I had proof of that last summer when my storage units were broken into. The lock shackle was too big for the bolt cutter so the cut the slide lock that the lock was attached to.
Now I want to find a nasty old lock made of tungsten and drop some solder down the cylinder and see if LPL and pick that or destroy it before it makes him just a little bit crazy. 😊

I’m actually considering this lock even after watching both videos to lock my bike up. Maximum security isn’t the only specification to look for when buying a bike lock, especially when you’re going to be toting it around in a back pack. The low cost of this lock as well as the weight (less than three pounds including the cable) make it a great buy all things considered. I was just working out the force (feel free to check my math) ... for the massive amounts to Leverage Force this set up has. Note: Not allowing for thread friction, With a 100 pound force at the end of the wench say just over 9.5" in length (according to a similar wrench I own) means each revolution covers a full 60" Each revolution (of 60" ) makes only 1/10 of one inch advancement ... 20 TPI (Threads per inch) divided by two ... as both bolts move simultaneously... in other words you'd have to make 10 revolutions to move the spreader 1" wider ... Thats 10 x 60" = 600" a 600 to 1 ratio (600:1) ... So 100 pounds on the wrench equates to 60,000 pounds at the spreader!! That means this set up is well within reason to provide 30 TONS of spreading force!
