached for selfies and autographs. I’m sure someone who follows you has first hand knowledge and will enlighten us.

I agree it’s probably a no no to ask

I’d be surprised that it wasn’t in the work contract that familiar approaches to first class passengers is a no-no.
I think this is a Markle set-up and not initiated by a member of cabin crew

I used to work for British Airways at Gatwick not as cabin crew but as check-in and Yeh,I saw plenty of famous people including the last trip that Diana made with the boys and we most certainly did not approach anyone and ask for an autograph.Few people had mobile phones back then and it would have been totally frowned upon if a staff member had asked for a selfie or an autograph.

People in any walk of life may meet the famous, and the infamous, even. It is utterly unprofessional to do more than provide the service your are paid to provide, to them, to the best of your ability. Displays of over familiarity, or personal admiration, are inappropriate. There are jobs where such behaviour would lead to immediate dismissal, and rightly so.

"Holding Pattern" is a term used by airlines. I think the Flight Attendant's name is a play on that.

I don’t actually think Catherine is the most amazing natural beauty in the world, but I do think that she has really made the most of what she has, and her height and lithe build is one of her best assets I think. Just because she is Williams wife doesn’t mean Catherine has to be perfect, in fact I think it’s nice to see that he married someone who isn’t 100% ‘perfect’ in every way, because it shows that he married for love. AlthoughCatherine is pretty close to perfect these days! Lots of experience.

Mark's comment re Catherine isn't balanced, especially in comparison to Hazbeen (let alone mm). Even when he was a popular member of the BRF, pre-Mm years, we'd all known since H's teens his predilections to trouble, his addictions, multiple scandals. People (including his family) would give him so much leeway on account of his mother's death and unfortunately this has made him so entitled (coupled with his privileged background) that his family & the UK are now paying for all the excuses they'd given him. He's shown his "gratitude" to everyone who's ever had his back and stood by him by betraying them all: his family, his country and the people of that country.
We've never heard anything even approximating the trouble in regards to Catherine. On the contrary, in her teens she's been bullied, shy and probably never even dreamt of ever becoming a duchess, princess, let alone the future Queen. It doesn't mean she's perfect, no one is, but she's been consistent in her behaviour, and she's been in the spotlight for over 20 years now. If there had been some dark or troubling story about her, something would've definitely come to the service at this point. I appreciate her reserve, and in fact wish she'd been more reserved as opposed to the recent overly touchy-feely that she & W have become.

Regarding the comments about Catherine: Today's world values appearance more than substance - sadly. Sometimes we evaluate one's worth based on their wardrobe or physical attractiveness, or we think we can look at someone and determine if they are good or evil, nice or not. I prefer to go by their behaviour which, in the case of royalty (and often celebrity), is public facing. In truth, the rest is gossip. In general, we judge too much and extrapolate what isn't there. We have some insatiable need to paint everyone black or white.

I think it’s wonderful that the Royals mix it up a bit from time to time, changes the dynamic and makes for different photos, I just adore Sophie Duchess of Edinburgh, she would be great fun on a night out, just a generally good egg, unless Meghan is about of course, then the steely glare comes into play 😂
