    I keep suggesting they make a scavenger hunt map. Brian is the absolute BEST.....i feel very grateful to call him a cloade friend.

    i've never understood how someone can look at a block of wood (or ice) and see some magical thing in their head and then have the ability to use a chainsaw to bring it to life... I'm definitely an artistic person and have very little talent even with finger painting but these people are amazing... really cool place to see... God bless you guys... Kevin

    Those carvings are incredible. So hard to believe the detail. Would love to see the competition there with the chainsaw carvings. Would really like to see the whole town there. Thanks for sharing this wonderful place.

      Yeah we can't believe how many carvings there are! We're looking forward to the next competition, too. We've been told that some artists stick around for a couple days afterwards to do custom pieces for people sometimes, too.

    You call Hope the carving capital of Canada - that tells me that you have never been to the competition in Chetwynd - take a look!!

      We have not had the pleasure of attending the Chetwynd carving championship yet, but we've seen some photos of the beautiful carvings there.

      @@HomeARoam You should refrain from calling Hope the Chainsaw carving capitol until you take in their show. - It is ranked as one of the top 2 or 3 in the world, by the carvers themselves.
