Did some testing in steel, too. Try adaptiv, it works for me.
Yeah adaptive works great and i routinely use it. However i have recently chnaged to a BT30 spindle and thats made the world of difference!
@@vhospher6463 What spindle do you use? I'm thinking about an upgrade, because my router is rigid as hell, but the spindle is the weak point.
@@RUNCNC i use a bt30 12000 RPM ATC spindle cartridge. Got it off Aliexpress. You'll have to spec a motor, i use a 1.8kw servo to drive mine. This and mist coolant has really changed my machine. Did actually film the unboxing etc but never go around to uploading it. Same with the spindle assembly build.
Spindle cartridge was fairly pricey. And my spindle assembly alone is probably over 50kg
What if you got a better spindle? Or made 1 and used that motor to drive it? Or replacing the cheap bearings with high quality bearings? Loke angular contact bearings? All that chatter is from a not so rigid spindle it looks like
Ya if your machine is not jumping around it is plenty rigid...so maybe a video about improving your spindle? Beautiful machine otherwise!
Thanks for the reply. So I've been working on a new spindle system. Bt30 cartridge with ATC and servo driven. Hopefully will have a video on it out in the next couple of weeks! Hoping your right about the rigidity!

Unfortunately not. I may start making a few videos on various upgrade planned in a next few months or so
