Dude I was talking about my wife having push button in her 9th gen just now and your video popped up looks like my 8th gen will be push button now too 😂 thanks for the video bro
I really want to do this but I don't have that area where the traction control button is on my car, I think the Canadian si's didn't have the button and instead got a second cubby hole
@@mikea5205 you would need to buy a push start button kit with a key and sensor. Whole different situation there. This kit is a jdm thang. Fd2 in Japan come with them stock. Just like a s2000.
No the key can still be turned as well. You still need the key to turn forward. It basically acts like a an S2000 now. But unlike the S2000 the key can still be used normally.
it is a great idea to make this button in your car👌😁.i have one question, to start the car with this button did you need to but the key. inside or not?
Hello, very good video, I'm from the Dominican Republic, I have a civic s-i 8th generation I want to know how I can get this ignition kit by boto please
I have a 9th gen so I have the traction control and cabin light button. Do you know if there’s any way to keep the cabin light still operational but put this in?
Hey, did you have a tough time fitting the pnp harness inside the steering column? Ive had a pnp unit before and it was a super tight fit..actually ended up breaking the tiny little pins that line up the plastic of the steering column.
Hey I know this is one of your older vids but I had quick question . The link for auto tech did harness button and bezel come together for 130 dollars thanks
Does this work with the r18 ex fa1? Anyone have any idea some feedback would go a long way, I know it has just an empty slot where the traction control is supposed to be, could I get the little slot and put this on there? Is it even the same install process? :) sorry I don’t much about my fa1
I just installed my start button, follow your video some area you didnt show how you did it, I figure it out and work! easy peezie lol...my question do you know how to delete the ignition from the key so when you turn it wont start. Thank in advance.
Hi, I just received my kit no wire, I have the green wire for the plug behind the push button, have you done your installation with a costom thread that you did?
So that "jumper harness" you got is that for all 8th gen civics? This is my next mod I'm doing. Putting it where the hazard light is for now because of the mirror controls. Edit: autotek says japan orders pushed back to September 😳😳😕😕😥😭😭
Yes. It will kinda work like an S2000. You can either use the key to fully turn it on. Or turn it forward to the on position like and s2000 and then press the button.
Would you say the push start button and bracket were OEM Honda Pieces? i know they were ripped off stickers but were the packers open? seems very cheap for what you are getting. interested in it but would pay extra to make sure i have OEM pieces
Do Boy's Garage thanks for the reply! I’m super big on genuine parts so part of me is always skeptical lol but definitely going to order this. Thanks for the video !
Sorry for the lack of videos last week. I've been fighting off a cold. As you could probably tell by the sound of my voice in this video.
Hope you feel better.
you still using the key

I have the coupe, and our panels is different. We have the electric mirror adjustment assembly to the left of the VSA button...does this still work?
I LOVE IT! Glad this channel isn't all about installing sponsored LED lights....
You still use the key
Any way to make the push button work without the key being in?
That's what I wanna know. If someone can do that for me on my 8th gen....and very clean install.....I'll pay them $300.

i finally received the hardness and I noticed on 3:29 you mentioned the "original brown clip" I don't see it on my 8thcivic?
