Quick question sir when I open my QG 4000 generator oil cap, the skin is peeling inside of oil tank . And my generator won’t start or few second then stop. It’s brand new . So how do you recommend? Thanks

@@Dandan-hl5gp hey, I don’t think I fully understand what you are asking. Would you mind explaining your situation in more detail? Hopefully that way I know what direction to point you in

I am dealing with repairing some chewed wires from a rat. I am putting it back together but since the wires were chewed off of the brush wires, I cannot figure which wire to connect to which brush block terminals. The wires from the harness are labeled F+ & F-. The online wiring diagram only calls them F1 & F2. I also found the following in the service manual: Connect the F2 lead wire to the outer brush terminal (near bearing) and the F1 lead wire to the inner brush terminal. This does not help me since my wires are F+ & F-. I wish someone could help me translate them. I watched a video from Flight Systems and he was working on a Marquis/Emerald generator and specifically said that the polarity mattered. I just don't know if that is the same with the 4000 micro quiet. Thanks for any help!

Hey wish I could help. I plan on buying a generator to keep around to help with questions like this, but I don't currently have access to this generator. I would almost always consider polarity to be important, especially if it is labeled on the wire themselves.

@@aiyogarageI agree, there must be a reason they are labeled. I am running into walls wherever I look for an answer. I may just have to experiment with the polarity and hopes it doesn't mess anything up.

Well I cleaned out my carb jets, still no start BUT Im hearing the dip stick is poorly designed, many say drain oil to just above the add and that will fix my problem shutoff issue. The fill level is higher than the oil pressure sensor

I’m not familiar with an oil pressure sensor equipped on these units. Only an oil level sensor. Could be an issue with the sensor.

@@gosselinsergegs I know I agree. I think the biggest reason this generator is in so many RVs is because of the dimensions of the generator itself
