I went to KIA to buy a 2018 Soul base model and found a one-year-old 2017 EX plus on the lot with 15 miles on it for just a little bit more but with more options. After less than a week I find this vehicle to be nimble, comfortable, economical, and the viewing area is broad enough to inspire confidence. The downside is lack of power, as I am used to driving a 420 hp 2014 Mustang GT.
I can relate to all you spoke about. Went to my local dealership for a vehicle , when I saw it at first , I turned up my nose until I saw inside. I was blown away, beautiful car. Can't wait to get mine.

Great Review, so true what he said about the other boxy cars fading away. Had a 2005 Scion XB for 8 years. Went to many of the scion shows,was fun while it lasted, but traded it in 2012 for a Venza. Now I want to get a soul for my spare.. Cant wait.!
I have a question, I’m trying to figure out why there is a pocket in the trunk on the right side and also why there is a charging/lighter port in the trunk as well? I’ve been trying to find the answer and can’t find a review on it.
I actually like the car, but wish it had an independent suspension set-up in the back and an AWD would be beneficial (though not necessary). It's a great city runabout. Cabin air filters aren't a new feature on anything though. My 2005 Camry LE has it.
The Cabin Air filter isn't new, but the "Clean Air" system with an air ionizer is a feature that isn't on every vehicle. Toyota has used a similar system in some of their vehicles.
So this is a 2017 vehicle. It would now be a used vehicle for us, so trims could vary. Off the top of my head I can't remember EVERY feature that was different on 2017 vehicles.
@@BrantfordKia I never said people dont like them, but calling it a review is misleading for sure. Like a movie trailer being a review for it. Where in the "review" does it mention all the negatives of the vehicle?
@@BrantfordKia yeah I suppose the incorrect term in title , instead of preview, showcase, overview...wouldnt get the clicks as much. I suppose ethics is not a strong suit of car dealerships anyway. I totally understand. More like a video sales pitch, but that also wouldnt get the clicks lol. Again you are right, I wouldnt expect it to be done ethically by fixing a misleading title, since that would change your real goal.

Awd negatively effects fuel economy, people seem to forget that .

Correct. The 2017 Kia Soul would not have that. Newer models with the right sized screen would.
Uuuuh, I have this car and I recently got an Android with Android 10. Android Auto DOES work on this car!
