My coach recommended butt kicks raising the knees so the quad is parallel to the ground when the heel hits the butt. My sports doc suggested runners should never squat below 90 degrees as it can result in sore quad and knee pain.

These are good "grease the groove" exercises to include in the tailend of a warmup routine.

Most people tend to build strong muscle for legs, because it causes muscle pain after long running. But building proper running form is also very important for body movement efficiency, and balance to preventing any kind of injuries and discomfort.

Great video and drills. Only thing missing is a better explanation of how long to do each drill, how many reps, etc. You only supplied that info for about two of the drills.

These are professional athletes who have both been to the Olympics and run for a living. They are not your average runners and probably eat insane amounts, so try and think things through. Most general marathoners are just trying to lose weight and really aren't that skinny.

They also run insane amounts more than any other runner could believe humanly possible to make their living and go as fast as they possibly can, they are far from anorexic as that is an unhealthy mental disorder to do with people who starve themselves.
