    Jim, thank you for the instruction. Is there a substitute for the fawn fox belly fur or a source to purchase?

      You can use a tan dubbing try Superfine.

    Hello Jim
    I'm having a very hard time getting my deer hair to flare on my hooks.
    It just won't work
    Can you please help me out with this.

      The type of hair you use is the key. Deer hair is hollow and this is where we get the flare from. Be sure you are using the proper hair the the proper amount. tying to much in will keep your thread from crushing the hair allowing the flare. Also try using a heavier thread go to 6/0 this will hive you more strength to pull it tight.
