I really appreciate all your tips and helpful ideas. I just finished a small sign using the Bosch Colt GFK125CE. It has two built in LED lights that work very well. Thanks

Thanks Eric. Great info. I think I'll try the battery style. Looks like the hot ticket to me.

Thanks Eric, I ruined a sign this evening because I couldn’t see my markings. I also learned not to stain the wood with dark stain and use a black marker to outline the letters. 🤪. The correct bits would help also. You may be getting an order from me real soon.

Great suggestions! Hot glue residue is also removable with rubber cement thinner. Unlike lacquer thinner or acetone, rubber cement thinner will not damage most plastics. I've never had it damage anything but adhesives. It's very specific as to what it will dissolve.

Hi Eric Have'nt tried the fairy lights yet, in my previous life was a lighting consultant and we had our own showroom, currently Im using a two armed book light similar to yours one of the issues when I was talking to customers about task lighting was from a single source IE desk light, single head light is the sharp shadows from a single source ie cutting vegetables on a kitchen counter with just one source and bringing down a harsh shadow with every knife cut. Same applies to routing my 2 arm lights(battery op (AAA) softens shadows and im assuming the fairy lights do as well. only issue i have with my book lights is I need to take apart( approx every 10 hours) to clean sawdust off of contacts. very informative vid

i use a combination of a goose neck desk lamp and a book lite on my router .gives me great light. i also use my cheaters , and like you i don't use the light on the cheaters . we are doing well and being safe , and glad all of you are ok .business is a little slow now but it will get better .stay safe .

Those fairy lights would actually work even better in the colt because of the closed back and trapping the light, but one would think with all the great light options we have nowadays that these router manufactures would have set up lighting options, I know some do, but it’s not very good and based on old technology. Great video. Thanks God Bless

Would it be possible to hot glue them onto the interior bottom of the housing, right where it meets the baseplate?

So having watched most of your videos at least one time if not multiple do you find that your go to lighting is fairy lights hands-down or have you come up with something new? I look forward to your response
