Thanks for watching Shawn! I need to get some more 45Colt ammo and test it at some greater distance. Maybe even plop a pistol scope on it and see what kind of accuracy I can get. Videos to come...
@marcthomas2482 most shots I'll get around here are 75 yards and in. 45 colt I'd plenty plentiful here too. Was thinking to get somethin like the Winchester defender 45 colt. 255 grain hollowpoint trucking around 1800 FPS
This may sound ridiculous, but I don't think that's legal. With that combination, you are creating a short barreled rifle or short barreled shotgun. As a pistol, the Brawler can have a barrel shorter than 18 inches. When you attach that barrel to a full stock shotgun receiver, you are asking for legal trouble.
I'm not entirely sure. The pattern really spread with the shot I was using. I'm planning another range trip with a BIG piece of cardboard to get a better idea of how much it spreads.
Make My Day! I'm loving the Brawler. A nice sturdy micro red dot would be great on it. With the shotshell blast it would be great for Muzzleblast Monday. Good ejection on shotshells. 👍 🎯💥

@@marcthomas2482Nothing like filming behind a Brawler & suddenly get the smell of burnt flesh & realize you've got hot 410 brass where it shouldn't be. 😂🔥
Marc what powder did you load those double 390 round ball loads with? I think you could tailor the burn rate to that specific barrel. I’ve still been playing around with brass shell 16 gauge loads using buckshot and birdshot loads. Powder for my 16 gauge loads is 700x. I really enjoyed this video and will keep sharing it.
I used Lil' Gun. You are the second person in 24 hours to recommend Alliant 2400! I know what I'm picking up at Shyda's next trip. 😄 I do enjoy loading shotshells, probably 20 gauge more than .410, because I have the LEE loader. Thanks!
@@marcthomas2482 2400 will be better burn rate for that 9” brawler barrel. Lil gun better 410 powder for full size shotgun. Both will do pretty darn good in any 410 you use. I still want to reload for 20 gauge yet. Will probably get lee load all for 20 gauge.
The rifled barrel makes birdshot disperse like a sprinkler, having little effect after a few yards. What you want in that gun is #00 or #000 Buckshot, because the pellets stack single file in the hull, and are not negatively affected by the spin. At 21' I get baseball sized patterns with 4 pellets of #00. The Brawler is an absolute blast, and everyone who sees it wants to try it out. I reload my own .410 Buck, and bring a bunch with me for this reason.
That's just an upgrade of the older Matched Pair Pistol set they made years back without the extra .22lr barrel. I dig the upgrade to a picatinny rail and ejector. The old model just had an extractor.
I once owned a Super Commanche and shot Horaday self defense through it. About four shots is all I ever wanted. To much recoil. Now I am intetrested in the Brawler, but plan to shoot 2 1/2 inch OO buck. Should make it a lot easier.

The optic was intended more for judging the accuracy of the .45 Colt ammunition. I also thought it might better center the .410 shot, but that is all over the place. It's really all just for fun. Thanks for watching and commenting!
ok come on i keep hearing over and over how this thing patterns shot shells bad because of the rifling in the barrel. thats just not the case. the dang thing patterns bad because its only 9 inches including the chamber' do you actually think 6 inches of refilling designed for a .45 cal projectile is putting a spin on a 41 cal plastic sabot filled with lead shot. come on guys there's only 6 in. of refilling at a twist rate of 1 in 24 in. heck it doesn't do that good at spinning the tight fitting .45 projectile. but just to prove to me i was correct. I took some hs pics firing several different shot shells and even on the 3 inch which had a giant wad to follow there was zero i Siad zero evidences of spin .
Agreed. It doesn't pattern great and it's not super accurate even with 45 ammo. It's kind of a range toy/novelty, and it is fun to shoot. Not disappointed in my purchase and not trading it off any time soon. Thanks for watching.

Thanks, Mike! At least they let you have some freedom up there. I'm not sure about the pattern on this thing for hitting moving game. Spreads out pretty good. I want to get a really big piece of paper or cardboard to really test the spread at 10,20, and 30 yards.
@@marcthomas2482 I found cardboard mattress boxes behind furniture shops at times in the past!🙂
interesting blaster
Thanks!
I am liking that :)
Thanks, Nutty!
🤟🏽🤘🏼👍🏼🙏💥💥💥
Thanks, CW!
First! Cool stuff. I knew you couldn’t wait! Me neither! 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸
Thanks, Walter!
Looks like a fun one. The deranged CA gubment considers those to be short barrels shotguns therefore we can't get them here
Thanks, gunnwild1! I hope your state comes to its senses someday.
@marcthomas2482 Weapon of mass destruction, if they get anal on ya! Washington State ain't much better. How the hell do you get a 10 round M.1 carbine magazine?
Yours is ejecting . 👍 The ball and a small Holosun dot would be sweet.
Thanks UJ! The ejector is sending them into a low earth orbit! I think a small dot would work pretty well and I like the ball results so far, but I want to try some buckshot and some slugs in future testing.
They should have made it for 454 cusul, 45 Colt, 410gage just saying.
Agreed!
my comments about the rossi brawler 45colt/410single shot especially my testing, reloading data are for educational, learning purposes Only, to use my data could cause serious bodly injuries and, or death. I had to print the warning. I reloaded over 45years many, many calibers and firearms, wonderful knowledge and experience. I also shoot 45acp in my brawler with the use of metric nitrile o rings from harbor freight sizes 8x2mm and 8.8x1.9mm. shooting target reloaded 45acp 750 to 800fps. I slip over case head into groove to keep from falling down barrel. shutting action compress o ring tightly. ejection wonderful and o rings reusable .45colt test only data limited to one shot each. 250gr hunters supply lrn-hp 850fps, 420 ft/lb. 964 fps, 516 ft/lb. 1034fps , 591 ft/lb . 1097 fps, 667 ft/lb . 1132 fps, 771 ft/lb . NOTE- 1097fps, 591 ft/lb is right there with buffalo bore heavy 45 super 255gr hard cast swc dangerous game load. I would be testing reloading outher bullet brands ,powders, weights. to use this infotainment and reproduction of it is ti the reloaders hazard and jeopardy and I'm not responsible for you loading as you were warned. papa from the foothills of the blue ridge mountains in NC wishing yall well. 😊
Thanks! Great info! Hope you were clear of the storms and flooding!
@marcthomas2482 flooding pretty bad several places in the state . flooded my town of elkin nc but some other places some towns all but washed away. the worst I've seen in 50 years. many people homes
@marcthomas2482 the president has sent no relief aid, people homes destroyed, power out, no water, life sustainable things much need.people stranded with bridges and roads washed out. our town doing good.and we are in good shape. I haven't our joe biden puppet governor say anything about aid yet. papa wishing you well
Sand bagged on front porch rail winner 🍻
Thanks!
Wish it was a double barrel.
A modern day Howdah! Would have been cool. Thanks for watching and commenting!
👍👍🤠
Thanks, MCK!
I hope you collect spent 410 caliber shells? I can teach you how to load 410 rounds!!!
I do! I am reloading them as well, but in a very limited amount and capacity. I'm always open to learning, though!

@@horn410 Спасибо 🙂
@@marcthomas2482 th-cam.com/video/YpnerwhclBM/w-d-xo.html This gun is similar in design .
Wow really. An optic on a single shot 410 pistol that's basically useless beyond 25 yards. Glad you're having fun though 😊
The optic was intended more for judging the accuracy of the .45 Colt ammunition. I also thought it might better center the .410 shot, but that is all over the place. It's really all just for fun. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Sahweeeet!
Thanks!
No offense ment But maybe some practice would HELP
ok come on i keep hearing over and over how this thing patterns shot shells bad because of the rifling in the barrel. thats just not the case. the dang thing patterns bad because its only 9 inches including the chamber' do you actually think 6 inches of refilling designed for a .45 cal projectile is putting a spin on a 41 cal plastic sabot filled with lead shot. come on guys there's only 6 in. of refilling at a twist rate of 1 in 24 in. heck it doesn't do that good at spinning the tight fitting .45 projectile. but just to prove to me i was correct.
The 410 is useless with a rifled barrel
I hate to say, but you might be right. I really want to test some buckshot or even some good heavy #4. Birdshot will definitely be ineffective at any more than bad breath range. Still a good snake gun or would deter any unfriendly dog. Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for watching and commenting.
I don’t really see the point for a gun like that but I want one, it looks fun
Yes, yes, and yes! 😁 Thanks for watching and commenting!
