Bare in mind this is being recorded from the back of the stage, if the microphone is located there what your going to hear is different to what the audience hears. The monitor mix the band hears will probably have less of the vocal in. For that reason most larger gigs will have a 2nd mixing desk with a sound engineer mixing the audio specifically for the band.
