Why did you put the chips into the sockets before soldering instead of after isn’t one of the points of the sockets to prevent the chips from overheating?
right there with you....mine makes a hummm very low, but no music...yet, I forgot 1 resistor on a switch, perhaps that is not completing the circuit. I must have it somewhere....
Is there any reason you didn't solder the lowest parts (resistors, diode, etc.) first? It might be because of my gigantic hands, but I always find that to be the most hassle free method.
