Another great show Robert. Elvis recorded 20 Christmas songs. 8 for the first album, the 1966 single and 11 for the 1971 album.

Hey everyone. At the 27:15 mark, the picture freezes until the 28:50 mark. I was in such a hurry to get this video uploaded before Christmas that I didn't have take the time to check the content prior to the upload. Sorry about that. Have a Merry Christmas!

    Hi Robert,
I used to buy from you when my mom and I went to Memphis years ago. The first record I bought from you was the U.S. Mono copy of "Elvis' Gold Records Vol. 4" in the shrink for $1000 back in August of 1990. The last time I saw you was in August of 1998 (you would remember me if you saw me). I'm the notorious "Richie" who was buying the expensive records from you, Paul Lichter and Helmut Rauch back then. It's good to see you on TH-cam and I really enjoy your videos.

Howdy Robert.. I enjoyed the show as usual. I don't typically leave comments, as I usually watch the shows on my TV a day or so after they air. But I wanted to say Thank You, in regards to your comments about Elvis and Christ. It's just something that isn't spoken of enough in my humble opinion. You said just enough, you didn't drag it on so no one should get all bent out a shape about it. I suppose there's folks who still might. But if they're an Elvis fan, then they should already know about the relationship between Elvis and The Man In The Sky.. Elvis would not have been the man he was, without that relationship.
Real quick, I also enjoyed your "Touch of Gold" episode. I've been a fan and collector since 1972.. And EP's or EPA's have always been something I enjoy and collect along with all the other vinyl. It was good to see someone talk about 'em.
I'm also watching your eBay items, and look forward to seeing your future listings..
So Merry Christmas to you folks.. Stay safe and well.... God Bless
    JW

Thank you, Joseph. Elvis was the "King of Rock and Roll" but he praised the another King. Meery Christmas!

Thanks for another great show Robert and it is staggering how many Christmas albums have been released. I have a Pickwick with a green coloured back that I believe was sold in Vegas. Very cool.
Merry Christmas to you and Carol. Bring on more shows in 2023!!

Merry Christmas sir. Can't wait for the next show. I know it's not a Christmas lp, but Reconsider Baby has a long alternate mixed version of Merry Christmas Baby on it as well. On the Keith Flynn Elvis recording site he says that this is the cleanest version and gives his reason why.

Great show as always. Merry Christmas to you and Carol. Take care.

    Hi Alan
Thank you for the show. Just discovered your channel a few weeks ago. I do enjoy it very much. As for the tan label Christmas album, I bought it brand new at a record store named Musicland back in 1980 in my hometown, Clearwater, Florida. I sure didn’t know how rare it was but I’m glad to still have it in a near mint condition. It doesn’t have the bonus photo like the one you had on the show, but again I’m so glad that I didn’t got rid of it back in the early 90’s. Anyway, thank you for the info. I look forward to see the next show. You and Carol have a very
    blessed Christmas and a
    wonderful New Year. God bless!!!!!
    Sincerely,
    Steve

1985 Christmas reissue of 1957 album was during 1985 to commemorate Elvis's 50th birthday. Other non-christmas albums in 1985 to commemorate Elvis's 50th were Reconsider Baby and the Golden Celebration box set, along with some other 50th birthday album releases.

My thoughts about the 1971 Bonus Post Card being in the Tan copy of Wonderful World of Christmas, is that perhaps a collector had a duplicate post card and so they simply put it in the Tan Label album. That inner sleeve is correctly matched to that album, by the way. It looks to be a 54C or 54D, which is what was being produced in 1975 and 1976. The 54B sleeve was from 1973 and it ran through 1974 as well. Cheers!

The 1985 RCA releases said 50th on the label because Elvis would have been 50 years old in 1985!

Hello and Merry Xmas to you and your family Robert. Just a few scattered thoughts on your show:
-The original Camden Christmas album also featured the excellent, Red West-penned, 1966 single, 'If Every Day Was Like Christmas'.
-I agree with you on Santa Claus is Back in Town. It is also my favorite Elvis Xmas song. Not only do we get a synthesis of rock, Xmas, and blues, but it is tailor-made for Elvis' rockin' 1957 vocals. A classic.
-I was not aware of the difference between the Pickwick and the later 1980's RCA version. I will endeavor to pick up one of those RCA copies.
-It's a matter of taste and opinion but I cannot listen to the 1971 Elvis Xmas album. The tone and uncontrollable vibrato on the lead vocals and the sub-standard material make it a cringe-worthy experience for me. I avoid it at all costs. As a collector, however, I will attempt to get the original with sticker and postcard (someday).
-While I played the heck out of my records in the 70's and 80's, I am now like Johnny B. I don't own a record player and I do not play any of my records. I will again some day...probably after I retire. Shout out to JB!
    - I appreciate the Moody Blue album update with the different sticker/vinyl color variations as well as all the other informative and entertaining content. Looking forward to all of your upcoming videos.
    Thanks so much Robert!
