Fished the predator fly pattern and your hex fly pattern over the last three week's. Highly effective and recommended for Michigan waters. The takes were many even when I missed the strip hook set on a take. The brown's repeatedly rose to your flies. Best dry fly fishing ever. I would put these two flies right up there with the Adams . Thanks again for sharing the videos!
Single digit weather and snow in northern Michigan this weekend. I’m daydreaming about seeing the hex on the river and the trout gobbling them as I float my kayak down the AuSable.
Did very well on the brown drakes using your version of the Robert Drake now the hex hatches on and I just tied four of your emergers trying them tonight
Thanks for your great question, Bryan. The answer is Absolutely! Reasoning: Most emerging aquatics struggle, either in the film or on the surface, while escaping the shuck. The hackle rib helps promote the illusion of movement, making a more effective imitation. Enjoy...
You can use any 2 0r 3xl hook... this is one of my streamer hooks. no model number. Due to the prevalence of hooks on the market, I decided not to add to the growing list of numbers to remember.

Another Tim special! Easy to tie, great instruction. Thanks Tim!
Glad you like it, Mike...
Wow that looks great, kind of like a missing link minus the antron wing. Love it, looks super buggy!
Make sure you show some to the fish...
So can you use the same technique and apply to other patterns such as a caddis
