Great trucks, the 9700 was very much under rated .It was easy to manuver in tight spots and easy to back into a truck stop spot I drove one for a couple of years, most drivers wanted a hood so they would look good I guess, wish they would bring these back.

@@ChrisnFugo 🇺🇸 You’re right. There was a local company who had about 15 cabovers on the lot that were still used for local deliveries and spotting trailers. As of last year, before COVID, they were down to 1. I looked at it and tied to buy it, but it never started and they still wanted too much for it. I love seeing them out on the road and at shows. We spot some here and there, and that’s when we chase them down. There’s still money in trucking and cabovers.

I went back to see if they had brought any others from the other warehouses, but was told that the one I looked at was the last one. Now I’ve found that a buddy of mine has 3 old JB Hunt cabovers…pretty much just glider kits. I’m investigating those. Will do a video on them if he agrees to it. 😎
Navistar should never have discontinued the 9800 in the first place. After all, as could be seen in one of the clips, it squashed a fake Saleen Mustang in 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Even back in the early 2000s cabovers were still common despite them becoming sacred.

What year range was the 1 piece windshield w/3 wipers in the sba 9800? To me are hands down the sharpest looking c.o.e. made.
