it is logical that the blood pressure is calibrated using a more precise cuff based blood pressure monitor rather than a wrist type but then it will read the blood pressure from the wrist. so i calibrated mine with a wrist monitor. works fine.

Recording ECG works fine on my Galaxy Watch4 (H71M) model SM-R870 in Canada. But, can't calibrate. It says "No compatible watch found. To use this feature, you need a Galaxy watch Active 2 or later model that was released in a country where this feature has been arpproved. It's on One UI v 5.0 Watch. Software version R870XXU1HWH3 / SM=R870NZKAXAA." Am I missing something?

So, how do we activate the blood pressure feature? It all sounded good and dandy, but you didn't explain it.
This video is from Canada. I wasted a lot of time trying to get it set up in U.S. Will not work here. Not even an option. My blood pressure device pairing app (Omron Connect)is also unbelievable in the amount of data they collect and sell. You cannot opt out of marketing and data sharing unless you live in California or Maryland. If you have an Omron device for taking your BP, i suggest not installing the device app until Samsung gets approval for this feature in the U.S. I am considering reseearch on whether there is an alternative device more respectful of medical privacy. Video was good. I just wish since it was Best Buy, that my assumption the information was for the U.S. was disabused earlier. I thought it was not approved, I did not realize that meant you could not use it at all. Good video. Bad we are being held back in U.S.
I knew this part about not being able to use it in the US. I am still hoping that If I buy one from Canada that the app and monitor will work here in the US. I just need to find a list of models that I could buy from Canada that will work.

I have a Galaxy Watch 4 and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, but I don't see the BP option for the watch, only ECG? How do I get the BP app for the watch? I'm in the US and I have a normal BP cuff too.
The FDA in the US hasn't approved the feature on samsung watches yet and they don't seem to be in a hurry to so samsung can't allow us to use that feature unfortunately..
@@Sphios What if I buy a Canada version of the watch. WIll it still work on my samsung phone and apps or is is locked out of the app? One could buy a watch that has it and them have it shipped?
@@kameljoe21 from my understanding, it's not the watch that's the problem. It's actually the software and the software knows what region you are in. But I did read that there is a way to basically download a cracked version of the health app which will allow the blood pressure monitoring to work. If you Google it, you'll probably be able to find it. But I never tried it because after looking into the actual blood pressure monitoring of the watch, I decided it wasn't worth the hassle. It's only accurate for about 1 month at a time and then you have to recalibrate it with a blood pressure monitoring device again. For you though, if you have health issues and need to keep track of your BP, maybe it would be worth it
So frustrating. I have zero ecg info on my samsung health app. I go to the store and type in samsung health monitor. I click update. It spins for a sec then goes back to update. I go back to my app and nothing has changed. Unbelievable how anyone at samsung can create such a problematic process to achieve.
Everything worked fine but the problem is I don't have a machine to measure my blood pressure and calibrate with watch
NOT esp. if you have a Samsung phone. YOU NEED a Samsung phone for these to work. They are blocked on all other phones which I find infuriating as I just bought a watch 5 only to discover that some health monitoring is crippled UNLESS you have a Samsung phone.

the conclusion is ecg & bpm features is not accurate, so do not expect much. 🙂
Or on a positive note it only works for 28 days after calibration

I'm having the same problem. I tried talking to Samsung but they just gave me this video to look at
It's not in the galaxy store from what I can see. My mom found it pre installed on the watch, and once open it gives you a download button for your phone to get it. Experience has been awful trying to get going.
Aug 5 2023 I just called SAMSUNG TECH because my BLOOD PRESSURE feature on Samsung watch 5 is missing. The tech tried to help me reinstall it but then found with the last Samsung UPDATE the feature was REMOVED for blood pressure monitoring by the FDA? Strange because I still ahave that feature on a different brand (cheaper) watch that I own.
Is the blood pressure monitoring available on watch 6?
I just bought a zfold 5 and watch 6 and fck no it's not...I was expecting this feature

@deddagen me too for me and wife both and both with zfold 5s or our s21 ultras NO blood pressure app in Samsung health because of FDA removal in US....

I just have to add that it still wasn't clear as to where and specifically to set up with what equipment. I understand warning and urging people not to rely on certain things for medical info. I can only chuckle when half these videos urging people in a voice of desperation to not rely on it for medical use. I don't think anybody spent the hundreds of dollars just for the BP monitor features only. LOL
