KIMI doesn't have a channel, he doesn't benefit from everyone else calling him out. He also uses setting to stop spin outs. I think there are too many TH-cam "pros" saying turn off all settings. turn on the anti spin out setting and you wont get pit maneuvered. turn on rejoin track and you wont get stuck in the grass for 20 seconds. GT doesn't ban players, proven, he's playing within the games mechanics. Granted, it sucks lol.

Kimi is an emotional twit. We've seen him lose it on any contact and then rage quit. He's not some infamy clout-chasing whore. He's just an emotionally stunted idiot who can drive fast.

I've seen in comments of other videos about this driver that the driver will send messages with titles of videos made about the and decorates their car with dirty driving references. Clearly they're enjoying the attention and seeking it. You don't need a TH-cam channel to have that gained benefit. They enjoy these videos made about them.

If I see someone constantly pushing people off intentionally and I am able to catch them, my main goal becomes to ruin their race completely so that they finish last at all costs. I will do it smartly of course, so that I don't just spin out and let them continue. Even if it takes me with it, but just seeing them finish last is so satisfying.

For me, the worst part about dirty driving is that it’s a lose-lose for the victim.
If you quit: negative rating and a 10-20 min wait until the next race
If you stay: penalty and/or losing the race and negative rating in most cases

  • @DanfredSerrano

One thing I've noticed a lot lately is that when I save replays and watch them again from various points of view to analyze what happened and how people react and feel in their shoes, I see a vast majority of drivers using driving aids, mainly countersteering assistance and ASM, which results in the settings kicking in at every point of the race, making them drive erratically, slowing down in sectors they shouldn't (and making you bump into them because of the unexpected sudden breaks) but more importantly, if they engage with you trying to force you out or punt you, their car regains control almost immediately while yours don't, so it actually pays off more for them to drive like that.
Other thing is how weird the AI calculates penalties... A few nights ago a car behind me forgot to break completely, smashed right behind me, lost control and met Barry R... I got the penalty for pushing another car off track.

I stopped playing GT7 because of dirty drivers in lobbies.
The car in front of me hits the wall and slows causing me to rear end them and I get a penalty but then drivers can drive like Kimi and get absolutely no penalties.

I've been in races where a couple of punters turn the whole field bad. Ironically it seems to be everytime I get up to B class. They obvs need to work on the blame side of penalties for a start, that might be enough. But if not, maybe a cost in credits for "damage caused" to other cars comes out of account, kinda like insurance. And also a cost to repair your car before it can race again, maybe that day? So kimi car front should cost him 20k say to repair before they race that car again that day if they own it. If rented, then the cost comes straight out. But, will only work if the blame side is sorted of course.

Happened to me this week several times at Monza.
As long as hitting the barriers (after being rammed off track) and cutting corners is being penalised harsher than ramming other cars off track, there is no point in competing in online lobbies.
It took me months to achieve Dr A (with Sr S) and it took some a$$holes 7 or 8 races at Monza to ram me down to DR and SR B.
I'm seriously considering quitting GT7 for good!

I've given up on GT. I've become one of the clichés who have started on ACC and I haven't looked back. If you want serious racing, GT just isn't the place to be.
The fact that Kimi even makes it into so many content creator's videos leads me to question how big the online player base actually is.
And finally, even taking the penalty system out of the equation, the SR system in GT needs a huge overhaul. It's just too easy to get the S rating.

    @bsn0730 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

I'm in lower lobbies where I don't have popular drivers everyone knows and granted I don't play the game a ton, I'm very casual about it but I rarely see outright dirty drivers. Usually the worst I see is when two drivers have some contact and one or both get angry and try to ruin the other driver's race they had the contact with. Plenty of bad driving, people going for dives that just aren't there, losing control in a corner or braking with a tire in the grass, outbraking themselves and crashing into the car in front (me included in all these) but most of the time the people I race against will keep it clean when they drive within themselves. People usually don't wait up when there's contact though is the biggest problem with the bad driving.

    • @mkaleborn
      @mkaleborn 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I’m in the C lobbies still too, I don’t play enough to really advance. But I’ve seen exactly the same thing. Most drivers mean we’ll, it’s just the skill level isn’t quite there. But I’ve had some amazing friendly battles with other C and B drivers for the most part.
I think it’s the high profile TH-cam crowd these ‘pro dirty’ drivers target for the infamy.

I’ve struggled a lot of times recently with GT7 on this subject. I get to play 3/4 times a week. I’m constantly frustrated by drivers who take you out, knock you down to the back of the grid way off the pack, and you get the penalty for hitting the barriers. All whilst the other driver gets away without any reprimand. It then makes me angry, and after a few incidents to anger me, I then play dirty too. On that odd occasion I can have a drama free race, the rewards of playing GT7 are incredible. But that’s few and far between right now.

Only 2 ways to truly solve the problem of rammers, either PD needs to work with the streamers who play on TH-cam and Twitch to ban these individuals. Or all the main streamers on those 2 platforms need to boycott GT7 and all future GT games loudly enough to put a hurt on PD's profits.

I think that after every game that happens, that the system shows all racers cars/user names to either select or not select their icons, which in turn, would inform some sort of system in truisms database, that …per say, 9 of 20 people selected a specific user, a clip of that users replay of the race gets assessed and at that point, they get banned for at minimum. A month..blocking them from joining other online lobbies, I dunno, just trying to figure out some system that allows bad dirty drivers be kicked out for a long while, and if they do it over again once they get to play again, after the 30 day block, then if it happens again, then boot them for 6 months, then a year and then directly 2 years… more punishment needs to be set in place… it’s like at a job at a company, 2 strikes and your gone…and that’s that…:) Great vid. And sad to see as always, one bad apple spoil the bunch.

it is utterly incredible that PD have not sorted this out it is not like it is a new problem, it has just got worse, this is one of the reasons I have NOT bought GT7 or a PS 5 to play it on as i cannot be bothered building up my driver profile to have it smashed by dirty drivers, they could simply ban them each account must have its own unique identifier like MAC address or PD database Id to track and ban the culprits that's why I believe more of the private you tuber lobbies such as Kie are becoming more popular as there is ultimately more control to remove bad drivers and ends up a more enjoyable experience. I managed to creep my way into the A+, then I bought GT7 and it was fine. The penalty system was strict but it worked to deter rammers and cheaters from doing what they do. Then they nurfed it to oblivion over a couple of updates to the system now where it's completely absent. Here's a useful psychology trick I learned from our friend Stephen Scott: Scolding dirty drivers and trashing them in chat is EXACTLY what they're hoping to see after the race, so just don't do it... flip the script and say something light-hearted instead like, "Hey, lets be friends." or "That was fun, but less boom boom in the next one, please." Your rage is their reward, so take that option off the board completely, and force a "relationship" with them instead. Now results may vary, since Scottie is a Certified Master of charisma and charm, but it's also worked for me plenty of times too. Thanks again Kireth, for bringing attention in a more positive way. This dates back to even GTR2 days. You can do anything and everything to avoid this but there will always and usually be that guy, or child. What we did to resolve this was go on the forums and create our own racing/casual driving league if you will. Like-minded people want to drive with the same no doubt. You get enough people and pick a couple dates that you know people will show with reserve drivers. So if you have a grid with 20 peeps but have 35 members, you qualify for the best 20 they race.. the others race in another lobby, and you can tally points if that's what you do. At the end of the season, we would gift between 20-50.00 of game credit or whatever. In short PRIVATE lobbies with your racing league of your own.

Amazing not a single penalty seemed to be fished out to Kimi for all that carnage. I wasn’t aware the driver aids could be so powerful, basically a ‘Rammer Aid’.
I think if PD / Sony ever roles out their Sophy AI, some will just abandon online races and use that. If it’s realistic enough, I’d just race against my 1 or 2 buddies and have the rest of the grid be AI.

  • @frankadank96

I believe the issue with penalties is if you touch a car soft enough it won’t register it as a collision. I haven’t played iracing or acc but what I can tell from those games is any contact will result in collision maybe no penalty but something showing and tracking saying the driver made contact x amount of times thus putting them in a lower rated lobby.

Yes, looks like they know just what they're doing, and will lightly put the weight of their car on the right spot to be able to "P.I.T" maneuver, or push, the other cars into spinning out without slamming into them. They know what activates the penalties and know how to get the negative effects on others without triggering it. And then they smile, write messages and decorate their livery with troll messages when all these people make vids complaining about them.

Here Kimi obviously goes off track and shorts some turns in order to gain seconds against people in front so he catches up quickly while those cars in front are actually racing within white lines. So a good penalty, and I've seen this in other racing games, is just reduce the speed of players who cut corners, it's like 2 or 3 seconds where the dirty driver goes slower than the rest of the lobby. But a game allowing the player to technically create a shorter track to gain time is quite ridiculous.

In the last week I have gone from A to very nearly C because every race has aggressive drivers who divebomb or don't know or care where breaking points are, I am close to quitting because it really isn't fun anymore. My skill level is much greater than a year ago and I should be able to get and keep an A. It is impossible at the moment. I am not the only one. Every race you see drivers that were A who are now B or C. IF THEY DON'T FIX IT, HOW MANY WILL QUIT???

    • @AlanKSimulations
      @AlanKSimulations 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

In my opinion alot of dropping from A to B DR lately is due to A+ TH-camrs not qualifying and starting from the back.
If everyone qualifies, you are placed on the grid based on quali time and you can gain 2 - 3 places or lose 2 - 3 places depending on your skill. Example everyone qualifies, a driver starts 14th and finishes 11th, the game registers that the driver gained positions and boost your driver rating accordingly. This is fair.
But when A+ drivers dont qualify and start at the back for TH-cam views, a driver is placed further up the grid than they should be, this makes it harder for a driver to move forward in the race, and the A+ drivers push their way through the field meaning before the race has even started a driver is losing positions having their DR negatively affected, combine this with aggressive overtaking by A+ drivers to get back to the front costs drivers on track time and in some cases positions to drivers they a legitimately racing, all losses caused by a driver who never should have been racing in that part of the field in the 1st place meaning even more possible DR loss to be added to the DR loss incurred by an A driver before the start of the race. This is not fair on a A rated driver in any way.
But of course TH-camrs dont care about the A drivers enjoyment and ambitions, they only care about views and their own pockets.
B to C drop is definitely more of a dirty driving issue tho.

@@AlanKSimulations From what I understand DR isn't affected by gaining or losing positions per se. I read somewhere that based on your placement after the race is over, you gain/take DR from everyone who finished after you with a bonus given for people that have a higher DR than you. At the same time, everyone who finishes in front of you takes a little bit of your DR. In essence, if you finish better than half the grid you net a positive DR.

Love the channel, and love the videos, being in North America, I'm not sure I've come across this Kimi person. But, I do have question for the pros here. I barely play Sport mode, simply because I just cannot compete. I qualify near the bottom always, but when it comes time for the race, the entire field just blows past me, and I'm always fighting for last place. I thought the BoP would level the field, but still I'm left in the dust, the only way I can move up is when other cars drop out of the race, but still, I'm fighting for that last spot or second to last spot. Am I missing something in set up before the race, but with BoP applied, there doesn't look like there's much I can adjust. I'm not one of the pros, but by holding your foot down on the accelerator when the start counts down you can get away faster (doesn't work on grid starts though). They could also be using traction control to move off quicker (I don't use it myself but if the same car as I'm driving catches me before I reach turn 1, that could be why). Another possibility is that they may just be better with gear changes and maybe are driving a slightly faster car.

BOP balances the performance of the cars (though GT7 does a very bad job at this) not the drivers. Without wanting to sound rude, it sounds like you just need to get faster. Practice qualifying runs more instead of doing the races and just aim to improve your times. Have you got traction control on? Turning that off is a good place to start. I'm not saying its right, but one could argue, the fame or infamy you give these guys prompts this sort of driving style because, for instance, you have given him an entire video! Alt accounts and fame for the person or the youtuber,, can also spark the idea, he is part of streamers content, or directly linked to the streamer for the added views! You think Kimi would even be searched if it wasn't for you guys? A quick search for Kimi brings up a number of your videos! So essentially you're part of the problem or directly linked to him yourself!
Its a horrible feeling, having a good race ruined, but think of it more like, dynamic opponents. Tyre wear, fuel or weather can ruin your game just as quickly. It can't be policed because there's always the element of mistakes or malfunctions in equipment that play a part too. I think you have to stop giving the fame to these guys. Being an enthusiast, put your focus elsewhere and don't show his highlights or emphasise him in your videos!

Dropped my safety rating from 20 to under 15 in just that one race... then, about a week ago, I was playing on-line in Project Cars 2, and there was a guy just ramming random drivers, and totalling their cars... the lobby went from like 15 players to 0 in less than five minutes, and I never got a chance to race as you can't join an already active race...

A complete master class by kimi here. This was hilarious. Well played from kimi I see nothing wrong with this. No penalties. If you can’t beat ‘em, join em. Literally kimi ran an incredible race. Ez win

Great your addressing this. But very few people will come across this guy. The reason nobody is going sport, is because day 1 of your sport mode opening:
    1. Open sport watch fair play video
    2. Choose a daily can be up to 15 mins wait
    3. Practice the lap, probably take a rental to start just to up your fair play ranking SR
    4. Finally get a race
    5. Get it completely ruined by others immediately.
This kimi is one guy.. at the absolute lowest level as a starter, every single car is bashing you up, spinning you off. Don't get me wrong i like a good race and strong position chasing. What I'm talking about is the entire online community just aiming and bashing ppl off the road for fun. Your right, I work hard, come home, want to race. I'm older. 3 things that will sort this:
    1. Make a Demolition Derby mode for idiots.
    2. Make a kick system. All others to vote cheaters off. Always worked in the past.
    3. Make age based servers. I will guarantee you this is a child and teenage thing. Just make it so you can create your own servers based on age linked to your psn account with a bank account.
I'm not pulling punches. I don't care. You can be nice to that kimi, appeal to his better nature. It won't work, he don't care. He doesn't have a better nature. He never will, and now he's famous you think he gonna stop ? No chance pal. I don't care if he's paid for the game, get him banned online. He still has single player. Everyone else paid good money for this too, let's not forget that.
I can guarantee, like me, that new guys (and I don't mean new to gt series I'm 50 years old and been on gt since original PlayStation) (actually I go back to sinclair zx81) going to gt7 sport, returning fans, hoping this absolute train wreck that is gt online (since it went online years ago) hoping this nonsense is fixed, find it's worse than ever before. These guys jumping on sport in gt7 after first race are going to dump this game or go back to gt sport.
Like the joke goes on PC games 'what's the best COD game?'
Answer: all the previous cod's except the latest one, cos all the idiots have jumped ship to that, leaving the old game to be played by good gamers'
Unless Sony sort this, it's dead in the water...

I stopped playing this game because of how dirty people get. I play fair and I don’t try and wreck people I let faster racers pass me but when I need to pass someone than they wreck me everytime lol. I enjoyed it when it first came out but a penalty of a few seconds when I’m sent to dead last just isn’t worth my time.

Well, as a Spaniard, I mean that Kimi is known for being dirty, he does it to attract attention, he already did it in Gran Turismo Sport and to have a visit on his channel, if this guy is publicized, he will continue, he has been doing this for years, but if the game does not improve in what it is in terms of penalties, guys like this will become famous for these things, it is fast and very good, but as I said, it does it only to talk about less publicity, better, it is my humble opinion

personally i think he's paid by PP.. the game needs drama. its what i call management by spaghetti-western (the good, the bad and the ugly). we have kimi, kireth and naffantait. kir playing simulation, naff playing normal and kimi playing evil. together they form an weird kinda trinity in which they are dependant on each other and what the game need to prosper. no drama equals less attention and the game gets forgotten.. PP feeds new cars and the occasional new track but still sees to it that a working glitch is never far away, all in the name of marketing. it works just fine for me.

On ps4 the only reporting I see is 'Problem Area' selections 'user nickname' and 'userid' and can only report on things like offensive language, porn, etc... nothing related to dirty driving. So I select harassment but my reports get reviewed and rejected they find nothing wrong with the nickname or id. Please help!

They should do temporary bans for players that continuously have reports filed on them. I didn't see Kimi get one penalty in this video! If I did this, i would've racked up over a minute just in penalties.
