Also used the more experienced players as part of the turtorial. Detailed their mechanical behavior for Jodi and Rae to pick up on. Also, Michael and Sykkuno are fair new regardless so it probably all helps. Many people are impressed with Arcadum for his vast world building and the interconnective play between all his campaigns. I'm impressed by that too, but I'm more impressed by how well he handles new players and just makes the session. I think this group is gonna love him. He got a few rules wrong. Unless he's homebrewing, a nimble monk like Bryan should've been told she could use acrobatics to avoid a grapple instead of athletics, but that's super nitpicky. Getting rules wrong should almost be seen as part of the game. Happens more or less every session to everyone.

Holy shit thats actually an amazing idea. It's super hard (in my sisters case) to get her to invest herself in such things, so something like this that would capture her interest and imagination so fully (potentially) is genius.
You guys are being really nice ( I think? My own social skills aren't perfect)! My best friend taught me dnd and he has autism. I'm hoping to go back to school in the spring for my masters degree and I think this is what I want to do my thesis on. So far I'm using it with one nine year old client. I hope I can expand the idea to use with other people who have social skills deficit but are highly verbal.

I stayed up until 3am to catch this live on sunday, was totally worth it :D I love the group synergy and arcadum is doing a fantastic job can't wait for the next episode!
Missed the first 30 minutes, so couldn't just watch from there. Waited for the stream to end and watched it from there. Did the same last week. Also its just inconvenient to watch a stream with a storyline because you can't leave it which you are very likely to do. Also twitch's navigation buttons suck, but I can't wait for the VoD channel to render and upload it. Also from UK so it's late at night when it starts too which is understandable. At first, I wasn't sure about arcadum, seemed to have a bit more role play in his characters that the group didn't seem to synergise with, but it got better. I'm liking this so far though, valkyrae has gotten into it already, jade doesn't seem quite there yet.

I just started DM'ing three weeks ago, so far so good, improving, it's a lot of work, not only with the world-lore, the maps, but the characters, voices, and obviously making everything entertaining. With that said, this is genius, it's impressive how Arcadum does his voices, keeps everything in track and most importantly make it FUN. Great, fucking, work.

I'd never really seen her before session 0, but Quarterjade is very impressive tbh, just in terms of how seriously she's taking it as a newcomer. The best a DM could hope for from a new player. Given she went and read the entire Velum World Anvil page in preparation, and the thought she's put into her character (though she hasn't had much opportunity to show it yet), I think she's showing a huge amount of promise. Also, Rae asking if she's allowed to take notes, that always lights you up a little inside as a DM. :P

He's spent I believe thirteen years to get where he is now with running multiple projects which includes a Living World that is shaped entirely by the actions of somewhere around two hundred players possibly more than that in a D&D based MMO he runs in his discord.

He embezzled a good chunk of change over the years and some proprietary information that could damage the reputation of said wealthy family and it's other investments (if he knew what to do with it). they used their connections to send him to the Iron. --- he's probably actually an orphan ... •Bryan's "true love" is a potential "Demon Lord", but they're too laid back to care about the feelings, opinions, or well being of other people -- they didn't notice the insult, or the retaliation, or the absence of Bryan when she was captured and sent to the Iron. Bryan didn't put up much of a fight when they arrested her. •Remag's counterfeit activities have turned the tides of wars and destroyed budding empires as well as given him access to more seats of Power than he can remember ... meanwhile his Children and Grandchildren ... ... ... own a restaurant franchise, among other investments 🤔 •Li'lu was gambling ... she was caught cheating ... heads popped off. She was too Drunk, Angry, and Pissed-off to keep up the fight after she was subdued ... but still too strong to kill, so they sent her to the Iron. -- Li'lu probably isn't her True name •E'ar Stole The Cheese. From the 'Rat King's' Personal Collection ... but, she was betrayed by her partner and honestly considers herself innocent/set-up.
LOVE THIS! i love P'mis, li'lu and remag coz they're so in their character... Ear looks like valkyrae in person which is good for first time DND coz u don't want to play a character that's so different from yourself Jodi as bryan is starting to have a unique personality with the help of toast Remag is basically old michael XD i love how he does his voice as an old guy and still have 'michael' personality inside, Li'lu is a blast ! Lily kinda leading the group early on especially in conversation and all, and i love how she made her character angry all the time and barbaric Hashbrown is not my favorite character sadly :( while i love when sykkuno plays with his friends, his character is just sykkuno that tries to be someone else and it's a pain to watch, i know he wanted to be unique and all but i think his character should be more realistic dnd-wise P'MIS IS THE BEST ! HANDS DOWN, I can tell that toast really like to play DND and his character really shows it, i also love how he doesn't try to be the 'star' all the time and even helped his friends to be in the spotlight (like him letting bryan sucks on his blood, etc)

I think his story should be as someone who's wrongfully accused too just like rae coz it fits his personality best.. like he co-own a restaurant but his partner messes up and he got all the blame so he's in jail now, so now he's trying to clear his name or something
From watching more of Arcadum’s content it’s fairly clear he’s willing to work with any and all characters. One of pokelawls’s characters was a huge meme and is now an integral part of the world. Hash brown also isn’t my favorite, but we should keep in mind it’s only the first session. Toast metagaming inside the dungeon was way more annoying for me, but I don’t blame him cause he’s also newer to the game
It's been over a year since I was introduced to Arcadum through this campaign and even thought I've spent a ridiculous amount of my free time going through his backlog, I still have a lot of campaigns and the entirety of the labyrinth of Tyre campaigns and Violet Endgame to go through... Incredible. Fun side note, I also now run a dnd game for some friends that's currently on its 15th session! Thanks for introducing me to this neverending content Lily!

Missed the first 30 minutes, so couldn't just watch from there. Waited for the stream to end and watched it from there. Did the same last week. Also its just inconvenient to watch a stream with a storyline because you can't leave it which you are very likely to do. Also twitch's navigation buttons suck, but I can't wait for the VoD channel to render and upload it. Also from UK so it's late at night when it starts too which is understandable. At first, I wasn't sure about arcadum, seemed to have a bit more role play in his characters that the group didn't seem to synergise with, but it got better. I'm liking this so far though, valkyrae has gotten into it already, jade doesn't seem quite there yet.

I just started DM'ing three weeks ago, so far so good, improving, it's a lot of work, not only with the world-lore, the maps, but the characters, voices, and obviously making everything entertaining. With that said, this is genius, it's impressive how Arcadum does his voices, keeps everything in track and most importantly make it FUN. Great, fucking, work.

I'd never really seen her before session 0, but Quarterjade is very impressive tbh, just in terms of how seriously she's taking it as a newcomer. The best a DM could hope for from a new player. Given she went and read the entire Velum World Anvil page in preparation, and the thought she's put into her character (though she hasn't had much opportunity to show it yet), I think she's showing a huge amount of promise. Also, Rae asking if she's allowed to take notes, that always lights you up a little inside as a DM. :P

•P'mis Sold-Out his original band of Marauders, and was betrayed by his new 'friends' who turned him in for a ransom.
•Hashbrown was nickel and diming a franchised restaurant he managed that's owned by a wealthy family. He embezzled a good chunk of change over the years and some proprietary information that could damage the reputation of said wealthy family and it's other investments (if he knew what to do with it).
they used their connections to send him to the Iron.

•Bryan's "true love" is a potential "Demon Lord", but they're too laid back to care about the feelings, opinions, or well being of other people -- they didn't notice the insult, or the retaliation, or the absence of Bryan when she was captured and sent to the Iron.

Hashbrown is not my favorite character sadly :( while i love when sykkuno plays with his friends, his character is just sykkuno that tries to be someone else and it's a pain to watch, i know he wanted to be unique and all but i think his character should be more realistic dnd-wise
P'MIS IS THE BEST ! HANDS DOWN, I can tell that toast really like to play DND and his character really shows it, i also love how he doesn't try to be the 'star' all the time and even helped his friends to be in the spotlight (like him letting bryan sucks on his blood, etc)

Yeah I love Sykkuno but I'm not sure how much he can develop his character here

I think his story should be as someone who's wrongfully accused too just like rae coz it fits his personality best.. like he co-own a restaurant but his partner messes up and he got all the blame so he's in jail now, so now he's trying to clear his name or something
Hashbrown at this point is just Potato from the previous campaign but cooked. But I do think Sykkuno will try to change it up as the campaign goes on.
From watching more of Arcadum’s content it’s fairly clear he’s willing to work with any and all characters. One of pokelawls’s characters was a huge meme and is now an integral part of the world. Hash brown also isn’t my favorite, but we should keep in mind it’s only the first session. Toast metagaming inside the dungeon was way more annoying for me, but I don’t blame him cause he’s also newer to the game

It's been over a year since I was introduced to Arcadum through this campaign and even thought I've spent a ridiculous amount of my free time going through his backlog, I still have a lot of campaigns and the entirety of the labyrinth of Tyre campaigns and Violet Endgame to go through... Incredible.
Fun side note, I also now run a dnd game for some friends that's currently on its 15th session! Thanks for introducing me to this neverending content Lily!

I miss these days so much. I used to watch these campaigns any time I could in school and when I got home. I followed all of Arcadum’s campaigns from start to finish then all of the allegations came out and it all burned down. I wish he wouldn’t have done what he did so we could continue to see campaigns like this.
