Watching games like this makes De La Salle’s win over Long Beach Poly in 2001 all the more impressive: Poly back then had the speed and size of a mini SEC team.
I remember watching both this game and the STL vs De La Salle game live on TV. Someone else has the De La Salle game on YT posted. Finally someone posted this one. LB Poly had size AND speed, whereas Kahuku just had size. LB Poly isn't nearly as good these days. I'm assuming it's because all the private schools in the area are taking their kids.

Mahalo Braddah for this video. Kahuku ended up dropping the following weeks game to Roosevelt. This was a huge rebuilding year for this team.
