Thanks for this. Got one from your discount link. Arrived. Fitted. Works like a dream. Does exactly what you showed on the vid, fab quality images from the cameras. All that functionality for £120. Whats not to like. Thanks for showing it Richy, I would never have found this product without the vid. Really pleased I have it on the bike now. 👍
Cheers Richy, great video ive been eyeing up getting something like this for ages and just picked one up with your discount for under £120, which is a steal. Thanks again
Hi Richy, you want to try the Healtech Thunderbox, a brilliant bit of kit. It's a tiny box that you connect to your battery which has multiple points to connect your accessories to. It waits until your bike starts before powering up your accessories (hence stops any initial drain on battery before starting the bike) & auto shuts accessories down a matter of seconds after you've switched the bike off. Saves having to find switched lives & messing with wiring & it's not expensive. Just fitted one on my bike with my carplay system this week. 👌
Love the idea of this unit and android auto is brilliant, have it in my car. But... If you're going any distance you'll still need to charge the phone as the batteries get a hammering using wireless connections. But also I use some mapping systems on a tablet that could go on my phone, I'd be interested to see how they work via android auto. But this pro system with cameras is definitely a great option, more googling to do me thinks 👌🏻
I have last year’s Bikeplay/carplay unit and on my iPhone 13 Mini the battery barely lasts one riding day using Bikeplay/carplay - mainly since battery drains quicker having to employ both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. So on longer rides I’ll have to use a power bank to maintain power through a full riding day.
Hi thanks for the heads up on this bit tech have just ordered one. Have just overcome my anxiety and got back on the bike after a 2 year lay off due to health. Only go on short rides at the moment hopefully this bit of tech will get me out more and further afield. Thanks Richy and if you ever venture in to the Lincoln area I owe you a brew.

I've just bought something very similar but without the cameras using android auto. And your main phone can be in your jacket pocket.Comes with a quad lock style fitting and can be taken of aswell. Tech becoming more suitable to us bike riders.
Ordered one, but I’ve gone for non camera version. Why? Well I’ve got Apple CarPlay in the car, it can be a distraction when you are driving, I don’t want to do too much tapping and looking at the screen while I’m riding. I’ve got some Oxford £5.00 blind spot mirrors for seeing what’s behind me. I appreciate the extra tech, but sometimes more Tech = more gremlins. The Mini Moto tracker I’ve got is great, had it for years.
Looks amazing but checking their website, there’s no stem mount in the box :(. I have an RR and would love to have a decent GPS like this and the price is amazing but without the ability to mount it on the stem it’s a no go. Such a shame…
Well mine arrived in about a week, just the C5 basic, now is it me or am I missing something connected up via Bluetooth to phone, sena is still connected to phone. Unit comes on Fannies about a bit to connect to Android Auto but comes on lol, navigation on screen all good but all audio is coming out of back of the Aaoocii, obviously I'd like it to come via the Sena I've tried all sorts, anyone has any solutions to this I'd be very grateful thanks.
Have it for 5 months. Dashcam records only at 1080n. At 720 and 1080p image flicker. Contacted with company and told me that despite of their site advertisement for 1080p recording, that's not the case and can only deliver 1080n. Image flicker at 720 p or n also
Oh, I don’t have any image flicker on mine? Plus, the footage is really only intended for evidence in the event of an incident. I’ll check my settings…
@@RichyVida Advertised also for trip documentation and I found it cool option to record your trip. At 1080n at the moment works but any other option comes with image flickering. For sure doesn't much with their site 1080p recording capability☹️
Thanks Richy. Couple of questions for you or any other users : 1) Is the view of the rear camera wide enough to act as a blind spot check? 2) Can you display the rear view on top of navigation view, picture in picture style? Thanks!
Oh no! The dreaded helmet sneeze! The worst part of riding 😂 I just got a vehicle with android auto and it is super cool. I also got a Garmin zumo xt2 wired in and mounted to my bike before I knew what android auto was like. Richy, did you solve the 'lock file' message. If not I suspect your G sensor is set to high sensitivity and each time your hitting a biggish bump the G sensor activates and locks that file to protect from deletion as it thinks it may be an accident impact. Looking to get the C6Pro as a xmas pressie for the Tiger (with your code obviously).

After watching your video about the Aoocci C5 Pro and many other versions on TH-cam from other TH-camrs I ordered the C5 Pro. It arrived today and I am informing you that it is a scam while using your good name to promote this product. What I received was NOT what you reviewed. It is a generic dash cam that is available on AliExpress for half the price of what I paid. It arrived in a generic box nothing like what you unboxed NO Aoocci branding on the box , NO Aoocci branding on the device.Totally different wiring harness compared to what you reviewed , NO colour coded leads to hook up power or the cameras. NO manual at all , No where is it listing an IP67 waterproof rating. In other words the item you are spruiking for AOOCCI is NOT what is being delivered to paying customers. I realise this is not your fault , I do enjoy your videos but I thought you might appreciate knowing just how this company is operating. Cheers Gregorio
I can assure you this is not the case, Gregorio. I’ve sold hundreds of them without a single issue, quite the contrary. If they sent the wrong product, did you contact them to explain? I guarantee it will be sorted and will have been an oversight at the factory. Let me know.
@@RichyVida I would agree with above that what they may send you (mine received 25/11) is not necessarily as advertised, as follows: The packaging box states it is a "Dash Cam" and neither the box or product has any Aoocci branding at all, it is like it has been supplied by a random seller on Ebay, not Aoocci. There are no instructions supplied. There are lots of bags full of random screws and fixings which do not match the photos of the mounting bracket or claimed anti-theft bracket. The power lead supplied only has black and red wires, no yellow ACC wire as shown. The cameras have no distinguishing labels or colour coding to indicate which is front or back I powered the unit up using the supplied USB cable. I was greeted with a "Welcome" message, no Aoocci logo to be seen anywhere. The main menu screen is black and white, not in colour. The outside of the box states a max 256GB memory card spec, the "updated" instructions below state 32-128GB I contacted Aoocci and they claimed this: "The product you received is our updated product, regarding your mention of the product not having a brand logo, we are using the new product packaging. Please rest assured that we can guarantee that the product you purchased is a genuine AOCCI product". Bullsh*t? They also sent a link for the updated instructions here: aoocci.com/pages/c5-user-manual?_pos=4&_sid=c17e9df77&_ss=r Clearly there are discrepancies with what you reviewed as advertised and what this is now. Also note that the IP rating in the instructions is now IP65 and not IP67 as per the website. I will probably persevere with what I've been sent as returning it is not worth the hassle. If this were a UK company it would go straight back as "not as advertised". I think this is just another Chinese company that is cleverly marketing something through popular YT channels and when their stock runs out, start to send out anything they can as a substitute.
Richy, The folks at Aoocci did send me a generic dash cam that has all the functionality of the C5 pro but unbranded and unlabelled , so I was not happy they sent me what they described as a cheaper model because the C5 pro had sold out. Estella from Aoocci was very apologetic and has come forth with a partial refund. I just think this situation should never ever happen when doing business.
Yes, the only difference is the packaging as they were transitioning to new. But caught in the middle of a huge demand (thanks TH-cam!) The C6 Pro doesn’t have the Aoocci logo on like the C5 does. I’ve just had 2 x C6 Pro’s turn up today, boxed exactly as I expected and exactly as you have described. Still the correct unit inside, so don’t worry 👍
@RichyVida I didn't think I'd have to continue this drama but I can tell you this. After fitting to my Ducati and thoroughly testing in the home garage on its very first ride the screen overheat and went blank and the LCD had a meltdown..... All functions continue to work Android Auto ,music, cameras, and intercom but no screen. It was close to 30*c but surely a motorcycle GPS unit is designed to handle a bit of sun. The unit C5Pro would only run for 6 seconds before screen blotted out.... See photos , and then tell me that Estella and AOOCCI didn't sell me a useless piece of crap. Sorry get on board and look at the photos.
Hi Richy, Does the tyre pressure monitor give you a warning if there is a drop in pressures? I had my first flat tyre on our recent trip to Snowdonia and it was only a slow puncture but it made the bike feel soooo strange. Would have loved a warning that the pressure was dropping... (Looking forward to all the Picos vids too)
Hi Rich just watching this again on the back of your latest vid, one question where are you getting the bike specific fitting kits for those that don’t have fitting points/bars? Thanks and just ordered the C5 PRO with your discount code…thank you for all the info and codes 👌🏻
I've bought one of these so thank you Richy for the link. However I'm confused what to do with the yellow 'ignition control wire' another YT channel wired his into the fuse box!! and the black wire is labelled 'ground' and again I don't know whether that is for the negative terminal or the earthing point on the frame. Anyone who fitted this without a Thunderbox or EZcan please advise
Black is to negative terminal on battery. I wired the Acc wire to a 12v socket under the seat. Needs to be something that’s powered on with the ignition. Find the correct polarity, and piggy-back that wire. So you don’t need to cut anything..
Looked at the website following your you tube short on it. Is it really that good for the price point? The chigee is 3 times the price for basically the same thing. Would you spend your own money on one Rich? Thank you👍
HI Rich I bought one for my Honda Blackbird and am having difficulty mounting it. Is the bar you fitted it to quite thick. I dont have a bar that is not greater than about 12 mill wide and the fixing doesn't seem to go down that small. Anyone got any ideas please. Many thanks
@@RichyVida Thanks for the reply. Yes i did but they don't go down to the 12 mm that most of the other units have. It would be nice if it came with a different mount and now having fitted it by bolstering up the 12 mm tube, the unit still wobbles a bit. Hopefully it wont snap off.
I use wireless Android auto in the car and it isn't bad on the battery because the screen is off and the processing is no worse than if you were sat at home with Facebook running in the background. It's a great option for the bike
As mentioned below; your phone is essentially being used, but not “active”. So yes it will use battery, but I don’t have a need to charge my phone on either my Africa Twin (built in CarPlay w/ WiFi dongle) or Vstrom (Aoocci unit).
This was something I've been looking for for ages but I've rushed into it and it is impossible to fit to the handlebars of my Yamaha MT-09 without covering my view of the Instrument panel. Would anyone know if there are compatible fittings to the Aoocci C5 Pro that would resolve my problem ?
Hi Richy, thinking of getting one for my 1050. Looks like the C5 pro sits well size wise next to the 1050 TFT, do you think the c6pro would be too big? Thanks Bill.
Hi Bill. The C5 Pro sits lovely on the bar of the 1050. C6 Pro also looks lovely. We’re filming a bit of that soon. I do t think the 6” version would look too big, and the C5 certainly doesn’t seem small. 👍
CarPlay is CarPlay. A navigation unit is just that. I have CarPlay (built in) on my Africa Twin, and also the Zumo XT. CarPlay on its own (Vstrom) will do just fine 👍
Hi Ricky, different subject but was looking for your advice. I flew to Birmingham yesterday from Northern Ireland to buy a 2020 ATAS with only 2900 miles on the clock. Rode it up the M6 and took Liverpool/Belfast boat. The wind noise and buffeting is horrendous. I am 6’4 and was used to the protection that my Pan European gave me. Do I need to buy wind deflectors or how best to overcome the noise. I couldn’t ride this to Morocco for example and I had hoped to copy your January tour later this year. I have watched all your posts and never heard you complain about wind noise. Thanks, Mark
Im 6'4 on an Africa twin too. I got an air dam and a tall puig screen and it helped a lot. I also just recently started using Ear Peace ear plugs are they're awesome for long rides
Nope. Never had any wings issues. I’m 5”10, tho. I have a Ermax Sport screen, but also the OEM deflectors. Must make a big difference. Never had a single thought about this.
@@RichyVida That is interesting, thank you for sharing this with me. If you look online there seem to be a lot of owners expressing the same concerns as me. I will try the adding the oem wind deflectors and possibly another screen. Cheers.
Rich I bought one from your link and installed it and everything connected easily, however I can’t work out how to link my Cardo Edge for voice commands, please can anyone help
Are you familiar with CarPlay? It just mirrors your phone. So whatever your phone does, this does. If you’re in a no service area, you’ll have no service. But, If you’ve calculated a route, for instance, and then you ride through a no service zone, it will be fine and continue navigating. It won’t be able to calculate anything with no service.
@@RichyVidait will work with no service with offline maps stored on your phone just fine…at least my Interphone ride sync does…and that is just the same kind of device…👍
Yeah you can use Google offline maps just fine ..just a bit restricted on area so you have to download load a few maps for a longer trip….and they last a year before downloading again👍

ok i get it you like it but how much to run it with all the APPs that you have as unlocking them is not free! and the monthly phone cost to run all of the APPs as well? compared to a simple GPS. lol
Worth pointing out. Android Auto wireless requirements: Your phone needs to run at least Android 11. Google and Samsung phones can run Android 10. Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus, and Note 8 handsets can do with Android 9.0. 5GHz Wi-Fi support. You’ll also need data access.

They also sent a link for the updated instructions here: aoocci.com/pages/c5-user-manual?_pos=4&_sid=c17e9df77&_ss=r
Clearly there are discrepancies with what you reviewed as advertised and what this is now.
But caught in the middle of a huge demand (thanks TH-cam!)
The C6 Pro doesn’t have the Aoocci logo on like the C5 does.
Which Nexx helmet is that? Any chance of getting a review, there is not much online abount Nexx helmets
Yes it’s coming. XWed3
Hi Richy. Looks like a brilliant bit of kit, is there a discount code for this product ?
Mentioned in the video, yes. Check video description 👍
(Looking forward to all the Picos vids too)
Although I can’t confirm, it would think so, yes. 👍 plus, you can see the pressure just by clicking on it..
Hi Rich just watching this again on the back of your latest vid, one question where are you getting the bike specific fitting kits for those that don’t have fitting points/bars?
Thanks and just ordered the C5 PRO with your discount code…thank you for all the info and codes 👌🏻
Great stuff!
The kit I used came with it. Not sure if they have different options for different set ups? There’s definitely ways to do it, though 👍
@@RichyVida Cheers💪
Hi Richy how did you mount the aooci device to your bike?
With the included mount..?
Looked at the website following your you tube short on it. Is it really that good for the price point? The chigee is 3 times the price for basically the same thing. Would you spend your own money on one Rich? Thank you👍
Seems spot on, yes.
HI Rich I bought one for my Honda Blackbird and am having difficulty mounting it. Is the bar you fitted it to quite thick. I dont have a bar that is not greater than about 12 mill wide and the fixing doesn't seem to go down that small. Anyone got any ideas please. Many thanks
Did you add the little clips that make it smaller?
@@RichyVida Thanks for the reply. Yes i did but they don't go down to the 12 mm that most of the other units have. It would be nice if it came with a different mount and now having fitted it by bolstering up the 12 mm tube, the unit still wobbles a bit. Hopefully it wont snap off.
With your phone in your pocket and navigating, will it rinse your phone’s battery the same way it would if you were using your phone on its own?
Did you check their website? There will be a work around
Is the screen motorcycle glove friendly ?
Yes
Hi Richy, thinking of getting one for my 1050. Looks like the C5 pro sits well size wise next to the 1050 TFT, do you think the c6pro would be too big?
Thanks Bill.
Hi Bill.
The C5 Pro sits lovely on the bar of the 1050. C6 Pro also looks lovely. We’re filming a bit of that soon. I do t think the 6” version would look too big, and the C5 certainly doesn’t seem small.
👍
Thanks 👍 great channel, keep up the good work 😊
How do I turn it off or am I being stupid😂
Turn your ignition off..
Great unit but would you swap it for your Zumo XT though?
not a chance
CarPlay is CarPlay. A navigation unit is just that. I have CarPlay (built in) on my Africa Twin, and also the Zumo XT. CarPlay on its own (Vstrom) will do just fine 👍
Does the device hang on long rides in summers ?
Not that I’ve noticed. Will be taking it to Spain in a couple weeks, so I will put it to the test there
Hi Ricky, different subject but was looking for your advice.
Typo, Richy
Nothing to do with the unit. As long as your phone is connected to your Edge, it will work 👍
@@RichyVida thanks so much 👍
Can you get this to fit BMWs nav mount?
I’m not sure. I would think not..
Will it function in areas with no cell service?
Are you familiar with CarPlay? It just mirrors your phone. So whatever your phone does, this does. If you’re in a no service area, you’ll have no service. But, If you’ve calculated a route, for instance, and then you ride through a no service zone, it will be fine and continue navigating. It won’t be able to calculate anything with no service.
@@RichyVidait will work with no service with offline maps stored on your phone just fine…at least my Interphone ride sync does…and that is just the same kind of device…👍
Would you recommend the C5 or the C6 Rich?
Depends what size you like, that’s all. Both great. Doing a video on the C6 Pro very soon
@@RichyVida was just thinking the map will be bigger on c6
Yeah, sure. 👍
Thank you Richy..had android auto on my bike for 2yrs...but decided to upgrade with cameras.....by the way...did you get to listen to my album.....👍
Not yet! But I will
Is the unit quick release or hard mounted?
Hard mounted
I dont have a phone contract , pay as you go. Would i be able to use Google maps offline and pair with this device ok ?
Can’t see why not? 🤷
Yeah you can use Google offline maps just fine ..just a bit restricted on area so you have to download load a few maps for a longer trip….and they last a year before downloading again👍
Ordered one last Wednesday haven't heard anything from them the status said waiting to be fulfilled 😮how long does delivery take roughly...im in Ireland btw so added waiting time i guess
Not sure on that. I do know that a load have already been delivered, though. Maybe give it a couple days and contact them..
@@RichyVida Cheers Richy appreciate the comment ....simply can't wait to try this unit out ...fantastic review and content as always 👊
Thanks Adrian!
ok i get it you like it but how much to run it with all the APPs that you have as unlocking them is not free! and the monthly phone cost to run all of the APPs as well? compared to a simple GPS. lol
Google maps is free, and you are just mirroring your phone. Way cheaper than a Garmin zumo.
Eh? Costs nothing!? You have apps on your phone so this just mirrors your phone…
Can you use it with android phones
Yes. It goes both IOS and Android
Will this connect with my Nokia 3310 Richy?
😵💫😆
Can you run Waze on Aoocci
Waze is on CarPlay so yes. Anything on CarPlay will show on this.
How long will this code last for?
🤷
Look good. I’ll buy one come yours and you can fit it ? 😂
What is the code please
In video description
Just ordered one with your code. How easy is it to fit to 1050 DE
Super easy. Remove some plastics to route the cables. Pos + neg to battery, and then the acc wire to the 12v socket under seat
Worth pointing out.
Android Auto wireless requirements:
Your phone needs to run at least Android 11.
Google and Samsung phones can run Android 10.
Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus, and Note 8 handsets can do with Android 9.0.
5GHz Wi-Fi support.
You’ll also need data access.
