    The 'detune' is actually what 'unison' is in synthesizers. Another side note: the tracking is fast on these devices, simply because there is no actual tracking. It just takes the original signal and reproduces it at a fixed conversion (twice the frequency for octave up for instance). It's with pedals that actually harmonize based on a given note (dialed in or sometimes even via audio-in) that actual tracking takes place. But, these reviews are some of the best on the net, as we can all concur.

    omfg you're literally the only youtuber that let's me hear what this sounds like without 15 minutes of talking about the god damn history of the pedal. Thank you baby jesus. I don't even think any of the other youtubers that reviewed the whammy dt pedal know how to play guitar honestly. I felt like they just kept talking about the same shit on loop. Thought I was gonna get to the end of the 20 minutes and they haven't played one note lol. Thanks. Sorry for the rant.

    Hello sir! Thank you for this video! One quick question! Is it possible tu use the octaver effect while beign de-tuned ? For instance if I would like to cover Slash's Paradise City solo, using the pedal to be tuned 1/2 step down AND activate the octaver effect, still of course being tuned 1/2 step down!

    I have an Electro Harmonix Pitch Fork and some questions came to my mind:
    1) Can it go triple octave?
    2) My pedal has a blend knob in which I can select the percentage of dry and wet signal I want. Does this one have that too?

    I recently purchased a Whammy DT. It's working fine, except for a big loss of volume, relative to the true bypass condition, and other conditions (when applying the effects). In DSP mode the volume drops a lot.
    Is it a problem with my unit or is it something common with the equipment? I really need guidance because I can't find explanations on the internet.

    Glad I YT'd this video. Would have loved to see the extra foot switch pedal being used for the hands free but I'll do a search for that one. Another thing is I like the distortion effect but I'm wondering how this would sound with a Auto-Wah inline before this pedal. I believe Jimmy Page uses this with his Auto-Wah on both Ramble On & Kashmir. One of the many reasons I'm buying this pedal because of the added effects that would give songs a little fill now & then during the different riffs.....

    How does the Whammy DT Droptune function fare against the Digitech DT standalone pedal? Really want an up to date, reliable DTuner, but i also want Whammy so if i need both then cool. just need to know if the standalone DT pedal is better or not than the DT function on the Whammy DT.
    Cheers!

    • @baxshop
      @baxshop  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The whammy DT has more possibilities than the Digitech DT standalone pedal. With the standalone pedal you can tune down with one click on the pedal, but with the whammy you can aslo change your tunig ( and drop that down of course).

    • @ktmad
      @ktmad 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for your quick response, my main concern is the quality of chords in C# (down 4 semitones) in standard tuning and how they compare. I'd expect the DT standalone pedal to perhaps be better than the Whammy for this specific comparison since it came out a few years later? Just curious if you know or could test this please? Many thanks guys!

      @alexanderpa2868 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @alexanderpa2868
      @alexanderpa2868 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Wadsmitter no, the literal definition is to lower the lowest string in relation to the others, that's the point of drop tuning (compared to down tuning which is what you probably mean)

    • @smileypie22000
      @smileypie22000 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      The god damn pedal calls the feature drop tune and it doesn't just drop your lowest string so take your definition and shove it.

Well, Slammi was pretty much Ok, but inconvenient in changing settings. Right now I`m planning getting a guitar with extended range and wanna having a small auxiliary processor with pitch shifter and some other effects in case smth will go wrong and I`ll have to play regular guitars). Whammy DT is too big for my pedalboard, Digitech drop doesn`t have all the functions I need from pitch shifter.
