I went off of my beauty and wellness feed whilst caring for my father and am getting back on track this year. Gods know, protecting my peace is a huge priority and getting in that self-preservation headspace is helping me feel better overall. Also resumed a bit of Botox in the 11's and forehead, and it does a lot for my mental health to like what I see in the mirror.
Oh my goodness, how true is this??? SAME SAME SAME. I hit a bit of stress and I throw myself under the bus by ditching any wellness routines. It's self sabotage when I do it.
Ok... so I will confess that I am an RN who works in Plastic Surgery and is an advanced certified injector! There. Now you know all about me! I'm also an Artist and it really helps me when I'm injecting my patients. Anyhow, I've always supported those who have wanted to do something for themselves to boost their confidence whether it's surgical or not, but I myself love educating patients on all of the exciting non-surgical interventions you can do in the interim. And YES! I have woken up some days and have said when I look in the mirror, 'what the heck?!!!!' That's because we refuse to see ourselves for what we look like today. In my mind, I'm still 21 😂 That being said, I truly appreciate your video Rebecca because you are starting to implement changes for your well-being. Ironically, my 21-year-old son does all of these things that you show here!! The LED mask, the NuFace gadget.... the bougie medical grade skin care.....🤦🏼♀️🙄 I don't know where he gets it from 🤣 Anyhow, I can tell you that I'm always aware and appreciative of all of the non-surgical interventions out there that we can do to help ourselves. In addition, I try to drink at least 2 L of water a day. Experts say you should drink at least half your body weight in ounces. I also try to eat as clean as possible, although I do allow myself to cheat every now and then with takeout or going out to dinner, etc. Anyhow, I think it's great that you're taking charge and you look amazing. Please update us to how you are feeling in the coming months as well. 😊
Love this video. As a doctor who does skin and menopause most women i see have put themselves last and then wake up one day with "how did I get here?!" Such a common state of mind. Self care is about small gestures of kindness we show to ourselves daily. It is indeed a journey and looking after ourselves is such a vital thing for women especially. Great work Thank you Rebecca for sharing ❤
Thank you for this video!!! It is a gentle reminder that we have to take care of ourselves! I’m glad you like your treadmill! I have seen a lot of videos about this brand but it’s mostly been about the bike. We have the other brand for our spin bike and I love it! It’s easy to get in a workout plus they have a wonderful app that can be used for any workout in any machine, which is a nice feature. I have a regular treadmill and use my peloton app for that, such a great motivator! I have a led mask and i’m trying to use it more. Once again, thanks for the motivation.
SAME, Tracie, SAME! I have the Peleton bike already which is why I opted for the treadmill here and, yes, I use the app programs on this treadmill. So much higher heart rate than even the P app on an outdoor walk.
I’ve been feeling the same for months now and saw myself in some recent birthday photos and couldn’t believe it. How did I get here! I get how you feel. I used your link to order the current body face mask. Just turned 60 😉. I wish you the best in your journey and thank you for including us.
Good for you! You've inspired me! I've been trying to get back into a routine and had lost all motivation when my dad passed away in October (he was on hospice care for 2 mos and i stopped caring for myself to help my mom with him). It's been a struggle to execute a routine for myself and get back into being healthy, but watching videos like yours have slowly started to get me back into a healthy mindset. Thank you!
I’m just catching up but so happy to hear that the Strivectin lip duo is working for you! I swear by soooo many Strivectin products. But! Tip: never pay full price for Strivectin. I get the majority of mine from Costco for at least half of retail, especially when they have a discount on top. That’s how I originally discovered the lip product (although they haven’t carried it for a long time and I’ve had to shop elsewhere for it). I’ll send you a DM next time I see it on sale!
Great job Rebecca! Red-light has been used on athletes for decades for injury and inflammation. It has some great studies and I have the Maysama pulsing light panel. I totally noticed a difference after a few weeks. I'll be 57 in 5 days and started a good skincare routine in my 30's. It never gets old.. haha.. when ppl say I don't look my age. I grew up on the beach in the sun but it's never too late to start!!! Sunscreen now everyday for about 8 years. Doesn't matter I live in Rhode Island and we have winter. Rays still break down collagen even when cloudy. Thanks for sharing Rebecca ❤
Good for you! Current body is my fave. I had an issue with an accessory to my OG mask which is 5 years old and they took care of me getting the right replacement.
Thanks for sharing, Rebecca! I had started using a serum from Clinique on my neck a million years ago that really worked for me and of course they discontinued it. I've been searching for a replacement, but that neck and deck product you recommend has me curious. I've also vowed this year to get back to focusing on exercise. I've started and that's something.
You do look smoother and healthier! Is the Strivectin a different formula from the eye or face version? Or, is the delivery pen the difference? I have used Strivectin products for a year or so. I never thought to use it specifically around my lips. I am interested in the red light mask but can’t spend the money with prescription prices. It is probably a lost cause at 70 with Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos. Thanks for all you do. You are such a delight! I always laugh out loud with something you have said! ❤
YOU are a delight. Thank you so much. Oooo, I am not sure if the Strivectin is the same product...I know this one applies with a brush and it really DOES seem to work. Recommended for me by the community right here!
We all need things to make ourselves the best version of ourselves possible.. why not? When we look better we feel better and when we feel better we can do more to help others as well as ourselves .❤
Oh yey, I've started my healthy regime in October and I'm working towards the better me as well ;-) A looooong way to go LOL Best of luck to you, Rebecca!!! I think making some of these changes really make us feel better. Let's just hope we stay motivated 🤞
This is an important video type to share. We all have points of reminders about doing a little more and being more aware of our health. I never understand the discouragement offered back.
Thank you so much for mentioning that red light helps with crepe skin! I would love to get rid of some! Also good on you eating healthier! I am doing the same and boy, lowering my sugar intake is really hard but I gotta keep going 😢 You looked lovely 🌸
Hi Rebecca- I teach fitness pt ( over 35 years) @ a premium facility. I see alot. Good for you for sharing. The best thing you can do is find something you love to do and be consistent. (3-4 day is great). I had emergency heart surgery w years ago and what an eye opener! Walking became my best friend on regaining my fitness/strength! Im.interested in the Halo but a little scared😂 I've never tried Strivectin? Ty🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
The Halo is so easy, not painful, nothing to learn or research (I have no time for that). THANK YOU for sharing your knowledge on walking. Yes, that really does seem to be where it's at.
Hi lovely Rebecca !! Always great to multitask. I’m getting older /mature 🤣Health fitness and healthy eating has become part of my everyday routine (bar Sunday )😊. It’s not easy to start with I did about 3 hourly swims a week then built it up to 6 swims a week . Ive been doing it now for a very long time . I cycle and walk too 😊 and then a yoga class to finish my week . I feel it also really helps me with my grief and loss . Thank you for sharing your journey ❤🤗
I love this wellness journey! I’m on one too. I have a refurbished elliptical machine that was from a YMCA when they updated their machines. In the past few years I’ve used it more to hang drying hand washables than for my fitness. I have changed that for the past few months. I also stretch everyday and I’m working on my posture. I DEFINITELY want that lip line product. I don’t smoke or use straws either, but time marches on and lip lines eventually happen! I REALLY want get the new red light mask. I use the previous model of the current body. I do my face then do 10 minutes on my chest. I just put the regular mask over my neck and chest. 😂 it would be nice to have that neck and chest one to do at the same time as my face. I also do my hands with my mask 2-3 times a week when I’m watching tv. I know they have red light gloves too. I’d love to get that and then do everything in one 10 minute period. (What I REALLY want if money were no object is the red light bed like Deborah Vance (Jean Smart)has in Hacks. Just get the entire body done in one go!! Sadly, I do not have an extra $20,000 lying around.
Me and my partner Kenny are kind of having a completion I'm not doing gym but doing walking and other exercises and he is doing gym ,and trying to watch wot we eat more xxx good luck 2 uxxxxx
Hi Rebecca, well done. Its not easy to stick to a healthy lifestyle when we are very busy in our jobs, caring for family, running a home etc. I certainly struggle. I need to try and eat more healthily. We have a walking pad which i haven’t really used 😂 but i need to get on it!
It's SO hard to get into the routine. Even now, I get a bit stressed because I want to get up early to make sure I exercise so it's like one more thing. Sigh! heh.
I have hip problems that has me not moving enough. Thanks for the inspiration for doing my PT exercises. I’m in my early 60s and finally did a tiny bit of lip filler just to bring them back to pre-menopause. Lipstick doesn’t run all over my face! The trick is finding a practitioner who thinks less is more. I’ve been doing Botox for my migraines for over a decade and it works. It I also don’t walk around looking worried and down when I’m not. There is nothing wrong with getting injected if it’s subtle…or more if that’s someone’s thing. I just find not constantly looking haggard is also a mental boost.
@ It hurt and then my lips were a little swollen and a tiny bit bruised. That lasted a few days but not more. The amount I got was very small, literally enough to bring back what I had which is typical white lady lips. My lip products are suddenly staying put and that alone is worth doing this every few months. Arnica gel helps but I also got Arnique Lip Recovery Balm from Amazon and that really helped. Overnight the swelling and bruises were gone.
Well damn I wish a company would send me some free gym equipment lol. Girl 6mph is a run 3.5 is a power walk lol U do look really great and you skin looks great. I really want the Ziip but I didn't budget for it didn't even think about saving some of my beauty budget for their BF sale but I am definitely going to get it sometime this year . I spent a ton on vet bills or I would have already bought it. I am also very interested in the red light mask and Maysama panel . I don't own any devices except a stupid foreo line device that mini one that is way over priced and does nothing at all , I think that is why I never purchased any devices after that stupid thing it was almost 200$ at the time I bought it and does nothing so then I got skeptical about all devices even though I'm a skincare and beauty junkie. I am very into health and fitness I lift weights and cardio, I have always been active but I started going to the gym 6 days a week starting a year ago and I haven't stopped I also started eating better and taking more supplements. Good luck on your journey and just remember it's a lifestyle change that's how it works when you look at it that way . For people that aren't used to being active going to the gym and eating healthy it's a routine and it takes your body like 3 months to adjust to get into the routine then it becomes like habit and gets easier.
