I think Mike Tyson said it best... “Social media made you all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it.”
i watched your video while researching the meaning of MLL$R. I do a lot of watching for things I'm interested in. I've never had a bike, but I've been a rider a few times with an Air Force buddy who had one. You sir opened my eyes about a group that to be honest gets a bad name with some, mostly because I don't get to see an in-depth conversation. Honor & Respect. It's not necessary to make a comment, and some people who have nothing helpful to say, ...or respectful, sometimes should just lean toward silence like you say. That way, we'd all get to understand each other better and work together. Thanks for a really good explanation. Much respect. Nice garage, I'd say you know a thing or two about machines.
It had to be said and I'm glad you did!! That statement had been thrown at me several times for trailering my softail custom from Atlanta to Daytona. My late wife had cancer and was going thru treatments and couldn't ride far. She loved to ride, in fact it's how we met in 1974. She insisted I buy this bike in 1998 while she was going thru treatments. She wanted to ride with whatever time she had left. She passed away in 2002. I still have her bike. She never piloted the softail, I call it hers because she insisted I buy it because she said I deserved it. She also said...I could never sell it without her permission. Yawp...it's all about respect!! Thank you!!
@@ProfessionalMonkey my son the HD Master tech keeps her bike in top shape and I ride it, often with her helmet strapped to the passenger pillon. If you like that story, I've got many more I plan to vlog on my channel as soon as I figure out the whole TH-cam thing. Like you sir, I'm a story teller and have been a REAL biker all my life
I am a Veteran, 37 years old, never riden a motorcycle in my life, have spent some time as LEO in one form or another. I absolutely have to say, I completely agree with this video and your channel, I just stumbled across it. I remember dealing with the Banditos and the Angels one time in 2012/13 as LEO, I knew and still know nothing about bikes. I was sent on a noise complaint. They were all in thier cuts, total of maybe 50, and 2 of us. I respected them, they cop and bacon joked us, not being able to restrain myself I added one or two cop jokes. Who can dis me better than me. But I remained respectful, and didn't bs them about knowing about bikes. Finally someone in charge motioned us over, I explained the situation respectfully, and we all met a common ground, and I was happy to be able to walk back out of the pack. I fully believe and have for decades, give respect to get respect. I absolutely agree the lady and daughter mentioned, that's freaking awesome! I hope you all ride safe and enjoy the view.
I'm with ya, brother. I'm 56, have rode with a diamond club since I was 20. We would give the guys that would trailer their bikes till about 30 miles from rallies, then change into their dirtiest clothes and claim to have ridden the whole way. We called em "trailer maggots" (replace the m). But if ANYONE wants to trailer their bikes the whole trip, then asks for help unloading, we would be more than happy to help. Then you have a woman that wants to bring her disabled daughter & trailers their bike the whole way... that is a woman with CLASS. The first person I hear call her a fake biker because she didn't ride the whole way, he will be lucky if all I use is a ball-peen hammer. ML&R
Everyone deserves a certain minimal amount of respect simply for being a man or woman created in the image of God. If you would like more respect than that, you need to earn it.
You had me at "me and 6 other guys would man-handle that bike out for you" it's not just how bikers are but how we where brought up to help others, as others would help us when we need it.
you're totally right, now that we got that completely disrespectful orange maniac outta the White House, maybe now the US can go back to some kind of normalcy. maybe there won't be any more mental cases with guns trying to overthrow our lawfully elected officials and stage public hangings during official proceedings. i agree with you 100%.
I am 71 years old and I have a bad back. I trailer my bike because I can no longer do the long runs. I catch shit all of the time about it. I consider the source and ignore them. The person who said that has no class. Agree 100% with you.
Riding at 71 gives you a pass on most things. Not that you need one to put a bike on a trailer, but, f**k them. Do your thing. I'm almost there. Late 60s, fake hips, fake knees, riding more than a snowflake would believe.
You been riding long than a lot of folks have been alive! Check out Athlean X on here, he probably has some videos that will help with the back stuff. Sure helped me.
God Love You. I have been going to Sturgis with my brother-in-law for 19 years and we rode our bikes there for many years. He can no longer ride because of Parkinson and no longer can ride or be passenger on a bike, but we still go. The difference is I have a toy hauler and purchased a trike that he can ride on. I also need the trike for my wife because she also can not ride on a bike. I do have my Heritage which I still ride. Per you advice, I will now carry a ballpeen hammer ... Ha!
I don't know...maybe maybe not. I've seen entirely too many instances of so called "brothers" acting like complete elitist 1%r morons. I have limits. I have witnessed far too many fellow patch holders exceeding them.
This may be your BEST video yet! You are EXACTLY RIGHT. My wife and I both enjoy riding and we ride as often as possible. My wife has back issues and after about 150 miles, she's ready to call it a day and I respect that. To say she "isn't a real biker" is an insult. Thanks for the rant.
💯 agree. Loved this video. My wife also loves to ride, but does not like interstate riding. For the longer destinations, she either follows in her car, or we trailer. I’m not sure if I should be angered or truly feel sorry for those that feel the need to bash a total stranger about their personal choices.
Love watching your videos. Have to say this is one of the best Brother. I have a daughter (grown now) with a disability, Tourette Syndrome. Watching her grow up was hard the adults were worse than the kids. The problem is people are too fast to judge before they open their mouth or make a comment. Thanks, MLH&R
that lady deserves the utmost respect God bless her for wanting to give her daughter the experience of her life .. Hope to see you in Sturgis Im going to attempt to ride my triglide up from texas
We never know what is happening in someone’s life, keep it shut unless you want to help. While you were telling the story, I was like plenty of us will help you get it off the truck. Great message my friend!
Yeah, people are gettin all too complacent everyday. You never know what what kind of day someone's havin, or where they're comin from... I dunno, that shit's not me, and I don't get how they might think it makes 'em look tough, or whatever they're thinkin... Much-love bro! Love the channel!
Thank you, thank you for this installment! I am in 100% agreement with you. I’m so sick of hearing people say “you’re not a real biker if.....” Some people need to get it thru their skulls that we’re a family even if we’ve never met. And as in any family, we have varying circumstances and problems that we deal with that weigh us down, that others may not even be aware of. The important thing is that we cast off those things to come together and BE A FAMILY of bikers. It doesn’t matter how a bike gets to a rally, it matters that we’re there to have a great time for the week. If I ever heard that guy say that in person, he’d be kissin’ the dirt. Been looking forward to the live stream for a couple weeks, count me in. Give my regards to Mrs. Monkey as well. Peace.
My lord, I was starting to think I was losing my mind thinking this way. Respect and common courtesy are becoming increasingly rare in this day and age. You couldn't have said it better.
You nailed the biker community on the head. If there is someone treating you like crap, there is going to be someone saying it's on. There are people out there willing to be a brother or sister and they don't even know your name. That's what it's all about. Respect.
I'm the small short dude that would not accost the a-hole, but damn straight I'd try and help those that need it. That's part and parcel of being a biker.
I was at an HD Event and a rep from S&S was there. While I was looking at slip-ons for my bike he came around and said "Whatcha Ridin' Bud?" I replied "Sportster" to which he laughed in my face. I instantly saw red, kept my cool and walked away. I got the Sportster because my father was killed and it was passed down to me. Thanks for the video, this one hit home.
Respect is a huge word, you hit the nail on the head. A lot think they're super bikers behind the keyboard, but in reality, respect shows what type you are
I call those individuals couch riders . Most are sitting in momma's basement on the keyboard and go to the local Dealership and tell the salesman what a POS a 35,000 dollar bike they are and they ride a Vespa .
THANK YOU for all the info that you provide ! No matter whether it's an MC or a riding group , there is almost always at least one individual that has something to say about everything and never has any respect for their self or anyone else , even local HOG chapters have these problems ! I learned respect from my Father and Grandfather , both being Veterans and then I gained even more respect for others no matter where they came from or the color of their skin , because we all bleed the same ! There is good and bad in all people , it's what's in your heart that counts . All I ask is that if someone is going to buy a bike and haul it to a rally and they have not ever rode or it's been years since they have been on a bike , PLEASE TAKE A SAFETY COURSE before going anywhere as the course not only will save your life but maybe someone else's to . Hoss U.S.ARMY 69-71 RVN
LOYALTY, HONOUR. RESPECT. These words were drumed into me as a young fella growing up in the UK. I was a "troubled" youth (which basically means i was always in trouble) A close family friend ( i called him uncle Bobby) who was a long serving member of an MC (of coarse i won't say which MC but surfice to say they are well known and are legit.) Anyway he took me under his wing and put me on the righteous path. He taught me to show respect to everyone, untill such time that they showed me they didn't deserve my respect. This is how i've lived my life and it's served me well. Uncle Bobby was a huge man coveved in ink and looked like he would rip your head off if u looked at him the wrong way but in reality he was a rightous man with a heart of gold and only those who disrespected him or those he loved need fear him. People are to quick to judge before they know what kind of person someone is, what they have achieved or what their going thru, so thats why i show respect untill such time they show me they don't deserve any. My uncle Bobby has passed on now but the lessons he taught me remain with me and i'am forever grateful that he was in my life.
This is a great channel. I stumbled onto it looking at tech vids for my dyna, and i'm glad i did. I rode with BACA back before i got hurt, glad to see you guys still having fun and living the mission.
Love you Man!!! Awesome video!!! I was recently hammered by those comments on a facebook biker group page when I asked about trailer size for 2 Harleys. I even prefaced my question with how we rode our bikes for many of the rallys we attend but with age and more than one close call on the road, we just aren't as comfortable with it anymore.
Hello, thank you for bringing this foward its a big topic.Iam 62 built 2 of own Harley chops and road many many miles and still riding my chop. I want to say ( Respect )has been the most important part of all my riding memories . Thank you for infoarming the masses. Ride on ,Nick.
Great video and great message for everyone! You never know what someone else is going through in their life and it’s best to keep your mouth shut and show some respect.
I'm glad to see you bring this situation up. I'm semi guilty of this (towards myself), not where I expect everyone else to ride that distance but I expect myself to do so. I don't care how OTHERS get there, just how I do. and I will be one of the first to (try to) help someone load/unload their bike. Being disabled myself I completely get it. I can see one advantage for sure of trailering a bike. you can come back with bigger/more stuff from the rally. I'm gonna turn into one of those old codgers with long grey hair and long grey beard that gets his shower riding in the rain even if I have to eventually be on three instead of two. When its all said and done I don't care how my FAMILY gets there, I'm just glad they are and its a giant reunion. something I learned from I'll just say a different lifestyle is T.H.R.I.L.L. Trust, Honesty, Respect, Integrity, Love, and Loyalty.
I have a son with Autism and it is an everyday thing. Unfortunately, empathy is a lost trait in a lot of people out there. Much less showing respect... I wish things were different. But thankfully there are people out there who believe in doing the right the thing, and helping your fellow man/woman out. People like you and the Mrs. That's why I love watching your videos! Not only is there great content, but you are good people. Thanks for being you!
Nailed it! Keyboard muscles!! I said on one of your other post. I rode it on my Softail from Jersey in 09. The guy that I had service the bike prior said , oh you’re riding it? I said yeah all proud of myself. He says , yeah you’ll do that once & that’ll be enough. Damn was he right. At least from Jersey it’s nothing but highway and cornfields unless you have all the time in the world. What a boring ride! Sturgis is amazing. Why would anyone want to take time away from riding in sturgis. Now I have a streetglide & guess what, it’s going in a trailer cause I wanna get there ASAP and enjoy the amazing roads in that area. If I’m not a real biker because of that. I’m okay with that.
It's true. I go about 5,000 miles from South Florida to Sturgis and back. With the exception of a few miles in Tennessee it is the most mind numbing drive on earth. I do three 800 mile days, sleep in my rig at night, then put on about 2,000 miles in the black hills when I am up there. Because I am fresh I love every freaking minute of it.
You're alright sir, take as long as you need. It has been a long, bad year. You're right tho, respect has been lost over the years. Think it started when spanking was frowned upon and then got changed to "child abuse". It was back when I was growing up in the late 70's that my dad just had to look at me and it was understood to watch what I say or do next or it may be the last time I'm seen alive. I do that to my kids and yeah they feel "entitled" but I brought out the belt enough times and they know the look to say to themselves "maybe I ought to think about this before I act or open my mouth". They're getting to the point where they don't need to even re-think their thoughts so that's a sign that they'll be alright in life. Cheers to you good sir, happy "medicating". :)
My man you’re so right and I am so glad you brought this up, so many “tough guys” love to hide behind a freaking keyboard, it’s really easy to criticize or bad mouth when they are clueless. Maybe people do need a hard reality check when they get mouthy when they’re in their house! Welll said thank you for speaking your mind, and saying what we’re thinking!
First time commenting on one of your videos. PREACH on man. This could not be more spot on! Thank you soo much for giving this topic air time and making everyone think beyond themselves!
Dude , I am so glad you made this video ! The way to make yourself feel better about yourself is not to bring someone else down to your level , but by helping someone else and taking you both up to the next level . Much love and respect , and I hope I see The Monkeys in Sturgis this year !!
Great video Monk. Totally agree 100 percent. I have a saying I've used for years for people like that. " If you aren't feeding me, fucking me or financing me, mind your damn business." Rock on brother, Safe travels
You just won a subscriber with this one! Get your preach on, you are 100% right and boy oh boy, it needs to be shouted from the roof tops. Glad you said it! MLLH&R to you sir!
I applaud that parent for putting in the work to have quality time with their children, ultimately creating memories. Violence doesn't always correct arrogance.✌Nice video by the way. Just checking inn
I learned the code of respect riding my dirt bike in Northern VA, where we rode through a small group of Pagans who were parked at a dead end where we accessed the power line dirt. They stopped us. They were drunk & high. One of my buddies gave them a pack of cigarets. They were Vietnam War vets. We thanked them for their service. They offered warm beer. We chugged it. We were 14 or 15 at the time. We crossed paths other times. Another Pagan lived at a motel where we drove him to a liquor store when we got our drivers licences. The motel was our meeting point before riding the Grass Tracks before it became Shirley Industrial Park. I bet there are some here who remember that place. Hundreds of dirt riders tore that place up in the mid-'70s before buildings went up.
Thank you for doing a video about this subject. We need to stop the disrespect and understand that everyone has a story. We need to listen a lot more to each other. I appreciate all the videos with the information and insight you provide.
This story underscores one of my core ideals: Seek first to understand and ONLY THEN to be understood... Anyway, found this channel recently and love it...thanks for discussions...
Another great video, keep it up. As for her loading issues I’ve used a deck tow truck, $100.00 Canadian got it in/out easily and for the amount I do it, it’s cheaper than buying some specific lift I have to manage all the time I don’t need it. Plus they’ll show up anywhere you are.
Pro Monkey, you’ve said it yourself while explaining the respect aspect and how to behave at biker functions/bars/rally’s etc,,etc. you said Quote: “this is basic kindergarten shit”. I agree 100%!! It’s Sad that these days courtesy, respect, and basic manners and common sense have to be explained at all. The fact you have the intestinal fortitude to keep hammering these lessons to people who should already possess this knowledge from a young age, says a lot about you!You are appreciated, keep em’ comin.
Appreciate your thoughts and beliefs.... You are spot on and I know you will help her and her little one have the best of times and make memories that will last forever and show that there are still good people in this crazy world we live in now......
As a Veteran of 25 years in the Army and two Purple Hearts, 11 deployments, and having some pretty decent everyday aches and pains, I would have a hard time not throat punching that guy! I, personally, would ride. But there are people that have different circumstances that dictate what they are able to do. I love your channel! Love what you are doing! Keep doing you Brother! MLLH&R!!
This is the second video of yours that I've watched now. This video definitely showed me that you are my kind of person. I don't know whom to attribute the quote to, but I've repeatedly heard it said that "a man is never bigger than when he bends over to help a child." The principle at work there isn't necessarily JUST for children, but for anyone less powerful than you are. When you help that woman unload that bike, that is what makes the difference between any other dude and a "real man." When you stick up for that person, that is what makes you a real man. And when you stick up for others like them, that makes you a real man in my eyes. Much love, loyalty, honor and respect to all the real men out there, take care of those in your sphere of influence.
Hey Monk! I agree with you. Whoever made the "real biker" comment probably ain't one themself. I've been ridin H-D's for over 40 years, and have rode to rallies all over this country, on everything from panheads and shovels to big inch wideglides and roadkings. My dad was an old school 1% patchholder since the 1960's. Bikes are my life. And yep, I've done an Iron Ass trip twice for the hell of it. But I'm in my 60's now, with a shot set of knees and a bad back - I just can't ride the 600+ mile days anymore, but I can ride 5-6 hour days when I'm AT a rally. So in 2019, for the first time, I trailered my bike to Sturgis, and I'm doin it again in 2021. I'LL BE THERE, and I'LL BE RIDIN MY BIKE WITH MY BROS. But, maybe I'm not a "real" biker anymore.... Nuff said. Ride free, friend.
I guarantee you're the real deal because I bet you do what you say, when you said you were gonna do it. You take care of yourself up there and I hope to see you!
I'm late to the party here, but what you're talking about is on thing I like about riding. As a subset of the population, we tend to watch out for each other. I've helped and I've been helped. One of my favorite experiences was pushing my old BMW sidecar rig after I holed a piston. I was on the shoulder of a busy highway pushing it home. Cars whizzing by uncomfortably close and not givingva shit. A guy on an old weathered Honda pulled over and minutes later he's towing me with one of my straps. Wouldn't accept gas money. Just pay it forward.
It always goes back to the internet. People wouldn't say that to them in person. Keyboard warriors get their kicks off stirring shit up. People on the internet are always talking about my bike (1994 Sportster 1200). "That's a girl's bike", "When are you going to get a real bike?", etc. Yet I've never had anyone say that to me in person. I've always had the mindset that I don't care what you ride. If you ride, you're a brother (or sister). Every time I go to the Harley dealership one of the sales guys asks me if I want to trade it. I always tell them no. It was my dad's bike. He passed suddenly and it was my inheritance. I'll never get rid of it, and I ride it for him. It's the exact bike I always wanted. #1 because it was his, but also because it's just a bike. An engine, a seat, some tires and handlebars. Nothing fancy, no extras, just me and the road. Now after riding it for a few years I've started wanting another bike. Something that gets more than 80 miles a tank and saddlebags so I can store rain gear and everything else. But the Sportster won't be going anywhere.
Never trailered a bike to the Rally. I've always had a touring bike and lived kinda close. Some day I want to take my Pan Chopper and I will haul it. Do your thing, it AIN'T my business.
I want to hang out in your garage man. I'm all about reapect for men that have compassion for others. This is only the second video of your's I've watched. You're top shelf man. Keep on being you and keeping the bar high.
@@ProfessionalMonkey so, hey. I'm a Christian rider. I don't bar hop but there is an M/C chapter a few miles from me. I've been in their clubhouse a year or so ago during a charity event but haven't had any interaction since then. If I go to their open house, what would be a respectful way of 1. Parking my bike 2. Entering the building and 3. Engaging conversation with a member? Also, I'd like your thoughts on the M/M's how they interact with 1%r's and support.
As a new rider I appreciate and applaud you sir! If it’s anything I’ve learned since riding is how amazing and helpful “scary bikers” are. Just sucks that it’s always those few that screw it up for the rest of us. Yeah I said us…. I’m grateful and honored to feel welcomed into an amazing biker community. It’s a new family for me, and they have welcomed me with open arms and will be forever grateful. Not to get sappy but I had a less than positive family experience growing up as a kid. So thank you to my fellow bikers! Love y’all and appreciate y’all! MattS- Orlando,Fl-03 Sportster 1200 XL Custom(inherited after my father passed in Jan 2020)
so I was throwing the lisence plate on my ultra and listening to this in the background. people like you make me feel so much better about jumping into the harley world.
I saw you on the Firechat with the Boys and subbed. I'm SO glad I was not able to sit in on the live stream because I ride a scooter. NOT a 49cc scooter but a Suzuki Burgman 650 Executive Scooter. Also known as a Big A$$ Scooter. I've had hip replacements ( Both Hips) and a Left Knee replacement. Like you said, you don't know the circumstances on why I ride a Scooter. You have to have thick skin to ride a scooter, which I do. I have a bunch of HD riders at work that LOVE to bust my balls on what I ride. I know they're just kidding and love to kid me about it. I'm 61 ( Going to be 62 in July) and retiring from Bridgestone/Firestone Plant in LaVernge, Tn after 29 years this November. Man I am so ready. I'm selling the Scoot and getting a 2021 Can-Am Spyder RTL. My balance is becoming a question so before it bites me in the butt, I'm going to nip it in the bud........bud. LOL Anyway, I asked a Can-Am Forum about if the new Can-Am's have a TPMS on board. Of course, some butt wipe says, "Been down and check it with a gauge and get some exercise. ( What a Do-Do-Head) I've been on TH-cam since 2007. Been doing this for a long time. I don't do it for the money, I do it for fun and a record of my motorcycle journeys. Call me Old School. Great video buddy.
I am fully with you sir. I personally have been riding for over 20 years and have put thousands and thousands of miles. I will admit in my younger years I felt that you had to ride to rally’s. Then I got rear ended at a stop by a drunk driver. Tore my right shoulder to bits and my right hip. Most thought I would never ride again but I refused to give up. I am riding again but deal with a lot of pain. Can’t lay down the miles like I once did but I am riding. I will trailer to some events and if someone has something to say bring it. That guys opinion means nothing to me
In my van I installed a Harbor Freight remote control winch between the two front seats so if my bike ever breaks down or if I need to haul a bike I can easily load it in there by myself. If anybody's looking for an easy way to load a bike into a pickup or van by yourself I highly recommend a remote control winch and a ramp.
you are 100% right, it is nobodys business to ask anything about yours unless asked and then how hard is it to be nice? i have been riding bikes since i was a teenager in the 70s here in Canada and grew up around the very old school bikers and you learn from them the right way or learn the hard way, i have had people tell me i am not a real biker because i will not go out riding in the rain but that is my choice at 57yrs old i have done my time of tough riding and i will ride in it if i am out there and i run into rain. also have had some say i am not a real biker because i do not drink or bar hop or that i ride a Road King not a Dyna but when they say that to me i do not get mad i just say you do you and i do me that is it. i do not know why people have to justify anything they do in life let alone riding, this poor lady might not have wanted to say why but this shithead had to speak up and make her justify the reason for her simply answered question. sorry for the language but i get just as upset when these turds try to make themselves look better at the expense of others. i really enjoyed this vid and how you approached the subject two thumbs up 👍👍😎
I am 35. I just bought my first bike. Its a 88 Harley 883 hugger. Its rough ish. It was laid down. But a guy thats been riding for years in my neighborhood has been stopping by every other day with parts for me. I road it for the first time yesterday. And today. Ive had people giving me tips and helping me find parts. Great community great people!!!! I will definitely be paying it forward whenever I get the chance.
I agree 100% with you. Why is it that, too many people, feel it is their business, to judge anybody for trailering there bike anywhere or anytime? MIND YOU'RE OWN BUSINESS! I ride mine everywhere, every time I go somewhere and I don't care if anyone trailers theirs or not. IT'S NOT MY BUSINESS!!! Too many "Keyboard tuff guys" out there is what I think it is. IF he is such a badass biker he should know about respect, and he shows clearly HE IS NOT! IF he rides, I bet he's never been on much of a ride over 100 miles in a day. As far as not knowing their story, I feel, they don't need a story, they can do whatever they want, IT'S THEIR LIFE! I challenge this guy to look you up at Sturgis this year, come up to you and tell you. "You're not a biker because you didn't ride yours there!" And IF he would agree to do that, sell tickets! You'd be able to retire early. You just might possibly have the main attraction at Sturgis this year. And I want a front row seat if you do, LOL. But the only time you'll ever hear from him, (and others like him) will only be on a screen where they are behind a keyboard somewhere in their safe place. LOL But anyway, I enjoy your channel and the info you produce.
Respect starts at home, I have a 5 year old biracial grandson, that’s probably gonna have his problems cause of it, but the little guy says yes ma’am, no ma’am, yes sir, no sir, please thank you, and if anybody says anything about him, they’ll get the ball peen, love the video, I show for respect my elders, LEOs, military, first responders, just a little more than average cause people tend to give them crap nowadays. But regardless awesome video, keep up the good work
I think Mike Tyson said it best...
“Social media made you all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it.”
Exactly.
Gonna borrow this quote

When you put those stories up I will listen to them
Dusty, sorry for your loss Brother! Far too many people have been touched by the dreaded "C" word! Loved your story! Remember her always! Peace!
@@jaykelly7992 thank you Jay.
Just not a biker thing my friend, it's a life thing!! No matter who or what you are, everyone deserves respect!! Thank You for sharing!!
We only deserve what we earn...and give.
ML&R
Absolutely!
Everyone deserves a certain minimal amount of respect simply for being a man or woman created in the image of God. If you would like more respect than that, you need to earn it.
That is the sad truth there doesn't seem to be enough respect in the world.
You had me at "me and 6 other guys would man-handle that bike out for you" it's not just how bikers are but how we where brought up to help others, as others would help us when we need it.
ESPECIALLY help older ppl. Disabled and new people wanting to learn. It's starts somewhere,
Ascribing to the concept of "Old School Respect" would fix so many of our society's problems.
That is the truth! Get rid of xbox and spanking on the behind re-instated..make them work for allowance, would all be good for a little respect
Really liked this video. Thank you.
you're totally right, now that we got that completely disrespectful orange maniac outta the White House, maybe now the US can go back to some kind of normalcy. maybe there won't be any more mental cases with guns trying to overthrow our lawfully elected officials and stage public hangings during official proceedings.
i agree with you 100%.
Abosofuckinglutlly
Problem is people hide behind that as well lmfao
You're absolutely right sir, my dad said all the time you don't know everyone's story. Respect or say nothing.
I am 71 years old and I have a bad back. I trailer my bike because I can no longer do the long runs. I catch shit all of the time about it. I consider the source and ignore them. The person who said that has no class. Agree 100% with you.
hey anyone that talks shit to you? Ya got more miles backing your sled up to a bar than they got riding at all. 71 years old? Hats off to you.
Keep on keeping on. New methods, gear, machines.....whatever it take, I'm going for it
Still on 2 wheels at 71... thats respect.
Bless that lady and her daughter. RESPECT!
I'm not a biker, but I like listening to you. As the father of a daughter with a disability, your empathy and perspective is much appreciated!
Thanks for covering this - let me add, Don't call me "Brother" - very few have, or ever will earn that right. Pet Peeve.
Good point. I do when I really like someone, but not right off the bat. That's reserved for those that wear the same rag as me for the most part.
No apologies, please! Good subject, good talk! Thanks
I appreciate that!
We need more people like you in this world. Looking out for those who sometimes can't look out for themselves or need a helping hand. Much Respect!
Thank you!
Ya man
God Love You. Ha!
Re educate them MFers. Keep going as long as you can!!!
Thanks brother. We are better than that. 99% of us are big hearted like you.
Thank you.
Thank you, and tell your wife to keep on riding as much as she can, and screw anyone that talks crap.
MLLH&R. My best to your daughter, such a cruel illness, and yours right, adults are the worst.
So right! We gotta get better at this!
that lady deserves the utmost respect God bless her for wanting to give her daughter the experience of her life .. Hope to see you in Sturgis Im going to attempt to ride my triglide up from texas
Take care!!!
We never know what is happening in someone’s life, keep it shut unless you want to help. While you were telling the story, I was like plenty of us will help you get it off the truck. Great message my friend!
Thanks for that
Yeah if I saw that dude say that to her in person at a rally his ass would be taking a nap.
Do not judge others Least ye be judged.Well said my friend.
That is the one thing that all the things wrong in this world comes down too the lack of respect
Screw that guy... Man I hate judgmental A-Holes. Take care of pops ride, that's awesome that you have it.
I'm a disabled vet. I wish I could ride all the way to sturgis. But there is no way I could. So if I was going I would have to trailer my bike.
RIP Uncle Bobby... thanks to him for setting you stright!
@@ProfessionalMonkey Yes. I owe him alot.
This is a great channel. I stumbled onto it looking at tech vids for my dyna, and i'm glad i did. I rode with BACA back before i got hurt, glad to see you guys still having fun and living the mission.
Right on!
There's always gotta be one, right!?
Hell yes! Great message and I'm thankful you keep it positive.
I've been trolling some back episodes of your vids and brother of all of them, this one hit home the most. Respect.
Amen sir, it's all about respect. These youngsters don't get what it was like to be a biker in the 70's
We try but man the jerks wanna win don't they! Our best to you and yours. That is a tough road for sure.
Oh, THE LOOK.
Thank you for this video, for your empathy, and for sharing this. Hopefully we all learn from this. :)
Thank you!
I really respect what you do. You find a way to do things your own way. I never see you bite anyone. I respect creativity. Keep doing your thing.
Thank you. I really appreciate it and hope that someday we can raise a glass. Have a great holiday!
Mad respect for addressing this. ML&R
Hello from Canada. Keep up the great work. You rock.
First time commenting on one of your videos. PREACH on man. This could not be more spot on! Thank you soo much for giving this topic air time and making everyone think beyond themselves!
I appreciate that
Preach brother preach I'm behind you 100%
Thanks.
Dude , I am so glad you made this video ! The way to make yourself feel better about yourself is not to bring someone else down to your level , but by helping someone else and taking you both up to the next level . Much love and respect , and I hope I see The Monkeys in Sturgis this year !!
Well said! We will be there!
Yea, that falls under the "if you don't have anything nice to say", because you never know their angle.
Great video Monk. Totally agree 100 percent. I have a saying I've used for years for people like that. " If you aren't feeding me, fucking me or financing me, mind your damn business." Rock on brother, Safe travels
ABSOLUTELY!!!!
"You be You" - now that could go on a tee shirt!
You just won a subscriber with this one! Get your preach on, you are 100% right and boy oh boy, it needs to be shouted from the roof tops. Glad you said it! MLLH&R to you sir!
Thanks for subbing!
I applaud that parent for putting in the work to have quality time with their children, ultimately creating memories. Violence doesn't always correct arrogance.✌Nice video by the way. Just checking inn
Thank you.
💯 percent agree!
Thank you for doing a video about this subject. We need to stop the disrespect and understand that everyone has a story. We need to listen a lot more to each other. I appreciate all the videos with the information and insight you provide.
Thank you very much.
I do like when you are in a good mood, but this was a great video. Keep it up and thank you!
Thank you! Will do!
You are absolutely correct, none of these keyboard warriors would say anything to anyones face … They need educating properly! MLLH&R
I totally agree, Well said!
This story underscores one of my core ideals: Seek first to understand and ONLY THEN to be understood...
Anyway, found this channel recently and love it...thanks for discussions...
Amen Brother!
Good tip!
Keyboard warriors...dislike them...thanks for venting what we all have been thinking!
You bet!
Thank you sir. I really appreciate it!
Gotta love these FACEBOOK GANGSTERS!!! They wouldn't act that way in person!!! GUARANTEED!!!💯👍👍
I grew up in Brooklyn around guys in the life. When a real gangster walks into the room YOU KNOW IT
Appreciate your thoughts and beliefs.... You are spot on and I know you will help her and her little one have the best of times and make memories that will last forever and show that there are still good people in this crazy world we live in now......
Hell yes. Tell em brother tell em !!
Right on
Very much needed to discuss this topic...ya just can't get past some of the ignorance out there....glad u covered this topic...
Yup, what you said Monk! 👍
MLLH&R!!
You just hit it on the head. To each their own, but respect each other for their choices. If it doesn't hurt someone else who cares, right?
@@ProfessionalMonkey if you ain't hurting anyone but yourself! Do it again!
here here i totally agree
Truth Monk! Nuff said!
You take care of yourself up there and I hope to see you!
wish i was going to sturgis. maybe next year. much love
You have to give respect to get respect what goes around comes around
Respect is no longer held in the regard that it used to be. Self-entitlement & selfishness is quickly becoming the way bro! Thanks for the post!
As long as a few of us are left it isn't dead.
Amen man! You be you, ill be me, love and respect to each.
Just pay it forward.
you are good person !!!!!
Loved this video! You should remake a version of this every so often as a biker community reminder.
I want to hang out in your garage man. I'm all about reapect for men that have compassion for others.
This is only the second video of your's I've watched. You're top shelf man. Keep on being you and keeping the bar high.
Thank you!!!!
( What a Do-Do-Head)
I've been on TH-cam since 2007. Been doing this for a long time. I don't do it for the money, I do it for fun and a record of my motorcycle journeys. Call me Old School. Great video buddy.
Good advice for anyone. I am a social worker and I often have to stop and consider what the other person is going through
I am fully with you sir. That guys opinion means nothing to me
You keep riding however you can, brother. Take care of you.
I don't ride but you're dropping universal wisdom on this channel. Subbed.
Welcome aboard!
Mad respect for you man! You're standing up for not only your friends but for strangers as well! Keep up the good fight!✊
Good idea!
you are 100% right, it is nobodys business to ask anything about yours unless asked and then how hard is it to be nice? i have been riding bikes since i was a teenager in the 70s here in Canada and grew up around the very old school bikers and you learn from them the right way or learn the hard way, i have had people tell me i am not a real biker because i will not go out riding in the rain but that is my choice at 57yrs old i have done my time of tough riding and i will ride in it if i am out there and i run into rain. also have had some say i am not a real biker because i do not drink or bar hop or that i ride a Road King not a Dyna but when they say that to me i do not get mad i just say you do you and i do me that is it. i do not know why people have to justify anything they do in life let alone riding, this poor lady might not have wanted to say why but this shithead had to speak up and make her justify the reason for her simply answered question. sorry for the language but i get just as upset when these turds try to make themselves look better at the expense of others. i really enjoyed this vid and how you approached the subject two thumbs up 👍👍😎
Thank you for saying this. Those of us who are willing to help anyone are also angered with these types.
Thanks for bringing this topic up. It happens more than most people know!

LOL
But anyway, I enjoy your channel and the info you produce.
