Hello, that's a nice collection of records you have. I checked your spotify-wrapped playlist from the previous video and it's really nice (following now). Liked the record in the background of that video (Hazel English double EP). I made a playlist of recommendations with tracks of the 2010's and early 2020's, don't forget to subscribe (almost 16 hours and still updating). There will be two more playlists soon. 2020 wasn't a great year for music. Many releases I was looking forward to were very disappointing. What I liked the most was: Haim, Hazel English, Katy J Pearson, The Strokes, Tennis, Kevin Morby, Hot Since 82, Matt Berninger, Tessa Dixson, Jessie Ware, Kölsch, Fleet Foxes and surprisingly Lady Gaga / Dua Lipa. Hope it will be a positive year for you. Music and hiking in nature are good for the mind. Have you ever considered to do hifi-reviews? The vlogs from John Darko (darkoaudio), Jana Dagdagan, The Audio Belle, Zero Fidelity,... made hifi cool again :) I think the industry is finally reaching out to the younger generation. Some brands will probably send you some gear for testing. Maybe Buchardt can send you a pair of A500's and sound hub for review (30 days I think), reach out to Kef for a pair of Kef LS50 wireless, Nad M10 or Nad M33 from Nad in combination with a pair of Dali's,... @Sophie Tag I hope you have the courage to continue this music vlog, it doesn't have to be vinyl-only. I stopped buying vinyl, except a handful special releases every year. It's just too expensive nowadays and a good "digital system" surpasses many turntables under 2K in terms of soundquality. With the money I saved from buying tons of records, I bought a decent amp / streamer / speakers / NAS. Doing hi-fi reviews in the style of John Darko (Darkoaudio) would be supercool for you, I think. There's only 2 other women in the bussiness (Jana Dagdagan en Audio Belle) but they don't post regularly. I think various brands are looking for younger and female faces, to reach out to younger generations. Channels like Darko (videos have 10 000 or more views only 2 hours after being posted), The Next Best Thing Studio, Zero Fidelity definately made hifi more accesible to the masses and younger generations. Before it was a hobby for old boring men in hawaii shirts listening to elevator music :) Here's my second spotify playlist, it's mostly melodic techno / house / progressive trance from local artists + 3 harder remixes from 90s & 00s classics. Digital sounds good as well and is definately cheaper. Just save up some money for active speakers. Kef ls50 wireless ii, active dali speakers with bluos module... and play cd rips stored on NAS (cd's are cheap 2nd hand) or subscribe to a lossless / hi-res streaming service like qobuz or tidal. I had to save up money for many years, but it was really worth it :)
