Just to make it a unique thing for the main hero and main villain I suppose. Though technically Azwel is only the villain of Libra of Soul and Kilik is the hero of the main story mode so.
Personally, I think they're too long. In SC5, I mained Raphael but it didn't change the fast pace of the game. The supers were really short but did what needed to be done. I also feel like certain characters looked better, such as Nightmare and especially Siegfried. That might be the voice since I hear him in SC6 and keep thinking of other characters the VA plays rather than the grizzly voice of 5. In SC6, I main Geralt and the supers are way longer in terms of a fighting game (Mitsurugi excluded) than I care to like. So much so, that me and my friends found ourselves pausing to skip them unless they were the final hit. I still prefer SC6 for gameplay because its so cool and varied, the soul attack and charge were a nice addition but 5 just hit me better. Despite having arguably the worst characters in the series

Well, I'm hoping that with enough support, we'll have a full franchise recovery. I see too many steps in the right direction to quit on them. The course is corrected. All we need to do now is support it.

Soulcalibur is one of those games where I love 90% of the roster. OMG this is the GEN of fighting games!!!!....... MK10, Injustice 1&2, DB Fighterz, Blazblue CF, Tekken 7, Soulcalibur 6, Smash Bros Ultimate, DoA 6 (to be seen), and of course Guilty Gear Revelator, the only bummers for me were SFV and MvC Infinite. PS I forgot KoF 14 is also awesome.
I can see why so many hardcore fighting game fans were disappointed with MvC:I, but I actually really like that game. My disappointment is over the fact that so many people dislike it and the fact that Capcom let it die. But it's fun and super smooth and call me crazy but I don't think it looks bad either outside of some of the character models.
For me was the bad graphics, bad story, also because a played a dozen of hours on MvC2 for the Dreamcast, but above all because I'm a super hardcore fan of Wolverine, Gambit, Cable and Rogue.

Astaroth's is underrated, IMO. He literally buries his axe in your chest and does that crazy ass flip slam WITH THE AXE STILL IN YOUR CHEST. Brutal as fuck. Solid 8.5/10.
This is too hard to rate but I love that you did Astaroth's super on Maxi. But Kilik's unblockable super just looks amazing and the damage, holy shit. Siegfried's CE isn't bad too, the camera angles on his blade fascinate me. Let's not forget the animation on Nightmare's CE, amazing.
Nah, Kilik's soul charge super is 10/10! Mitsurugi is also 8 for me, 'cause of th eamazing impact! Talim's is a 7 without the finisher. It looks better without the finisher to me. Azwel's first one an 7? Nah, it's a 9 or 10/10.
I don't care what anyone says, IN MY OPINION, Azwel's supers are the best. He's basically Algol combined with Gilgamesh the King of Heroes from the Fate series.

I know this video's about a year and a half old but I still gotta say it Tira has 2 CEs for her 2 personalities, which certain strings have a chance to switch between and which have a lot of moves unique to them. The first one (yellow) is for Jolly and forces her into Gloomy state and the purple, stronger one is her CE in Gloomy. She has a third state too called Gloomy Coda, which is active after she switches personalities 9 times in a match and gives her access to all of her Soul Charge attacks even when she isn't in Soul Charge. It'ss just generally a nightmare to face on the same level as a good Amy with Purple Rose active
Azwels plot is that the evil seed is incomplete due to it only having soul edge as the core. In the story he takes replica fragments of both to make the gauntlets. They are not strong enough to complete the ultimate seed he calls it so he gathers fragments from the true swords. He strengthens them to be equal to the normal swords. When he goes to soul charge he fully activates the gauntlets which converts his arms to his customised soul edge and soul calibur. His SC CE is him achieving his goal in causing the ultimate seed. He says he needed a sacrifice which is someone stronger than mortals (you the conduit in LOS) the enemy.
Good lord I wish we could turn off armour-breaks, I'd happily take the hit on fan-service to not have every 3rd round match devolve into fighting men in leather Y fronts. Everyone just looks better in full costume.
I get some super strong Nioh vibes from Yoshimitsu's super. That looks like how you absorb Amrita when you kill something and in Nioh Amrita is basically like spirit taken physical form.
Even based on the Witcher game, Geralts is kind of disappointing. It's a clever use of Axii but man is it just too slow. He only makes 3 slow/heavy strikes but he's probably more well known for his fast and flashy sword work.
On stream at the time he did this he didn't have inferno unlocked. He was considering doing the story mode real quick but then he realized it was just a copy and paste and said we weren't missing out on much

I wasn't that impressed by Nightmare or Siegfried's even though I was a fan of the character. For Nightmare, it's just a slash on a horse... Zasalamel's super on the other hand is badass.

I love this series. It's really neat seeing all of these supers that I both have and haven't seen through Max's eyes. My only gripe is that he does the whole "school" rating system where 50% is bad and 75% is about average, kinda ignoring the other half of the spectrum. But it's fine too because I can basically just take his ratings and use math to figure out how he'd rate it out of 10 really :P
You know that all you're getting when they add 8 more characters is that the game takes 1 year longer to come out right? Either we keep this roster or you wait until this time next year to get 8 more characters. I could never understand why people complain we are getting games earlier.

Really I think this benefits having a 1-5 rating instead of 1-10. Really makes it better to compare supers. So example Kilik's 7/10 would be a 2/5 and his 9/10 would be a 4/5 so you could see the difference more clearly. Also the fact that no supers had a 5 or lower

Dramatic the only way to make it more chuuni was for him to rip his eye patch off during his super, for a 'power up'.

Zasalamel's super is the best example of how to do a super move for a character. It made me want to play the game because of how badass it looked !!

When he goes to soul charge he fully activates the gauntlets which converts his arms to his customised soul edge and soul calibur.
His SC CE is him achieving his goal in causing the ultimate seed. He says he needed a sacrifice which is someone stronger than mortals (you the conduit in LOS) the enemy.
Good lord I wish we could turn off armour-breaks, I'd happily take the hit on fan-service to not have every 3rd round match devolve into fighting men in leather Y fronts. Everyone just looks better in full costume.

Why doesn't every character have a Soul Charge alternate super?
Jordan Arthur variety and it’d be boring because everyone would be using soul charge just for the ultimate
@@PR1ME98 adding more super alternates would increase variety! Plus it costs 2 full bars for less damage (with the exception of Azwell).

I get some super strong Nioh vibes from Yoshimitsu's super. That looks like how you absorb Amrita when you kill something and in Nioh Amrita is basically like spirit taken physical form.

Even based on the Witcher game, Geralts is kind of disappointing. It's a clever use of Axii but man is it just too slow. He only makes 3 slow/heavy strikes but he's probably more well known for his fast and flashy sword work.

On stream at the time he did this he didn't have inferno unlocked. He was considering doing the story mode real quick but then he realized it was just a copy and paste and said we weren't missing out on much

I will say theres a lot to like about these. Its why Simplicity and proper length and certain techniques and looks is what makes a super good. As soon as I saw that second Azwael one I was in awe
I wasn't that impressed by Nightmare or Siegfried's even though I was a fan of the character.
For Nightmare, it's just a slash on a horse...
Zasalamel's super on the other hand is badass.

No one noticed that Raphael's super is Saitou's finishing move from the Rurouni Kenshin anime. It raised the score for me personally.
If you ever played The Witcher 3, you would've probably given Geralt's 100 out of 10.
I love this series. It's really neat seeing all of these supers that I both have and haven't seen through Max's eyes. My only gripe is that he does the whole "school" rating system where 50% is bad and 75% is about average, kinda ignoring the other half of the spectrum.
But it's fine too because I can basically just take his ratings and use math to figure out how he'd rate it out of 10 really :P
I really hate the dlc era because every new fighting game has a roster Thats feel to short compared to past games
You know that all you're getting when they add 8 more characters is that the game takes 1 year longer to come out right? Either we keep this roster or you wait until this time next year to get 8 more characters. I could never understand why people complain we are getting games earlier.

Really I think this benefits having a 1-5 rating instead of 1-10. Really makes it better to compare supers.
So example Kilik's 7/10 would be a 2/5 and his 9/10 would be a 4/5 so you could see the difference more clearly.
Also the fact that no supers had a 5 or lower

4:20 and 4:51 My favorite part of this video I'm getting this game for Christmas 2020 because of Xianghua, Zasalamel, Ivy, Tira, Geralt of Rivia and Azwel actually fun fact when I was playing Soul Calibur 4 like 6 years ago I was playing as Tira, Xianghua and Amy but Amy and Xianghua were my favorite in that game and I can't wait to play as Xianghua in this game when I get for Christmas
