Nicole Kidman is an incredible actress and after seeing this movie, I’m completely in love with Harris Dickinson. He is going to make incredible films.
I’m personally not attracted to Harris Dickinson but I was WILDLY attracted to Samuel. He played his role incredibly well. The moment he walked into the hotel in his black tracksuit, my jaw dropped. Don’t even get me started on the dancing scene! As for Nicole, I was impressed as I always am. I respect the way she never shies away from more controversial roles. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the movie, but I actually really enjoyed it. I’d probably go to the cinema to watch it again, and I rarely feel that way.
@@gottalovetheinternetHow on earth is that a spoiler? In the trailer he literally bonds with a random dog and returns a laptop that she forgot. Already there you can see he's thoughtful and sweet.
It’s refreshing bc some Men enter in consensual BDSM relationships to get away w abusing women. In the movie he said that antiquated when Antonio Banderes said to him this exact thing. But Antonio was right - some male “Doms” do in fact play Master/Slave or Master/Submissive relationships to truly get their misogyny out on women
Loved the film. Nicole Kidman is totally fearless and Harris Dickinson absolutely exudes sex appeal in the way he is able to magnetically draw you in. Their chemistry was off the charts. And as you can see just from the few comments here, people have a lot of problems with a unique female point of view that tackles psychologically complex aspects about human nature. There wasnt even that much sex in the film, and it was done in an inexplicit way that was still super hot. Going to watch the filmmaker's other stuff asap.
Chemistry is chemistry. Also a woman director telling a story that all women are beautiful and sexual beings god forbid over 40!! Cant wait to see it. ❤
As a 48 year old woman who has been approached in this dynamic with younger men, I find younger men to be very confident and attractive. They aren’t babies like men my age. They take charge and take care of you.
Because YOU let younger men take charge. You don’t want an older man taking charge over you. I’m assuming you mean in an interpersonal relationship at home and not in a work relationship. Power is given and I’m assuming you mean in a sexual way.
Yes Harris, I agree. No raisins. So who else would like Hakuna to next turn the Romantic Comedy on it's head? If anyone could do justice to a modern version of Philadelphia Story she could!
Truth, and I think that's what made him off putting to me at first, guess I'm an old head but there were many instances where I didn't like his treatment. Then of course he kinda grows on you😬
@martine2172 They might be more cocky than previous generations in a way or more convinced of their convictions because of the echo chambers of social media. But that's not confidence. As interesting as this movie looks, I'm not sure who it is for. Gen-Z women are too feminist for it. They're not gonna like the dominating attitude from the male lead character. Gen-Z men that are movie-goers won't identify with him at all. I guess it could have sort of a romance novel appeal for audiences above a certain age.
@@maxpayne232 I think in so many ways gen z is the most insecure generation, especially socially. Since the main character is a older female, I can see that being the target audience.
@Michal-ke6lu oh gosh IDK but every grocery store has them in the healthy food section and sometimes by the till. Gigantic round cookie solo packaging in pink/purple. They don't taste good, I agree with Nicole.
@@JB-tt6ct The supermarket cookies are super sweet. I think I will limit myself to granola cookies from the bakery. Do you mean the gigantic cookies that they sell in healthfood stores? I live in Canada, we don't have the same products.
@Michal-ke6lu no just normal groceries, so I tried them out on a whim. Yeah, labeled healthy with dates and stevia and whatever but they are weirdly sweet, sticky, underbaked and gross. I also like crunch and thought the coco bits and nuts would save it but noooo
My take away from the film is about freedom, forgiveness, empowerment , learning , and at the end she was betrayed not by Samuel who was just as "sick" as her but by another woman.
I like Nicole but this is not a never seen before movie role. Women in dominant sexual roles: Demi Moore in Disclosure, Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct, Madonna in Body of Evidence. All from the 90's.
As a Dutch person I love her, but it has nothing to do with me being Dutch … I first saw her when she was 13 at a summer theatre camp and she was and always has been this unique gifted sparkling person. We do not know each other in person but I am a big admirer of her as an actress and now director. It’s honest and true and some (puke, Johan Derksen) men can’t stand her but they just are the ones you should lash out against. Not her. She deserves all the credit she gets now. Well done Halina ❤
😄 TECH company CEO. I mean it's acting! Kidman left high school at 16/17 to pursue acting fulltime. So she doesn't have a higher school certificate. Embarrassing is playing a NEUROsurgeon - at the age of 22! That wss Kidman in her first Hollywood film "Days of Thunder". I guess the backstory of her character had to have been child prodigy who finished high school and graduated university many years ahead of the normal age. It takes several years just to complete a full medical degree, just the basic MD degree, and then you have to add on a few more years to become a specialist, and add on a couple of years for hospital residency.

What i loved was that Samuel didn’t turn out to be a bad person … at all! He was so sweet. May be very kinky, but he taught her how to live

@sophspice32 Except that she's totally wrong about Gen-Z being more confident.
Nicole is such a beautiful woman❤
And she seems so fun here, too. So full of humility and good humor. Love her!
Loved babygirl, cinematography and soundtrack on point too
YES! Haven’t seen many people comment on the soundtrack yet but I thought it was perfect!
He looks like her teenage son in the interview with that cute hairstyle
harris has a letterboxd account 👀 damn i hope he finds funny all the reviews thirsting about him lmao

I could see them dating in real life in like a parallel universe.
Harris is so handsome. I have a crush on him but I haven't seen the movie yet

This is like the 3rd film this year about a middle aged white woman getting involved with a much younger guy. And Nicole Kidman has been in 2 of them.
