No Mega Edit Monday this week, so I think you should all thank Paradox Interactive below for making me produce an original video today instead! Whilst you're there, do check out the game yourself here: foundry.paradoxinteractive.com/RealCivilEngineer
where can i find the mega edits??

hi
HI :)
i find it mildly concerning that the first thing you have to research is a distress beacon, but completely understandable that the first thing you would need to have access to is a distress beacon
"You have fallen into the left nut," one of my favorite quotes from RCE.
“Architect stuff like railings”
I’m sorry, *RAILINGS?!?* Those are *essential* to making safe bridges! Definitely engineering structures
in take and out put are matters of perspective, the in-take is where the machine takes materials into itself off of the belt, the out-put is where the machine puts finished product out onto the belt. In-Put and Out-take would be from the belt's perspective.
Satisfactory meets Space Engineers, with a splash of minecraft and a hint of DSP.
Jeah, I had to think of Dyson Sphere Project too .. ^^
That's what I see. Hopefully it is the best of all worlds.
introduce enemies and now u have factorio xD
Satisfactory players: “Hey, I’ve seen this one.”
Foundry players: “What do you mean you’ve seen it? It’s brand new.”
Minecraft Create Mod Players:
Factorio Players
THATS EXACTLY WHAT I SAID WHEN I SAW THIS
@@AceStraight satisfactory players seeing create mod that was released years after satisfactory:
@kamilhag5488 factorio is wildly different, different mechanics and such. Satisfactory is a 3d exploration, adventure and automation game. Factorio is a 2d factory management sim only. The difference is that factorio's exploration and automation mechanics are vastly different and less immersive. Theyre both great but theyre mearly similar, not even close to identical :P
I happen to know something that might interest you with dwarf fortress.
You can build bridges in it, and use them for both the standard function of crossing gaps as well as more... *unconventional* uses, such as erasing your enemies from existence
It's just me or this game is like Factorio had a baby with Satisfactory?
Nah bro it's just you
I was going to say Satisfactorio.
It kindve reminds me more of a first person Dyson Sphere Program and Satisfactory...Satisfactory Sphere Program?
Well tbf, doesn't have much to do with Factorio except for the research. Not to mention that this is like playing on peacefull. Even Satisfactory had some angry wildlife (dunno if they added something more since the last time I played which was like update 2 or 3)
So yeah, it's just you.
that would be incest, Satisfactory is clearly Factorio's child.
Day 25 of telling mat that 6+9=15 and 6x9=54 and 15+54=69 which means that (6+9)+(6x9)=69
Nice
Hope he sees it on Day 69
Also: 6+9+6x9=69
So you don't need the brackets
you do need brackets@@CubeR4t
Nice
Satisfactory but more cartoon
Exactly what I was thinking. The intro, the alien planet, the UI design. Planet Crafter also reminds me of Satisfactory (also the intro and the alien planet, but the objective is different and the UI design isn't stolen lol). But if you look on the bright side, the clones just show how good Satisfactory is.
Edit: the character design is also "inspired" lol
That's what I thought, it's like a djmbed down version of satisfacory ( not dumbed down but simpler)
yeah, but satisfactory was awful compared to factorio.
@@marceelinoI also thought satisfactory is just 3D Factorio, but worse because it's much more grindy.
and worse in pretty much every regard...
The ore node are finite, there are ones underground you can make unlimited by pumping a liquid into the drill if I understood the video I watched
I may not be a civil engineer, but I am two classes away from Electrical Engineering Technology. I want to be in the circle of "Fellow Engineers"~!
For those who comment, yes it isn't BSEE but I have enough time under my belt from being in the Navy and working as a Project Lead Specialist (not engineer because I didn't have a degree) for a Fortune 100 Company. They trusted me enough to run complete projects and take lead.
So now, I want to finish the degree and I have to thank RCE for making me want to do it.
Love the models and would love to see this on you tube as a mini series like factorio lite.
To avoid conveyor hell with outputs/intakes, try to always turn the conveyors towards the intakes when ending them , that way they don't merge with other conveyors you place right beside them in other outputs
And also, why did I not expect the efficient drilling when RCE started digging the ground?
Oh yeah! I remember playing a demo of this game in NextFest. It was fun. Commenting before watching past the intro and looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
Hopefully unlike city skylines 2, this paradox interactive game will actually be finished at launch. I'm glad that they've reached out to the fan base and attempted to make amends. I can't wait to see what they do going forward and if they make institutional changes in order to make sure that polished finished product is going to market.
they are launching it as an Early Access product
There is no way a CS2 player should buy any other Paradox products until CS2 is fixed. Why reward greed
@@melnkev2010.. because paradox interactive is a smaller studio and theres not really much you can add to CS2 outside of what is already there and what other infrastructure sims have already done...
@@melnkev2010paradox only makes about 400 million per year after production costs
That may *sound* like a lot but other companies are much more greedy and at least paradox *delivers* on their promises even if they do so late. Bethesda, blizzard, EA and such all charge you for a completely unfinished game (as in maybe two hours of content unless you pay for DLC)
Its "intake" because you "take in", and its "output" because you "put out".
i think he was confused why its intake instead of input
@@maneater901 And this is why. You take things in, you don't put them in.
You put out.
You take things out, you dont put them out @@jeffreyblack666
The block breaking is so satisfying and you build a factory, to make a satisfying factory... Satis factory... SATISFCTORY!!😮
I would love more episodes of this!
Fun fact: any mining drill that the President uses is called the Mining Force 1.
Gives me satisfactory mix with space engineers
1:22 The Mole from Thunderbirds must drive Matt wild ;)
I think I've played this before.. Pretty sure your belt can pass through multiple intakes if you pass it straight through like you accidentally did when you messed up research packs. So you don't need a separate output and belt for each smelter.
Make this a series!
The sound for the drill is also the sound of my alarm so every time he used it I got a tiny heart attack 💀
I had a lot of fun with the demo, cant wait for the full game
Intake and output actually makes sense.
You take something in, but you put something out.
The second I saw those drones...."YOU MUST CONSTRUCT ADDITIONAL PYLONS!"
Please make a series out of this 🙏
I wish that they had just one conveyor and not needed sloped conveyors as a separate item. Then you will need to carry a lot of extra items in your inventory, especially when there are multiple levels of conveyors. You will also need sloped conveyor factory 1, 2 and 3 etc to automate it…
The more I watch the video, the more a see factorio in 3d... saw some compare it to a cartoonish satisfactory, but it seems far more simplistic like factorio. Disappointed I hadn't heard of this game, if it was on RCEs radar for a while qwq
13:22
It’s an Intake because it takes in.
It’s an Output because it puts out.
Ah a new vid by our favourite _architect_ 😄
This game feels very SatisFactorio-ish
So.... its a first person factorio?
This feels like a perfect kibitz mega series
1:18 my favorite quote from anyone ever😂😂😂
Looks like satisfactory
oh snap this has a release date been waiting forever!
"Inverse Iceberg" - No, a Iceberg like a pine tree has a larger base and a tip at the top floating above water. And thus the popular saying, "that's just the tip of the Iceberg".
This is just literally cloning aspects of both Satisfactory and Factorio.
please make this a series
The drill must be modelled on The Mole from Thunderbirds?!
I think RCE should try Astro colony too (automation in the space).
a lot of stuff added since I dabbled in will pick it up at some point (too many games in my queue right now)
Bonus non mega edit RCE? Nice!
this game also reminds me of a meme
"Mom can I get Factorio?"
"No Honey, we have Factorio at home"
Factorio at Home:
the opposite of intake is take out, usually hyphenated, take-out. the opposite of output is put-in. but for this game I'd go with load and unload.
I cant play games like these ill get immediately overwhelmed by all the stuff you can do not know where to start then give up😂 glad i can watch someone else play em
The fact you wanted to post this during school hours is crazy
That depends on where you are in the world.
With how those loaders work, they definitely took inspiration from DSP! (Not that that’s a bad thing, the genre’s tiny so more games are always welcome IMO.)
Got Wheatley with tail from spaceship. Don't expect to get the cake after destroying planet.
More of this!
Those drones look very “Protoss Probe” like
I feel like when he says fellow engineers, he’s talking to me 😌
Editor was having a field day with this one.
Paradox? How much DLC will this have?
It always surprise me when he make the strongest shape. Every time I don't expect it.
Satisfactory + Astroneer = Foundry
Dear RCE, your new TTP (time to 'strongest shape') is 1:50. Not bad.
Day 76 of notifying people that the Discord server's Suggestions forum is a better place to suggest new games to Matt. (Just don't ping him!)
"When Paradox"
Oh God, the dlc is going to be in the hundreds isn't it?
Foundry DLC: New Tree: $2😌
All by hand or a cross between Hydroneer and Minecraft?
Outtake is specifically used for tv and films. Intake is used for materials taken into something. Output is material produced by the body, machine or factory. Input is "what is put in, taken in, or operated on by any process or system." (Usually applied to data)
So yeah, for material objects it should be intake/output. So yay English. lol
You should play through the entire tech tree
Looks like a cool game.
So I just started playing Rimworld myself; Id be interested to see if youd enjoy that game as well RCE; Its like a colony based, resource management, survival, base building, upgrading, researching 2D type game. In a way, kind of but not really similar to Timberborners.
I guess this is the video I start
Edit*I did a quick channel search and didnt find any uploads, someone can let me know if I missed it on the channel*
Day 1 of asking RCE to play Rimworld
Its totally Satisfactorio!
More please! Love ot
More please!
Foundery comes out on my birthday
I saw that map seed :) Nice hehe
This is just satisfactory
I been waiting for this game for 2 years
Exploiting natural resources? Matt is making in ancestors proud.
More SatisFactorCraft please 😂
What to see more of this game
I have a question, how do you store all of your games? Im just getting into pc gaming. Ive downloaded a few so far but it got me thinking how streamers and YT gamers store all theirs. Do you just put them on an external hard drive once the series is over or do you delete it and ket Steam or another site remember you purchased ut for you incase you wanna come back to it?
I only keep games I play regularly installed, I can always download them again later if needed!
@@RealCivilEngineerGaming that makes sense. Thanks.
Yeah most places nowadays it's just easier to uninstall games you're done with and redownload them later, unless you live in a backward place like Australia that seems incapable of getting any kind of decent internet speed
Some wierd amalgamation of factorio and satisfactory
Just in time for watching over dinner!
Didn't know Foundry uses Paradox as publisher. Don't think that was the case a year ago. Looking forward to the 2 May to play
It was Paradox during the last Steam Next Fest, so it probably has been for some time.
Thor @Pirate Software would find the TTP of this video hilarious, and all RCE videos 😂
RCE will play any version of factorio but the best one.
When Paddy is walking around with a stick, it's pointing directly upwards? Uhm... OK o___0
love they vidoes
So basically Paradox made Satisfactory on minimal settings
Me: wow, what a cool game
*forgets about the game by the time it’s available time play*
I LOVE THIS GAME!!!
More please
This is literally Satisfactory
More of a good thing, never bad, always good.
Let’s get a manor lords marathon
This kinda reminds me of Space Engineers.
Definitely a rce video. Didn't make it 3 minutes without seeing a very efficient shape. Lol
If satisfactory and minecraft had a baby
9:23 drops bots from space. Still requires you to go down and mine manually lol
The player character is a bot :)
why input / output and not ingress / egress?
‘Railings and stairs’ because health and safety is architecture, folks!
Wow, that research tree ui is not at all a carbon copy of the factorio one...
that tech tree has to be inspired by factorio
This is basically first person, less complex, and less interesting Factorio it seems
