Had my Griff for 13 years. We hunted everywhere from Maine to Kansas for 11 of those years. Goofy in the house and strictly business in the field. RIP Magoo. You were the best.
I pick my Griffon up on the 1st. February 2024. I've had GSP's for 15 or so years then GWP's for at least 10 years and now the Korthals Griffon. (although I desperately miss my 'Farley' who I lost on the 19th Dec and he was so, so special) Seeing this video, I can't wait. Truly looking forward to him doing everything that Bishop does with, what will be, my best mate 'Ted' when I pick him up. Keep up with the reports/video's; love them.
Loved your Vid. We live in N.Wales & our Griffon has been with us foe 6 years. They are stunning dogs ....... stubborn ... arrogant... very self contained .... very intelligent & sensitive . Go forward & support & enjoy him. He has found a very good home.
Just lost my Indy boy to lymphoma last month and it has been so very painful. He was 12.5 y/o. He was better than any hunting buddy/goofball/family dog I could have asked for. Thanks for the video. They grow so fast and are gone sooner than you want.
My husband and I are getting a Griffon at the end of summer. Our first! We've had Labs, Flat coats, Chesapeaks, Springer Spaniels, and now a beautiful Griffon.
I had never heard of this breed until I met my boyfriend who owned his first one. I fell in love so quickly. One of the friendliest, derpy, and fun dogs.
this is by far my favorite breed ever. they are such amazing family and hunting dogs!! i have recommend. i got mine from idahos hunting extreme, and now hes 4!! if anyones planning to get a dog, get this dog.

What a good looking dog, he looks like so much fun. I sure miss mine who passed two months ago after 13 years. I’d love to have another one but at 64 don’t know if I can keep up with another 13 year commitment
Thank you! I’m sorry to hear about your dog, we had another dog pass away earlier this year that was 13 as well. Keep me posted if you end up getting another.
Oh yes you can he/she will make you. Mine is 3 now (i am 68 and did have a 3time broke pelvis in sept - but she made me healthy and walk again without reha). And she did slow down without training, could feel i can not jump up and down the hills and through the forrest like b4. Now she is like glue on my side, b4 she went up and down on her own, came around to check if i am still somewhere. At the moment she max runs for 50/100 meters and turns around without a whistle, but wants to be hugged all the time and as i said - like glue❤
I lost my Griff of 13 years a year and a half ago. Picking up another pup in July. I'm 64 and still walk 2-3 miles every day in the same fields I walked with my dog. Got tired of walking alone and hunting without a dog.
Your Bishop is a beauty! We've two WPG's...one 12 and one about to be 2....The old guy has been good for the young boy. Our young one, Tater, has a very "fluffy" griffon coat...looks like Bishop does too...how is the grooming going? Thanks for sharing the video..they grow up too fast, nothing like a wpg puppy.
He started out pretty fluffy, but his coat has changed a bit after he passed a year old (he just turned 2!) he really enjoys getting stripped, so grooming hasn’t been too big of a challenge :)
At the end of the month I am going to get my puppy, it is my first dog and super excited about it. Any advise would be much appreciated. Happy to share my email if needed. Thank you a lot!
How exciting! Bishop is my first as well! I don’t use FB, but I did sign up for the WPG groups. There are a ton of other owners there that have all asked the questions that will come up and overall great information there. Also, prepare for shark teeth for the first few months. They can all have pretty different personalities, so some will just be adjusting to how your pups attitude and energy level is. I did crate train at night until he was potty trained...now he just chooses to go in there when he feels like it and hasn’t had any accidents in the house... though I have heard some can take a really long time to potty train because they are so smart/stubborn.

I’m so sorry to hear that. They are definitely like no other dog that I’ve ever owned.

Picking my little guy up tomorrow im so excited!!!
I have a twelve week old. So cute!
Our Roscoe is 3 1/2 (and just become a dad!) but I see so many similarities of his puppy days with Bishop, what a beautiful boy!
Thank you... and congrats to Roscoe!
He's adorable!
I have 2. Best dogs in have ever had. Good job working that pup.
Beautiful Griff!
Two of my favorites, slide guitar and WSG. Next year, I'm getting one.

I’ve watched this video once every week since I put a deposit down for a wpg pup lol.
I love korthals...my dad has 4....greetings from italy
I have watched this vid so many times. I'm looking into getting a Griff but a bit difficult here in Japan. looking forward to more of your vids.
Thanks so much! Definitely will have some new stuff soon :)
What are the pet import laws in Japan? I know the vaccines/flight info have to be done months in advance

Yep love him while you have him

That’s a lovely Griffon! We’re considering getting a griffon puppy. Which breeder is he from?
What breeder did you go through to find Bishop? Amazing dog.
Thrill of the hunt. They are near Sacramento California and they have place in Polson MT as well.

I grew up with Cesky Fousek. Very similar good dogs. Where did you get him from?
❤❤❤❤
Where did you get him??

Whsts the different between this breed and german short hair pointers
I have a German wire. Hair piontr
i don'y have a pointing griffon i have a wired haired
Over priced under qualified dogs. Wouldn't recommend, let alone hunt with one.
