I hv personally met with R.D.Burman saab at his house for some music sitting..he was a godly figure..I dnt believe that R.D.burman can do like this..I remember one day I had an appointment with R.D.Burman sahab but somehow he was busy and personally R.D.Burman sahab rang me to say sorry and gave me another date..so humble he was..so saying get out is next to impossible to believe..

In 1964 for DOSTI, Laxmikant got just Rs 10000 for the film from Tarachand Bhartiya. But Laxmikant borrowed Rs 40000 and bought the best MD award for Dosti against the confirmed award going to SJ for the stupendous music of SANGAM. This was told by Pyarelal in an interview.

Later, Shankar ji did not have a single nomination in 1973. But just to avenge the Dosti FF award for best MD kissa of 1964, Shankar ji pulled every FF magazine through his contacts and got SDB, that best MD award for 1973 Abhimaan (snatching it from LP for Bobby).

It is on record... Rishi Kapoor told that for BOBBY he paid Rs 30000 to FF and took it away from Amitabh for Zanjeer. Rishi himself confirmed that in an interview.

Remember 1972....FF award for BEIMAAN. It was to go to Naushad and Ghulam Mohd for Pakeezah. My love my Guru Shankar ji snatched it through manipulation. Then Pran refused to take the award for best supportive actor award.

In 1986-1987 FF were actually stopped for politics in film industry related to manipulation of awards..

It got reinstated but again in 1990 there were huge controversy outside their office when 30 lakh people signed letters were dumped by some fans of Amitabh and threatened that the best award acting should go to Amitabh for HUM.

It was Amitabh with his good value informed FF to give that award for Ghayal hero Sunny.

Remember ARR got award for Rangeela in 1995, while the highest sales of cassette was DDLJ. Time magnetic owner Mr Shah paid ARR Rs 1 crore for that movie. He also did all manipulation and fetched that FF best MD award to ARR.

Friends there appears to be some confusion: This incident happened after film Anand Aur Anand and during the recording of other film songs . It is not that once the recording is done , the film gets released the next day . I have not said that it happened during Anand aur Anand . It must have happened during the recording of other song for the other film but during that period only .
In legal language, what you are telling us, is called " Hearsay" and not accepted or valid. You can even say RDB loved him, cherished him and, had 100 dinners with him, used to meet him daily, sing with him, take him to his home, etc. It would be still " Hearsay".

But Abhijeet is still and will be a die hard fan of R.D.Burman. R.D.Burman was a very good human being ( I met him personally a few times) but then it is a fact that his tunes were given to other composers from his group ( only one - I am not taking the name ) and somebody obviously with wrong intentions convinced R.D.Burman that Abhijeet has done the folly. But R.D.Burman did use Abhijeet's voice in some non film songs and Bengali films. So it is not right that he never used Abhijeet's talent after Anand aur Anand.

Don't try to make such type of story that is absolutely impossible, I Myself met GREAT Music God RDB, near about 10 years between 1984 to 1993 End, I Visited His Recording Film Centre to lesson Song also Visited His House New Meriland, Between 10 years time I had overser , he was a great man, his behaviour one unknown Kolkata Boy Like Me Also Great Remarkable, He was a very good and optimistic person. Also ABHIJT DA also very good and reliable man, and I think he was never done, such type of behaviour like his Guru Great RDB, Abhijit Da Still today also Regards to the great RDB.

Rd Burman's song .."Waadon ki shaam ayi" was sung by Avijeet in Sunil Anand's voice.....may be it supposed to sung by Amit Kumar....but as per your info....Belonging a big heart and big parampara...RDB kept his word by giving the song to Abhijeet...but as per your picture... Abhijeet put his hand on RDB's shoulder on an ocassion....how Abhijeet did this, isn't it looking odcious??

Nah, first of all, he was never a carbon copy and secondly, he came back with a bang in the 90’s. On the contrary, Rafi clones like Sabbir, Anwar, Vipin Sachdeva, Debashish Dasgupta - all faded into oblivion.
Struggling in the intial days of ones career is a most common thing for almost all artists & for for that matter all successful persons. Even Panchamda was with out a break in his initial days & was unfairly neglected in his last years. It is not a graet idea to highlight such incidents of one person depicting as a victim & projecting the other as a unfair person. Each & every one has seen ups & downs in their career. I stringly feel people should desist from highlighting such issues. It was Pancham da who gave a break to Abhijeet in ANAND AUR ANAND.

I remember those two songs from that film. First was a solo Main awara hi sahi and another was a duet with lataji Nasha hai oh mujhe bhi. I must say both were nice songs specially the duet.

During 1980s or 1990s there were not much set up in social media and aspiring singers have to risk their meagre savings of parents or his own to become popular with some music troupe or some heavy weight recommendation or to be a sibbling of already estabilished film personalities. Such is the pathetic situation of job seekers abd biginners in 1960 to 2000 era that survival was the only question of both middle and poor class people. Even as a person hailing from poor family in a village, I was insulted for my amateur performance in my first job and that time I felt exalted to get more insults than appreciation so much so that I grow to be a manager in biggy public sector bank with good comfortable salary for whole life. As a closest follower of talents of Bengali singers since my childhood, Abhijeet Bhattacharya was talented far ahead of Sanu kumar, Mohd Aziz, Udit Narayan(with his unfamiliar and unfit top pitch voice and bollywood made adjustments to fit his voice) i.e. 1980 1990 2000 singers. Only Amit Kumar da, Pankaj Udhas or Manhar Udhas and Bappi da were the few talented better or equal to Abhijeet da sir.
Hence the heading should be as struggle of Abhijit da as beginner in bollywood. The Nepotist bollywood has not given proper recognition to Abhijeet da for his talents. thanks

This is new to me...! I USE to an admirer of his songs, not anymore after knowing his political affiliations & the weird comments he made on women... even now I clicked this link only because of RD's image in the thumbnail... Anyways I had traveled 200kms leaving all my work just to watch his live show, he mentioned about family, his studies and him being a CA etc... but didn't mention this...

I mean unfortunate for Abhijeet, Kumar Sanu came in the lime light with a bang and took over the whole industry then after good few year Udit Narayan came to the top and led for good few years. Abhijeet never accept the fact that these 2 were better than him with better voice quality too.
Abhijeet, kamar Sanu and Babul Syprio were replicates of Kishore Kumar, I always felt Abhijeet was better than Sanu, I felt Kumar Sanu was over rated and a nasal singer.
Abhijeet has a softer tone and I felt better than Kamar Sanu.
