I don't have it... but I think you need it to be able to get a star rating in order to get a lot of perks like the brewster dude and the boat dude to take you to islands to get moss and vines and such (2.0 update?) . If I pay for a year and collect fruit and stuff from other islands, will it stay on my island after I stop paying?
