I was very happy to see teacher and the next to youngest daughter have an honest conversation with each other. This all must be confusing to the youngest children. How long does it take a preschooler to comprehend that her dad is a bad man. She was very brave to engage in that conversation. And she looked happy that he understood and explained things, and shook her hand and kissed her. This is what a real dad does and I think she recognizes this. I think all the children are growing very close to the teacher. And he toward them. This is important for Leila to witness. Leila has probably been paralyzed by fear for a long time. With a criminal for a husband, not knowing when or where he’ll show up. I think the grandmother is crazy too. She doted on the 2 youngest girls, tried to steal both of them too. I’m hopeful that all this will work out for a new family. Hope that the teacher will get his money back. And Leila will marry him and they live happily together in the house teacher is building now. Since Amir didn’t pay the young boys, I would be surprised if any of that money is still around. Amir made a threat he would kill the teacher.
