Good morning Samantha, I am following your channel and love your podcast, knitting projects and your designs 😍 Like you, I also did not like to have to deal with long floats in a fair-isle project, until I discovered a technique I did not know. This technique was recently shared by another podcaster I am following (Lau Demoizelle). It is called the "ladder back" knitting technique. She provided us with a link to a youtube tutorial but it was in French (Clo Tricots), but I am sure you will find other tutorials in English by searching on youtube. I hope this can help you as well 😉 Wishing you a nice day 😘 Catherine from Belgium
Hi. I have been listening and watching this podcast with only dreams of making the projects with your choices of yarn you have made. I am in awe of your ideas and talent so much that I would.d really like to step up my game in my knitting. Thank you for showing us your makes and dream makes.
I have my handy knitting light for when it gets really dark so hopefully I'll be able to power through ☺ There's so much on the to-knit list though, so hopefully it's enough to tide over until the sun comes back
@@gayleklein8890 I love her channel! I was so tempted to participate in her British wool KAL but I have so many WIPs that I had to exercise some self-control 🙁
@@TheStrikkechick I bought some yarn to cone! Don't tell my husband if you see him!! So affordable even with shipping to US! Got it in less than 10 days! Will cast on after visiting my newest granddaughter! Happy knitting! Oh, love your haircut! Very flattering!
Hi. I would hold the knfo mohair olive green together with the dove blue Merino. I love green tones. Also blue tones with green in it. :) just sayin'. All the best, Nana from Germany
I had never thought of holding it with blue, but that could look so nice! Like a rich teal maybe. I'll definitely bring it into my LYS and try holding those two together ☺
What a great list of sweaters. I can’t wait to see them knit up. Currently I’m working on The Daily Pullover, a basic V-neck, from Paula Perriera. Soon I will start the Slanted Slipover by Anne Ventzel. It takes me a long time finish a garment (due to tendinitis) so I have to keep my list short. Happy Knitting!
I love Anne Ventzel's patterns! I've been wanting to start a Spot Sweater with my leftover mohair yarns. Can't wait to see your Daily Pullover and Slanted Slipover!
Love seeing what you make. Umm I believe I live in part of the rest of the world. Not going into fall.🌻 Spring🌷🐝🐞! Flowers are everywhere. We always get forgotten. I know it was a slip. It's OK. 😆😆 I still love seeing what you make. I guess a long winter makes for a lot more knitting time😆😆
My bad! I meant to say northern hemisphere. I'm so jealous of your spring though - we're almost at winter here. The mountains are covered in snow already.
Love your channel! This was fascinating and I have added a handful of sweaters to my que. I enjoy listening to your thought process on the choosing of the patterns. A stripe sweater on my list is Ship Shape by Heidi Kirrmaier.
I knit the embrace octopus sweater last year :) I was able to meet gauge with Drops Alaska and used a dark green for the body with a lighter green for the octopus, so not really a contrast colour but more like a tonal project. It's obviously not as soft as Drops Air or Fritids Garn, but it made for a hard-wearing sweater that can be used as outerwear! Curious to see what you'll end up using though, it really is a labour of love but so worth it 😅
Oh that sounds lovely! Drops Alaska is a really nice yarn to work with - I used some for my leftover yarn sweater (the Meli-Melo by Yasmine Knits). I might consider Nepal or maybe just play it safe with Drops Air since then I could wear it to the office ☺
I had to stop at the point where you got to the Hopi pullover. I totally wanted it that one too. I’ve been searching for the perfect outdoor pullover and I decided on that one just two days ago. So it’s so exciting that you’ve chosen the same one. Now I just have to decide on the colors. Now I should turn on the podcast again and find out if you’ve chosen colors. 😂
Hi from Ireland ☘. I love the podcast. I have about 20 projects on the go atm. My favourite being Morning mist by Sidsel Hoivik and Honeysuckle by Marie Wallin.
Wow you must be really good at remembering your place on all those WIPs! I get a bit overwhelmed with 4 or 5 on the go at the same time 😅 Honeysuckle is a gorgeous pattern
I’m relatively new to knitting, only started in April of this year, and I want to up my game this knitting season and make some pieces that will stay in my wardrobe for years to come. So, I’m thinking about casting on the Semper Sweater by the knit purl girl pretty soon, and then also trying out some Petite Knit patterns, who, like you, I have yet to try (which feels somewhat like knitting blasphemy 🙈) The Olympic Games sweater is beautiful but also looks so complicated 😍😭
The Semper sweater looks lovely! And Sophie put in an incredible amount of work with the 26-page addendum to the pattern. I'm actually thinking of documenting the journey of knitting the Olympic Games sweater just because I know it'll take me forever 😅
I agree with Flax! And the first sweater I ever knit was the Simple Knit Sweater by Ashleigh Kiser of Sewrella, and that has an accompanying video tutorial on TH-cam which was really helpful to me
@@TheStrikkechick thank you. Maybe it would be good to do a baby size just to get the idea 💡 and donate it to someone in the community. That way it is not so intimidating.

Aww thank you so much! Do you have anything on your knitting wishlist that you want to start this year? ☺
You know, I really enjoyed watching your thought process about your patterns! You should be so busy knitting you won't notice it's dark!! Be well!

I'm very taken with your Bonnieux Cardigan. Are you intending to make it available on Ravelry?
Thank you! I'll have a Ravelry page set up for it by the end of the month, and the pattern will be available to download on my website ☺

I have never done a sweater yet. Any easy ones you think I could handle it with good instructions. Thanks for any help. Judy
Have a look at the Flax by Tin Can Knits. It’s a free pattern, and they really hand hold you through the process. It’s a great first sweater.
