When the Cats hit the lead the next center bounce was very poor. Look at the screen all Cats midfield ran forward with no one sweeping in behind to defend or give easy handball option. All got caught in front of Atkins which meant no cover when Brisbane Daniher smothered. Same happened next Center bounce but a little more understandable given at that point they had to chase the win.
Holmes tended to be the one that was blocking the corridor because of his speed and aerial ability. Him being off really unsettled the Cats structure but also ability to rebound. Holmes is also a very long kick so the Geelong forwards all run back to goal as soon as the Cats win possession but they were running too far as only Dangerfield would have been able to kick it over the top to them. One forward should be running to the kicker to give them an easy kick and then a deep entry where they can set their defense behind. That created poor kicks that Brisbane would rebound, without the Cats defensive structure been able to reset & also made the ground huge for the Cats to defend.
