Thank you for your short and sweet video! I love that you're using ordinary shredded paper, it gives the strips an interesting edge👍🏼
I'm happy that you enjoyed the video, yes shredded paper sometimes looks good on certain designs. But for vortex designs, I prefer to use smooth edged paper strips.

I normally buy coloured priniting papers....80gsm . The smooth side is on the outside.
