The 49ers faithful knew Brock was HIM. Last night, the world found out that BROCK is HIM
as a niner fan that's was the best qb play in 20 years for us j.s
Yes sir ! All smiles for Brock so happy they decided to draft him with the last pick . Guess it’s true save the best for last .
...until he faces the eagles front seven...at philly...enjoy Purdys 8 game hall of fame career now
@@ROAC35oh how we can't wait to stomp y'all . Clown think y'all are something injuring our QB last year u getting all that smoke this year
@@ROAC35 you do know the eagles front 7 is different from last year right. I do believe one of their best defensive players from last year is now a 49er
Dre Greenlaw & Fred Warner patrolling the middle cannot be understated
Greenlaw is vicious!!!
Im still surprised they didnt call a PF on him on that first tackle, lol.
They are absolutely savage. #11 isn’t on their level as a LB.
@@mitchr8481 While no coach likes penalties I suspect kyle and wilkes, would take 1 15 yarder per game to make sure greenlaw stays the way he does. I dont think other teams are scared persey, but they definatly dont want to be tackled by him.
Griese is the new QB coach who found Purdy. Every QB under Griese has drastically lowered their ints or avoided them, including Jimmy. Bless Shanahan for listening
Definitely Kyle needed to humble himself to get where we are now and it’s looking amazing‼️
Definitely can’t be overstated enough- Griese FOUND Purdy. He was tasked with looking at the late round QBs, and Purdy was the guy he liked. Griese deserves a raise for that one.
Fred Warner should be the front runner for defensive player of the year right now.
Tj watt Warner is 2nd right now
@@lancegnva yeah that kid in Pitt is just stupid good.
@@lancegnvathey not winning like niners and niners beat them head to head
@@lancegnvastat wise 100% but Warner affects games watt can't. Watt let's you know he's there. Warner let's you know when you've lost.
He's balling out.
It was 42-10 one minute into Q4. The final score makes it seem it was closer than it really was. Shanahan pulled the offense and took pity on Dallas after that. Had the 49ers kept playing, they'd have another TD (or two). It was total domination for 3 quarters and game was over. Dallas was stunned and humiliated on national tv. Beautiful to watch😂😂😂.
cant blame shanahan tho. im sure theres a cloud hanging over his head about injuring starters. 42-10 after 3 quarters theres no need to risk getting starters injured.
If cmc didn’t fumble it woulda been 49 in 3 quarters lol. Monster game
I think the TV image of Purdy and the rest of the boys watching the game on the sideline with their hats on with almost a full quarter left to play is even more of a public humiliation to Dallas than if 9ers scored another couple td's🤷♂
He didn't just pull the starters of the offense, he pulled the defense too. If not, it could have easily been over 50-10 if not 60-10.
Three or Four more TDs, easily. This was _'Prevent the Injuries from Stacking Up',_ all the way. 😊
The throw purdy made on 3rd and 14 was elite, game manager my ass he has that IT factor
SF had 42 points through 3 quarters against a pretty good defense. They could have easily scored 56 if they didn't put the scrubs in for mop up duty
Yep. Purdy had good numbers for a four quarter game in only three quarters.
Even the scrubs handled Dak and the Cowboy offense 😆
@@Rob0917Too be honest, the Niners don't have any scrubs. 👍
@@jinwanc Good point!
As a seahawks fan, theres not even any shit to talk about the 49ers anymore this year. They are clearly the best team in the league, and my wish of going 1-1 with them this year has basically vanished
Seahawks play us tougher than anyone every yesr
Your Seahawks are better than the eagles so you guys have a shot.
Its a rivalry game.
@@Debo1088facts. I think Seahawks are the second best team behind the 9ers
As a niners fan... the Seahawks are always a tough matchup - I'll never write off the Seahawks
For most people, 'system quarterback' means the quarterback would not be successful outside the system that he plays in. Purdy and Shanahan seem to be a perfect fit for one another🔥
Facts
I hate that adjective. Every single QB is, to some extent, a system QB. If you put Mahomes in the Ravens run heavy offence for example, he wouldn't be Mahomes as we know him
That’s the connotation talking heads in the sports world initially use when talking about Brock. They all want to backtrack or redefine their analysis now that Brock is proving them wrong.
Mahommes, Andy Reid system
Kurt Warner, Mike Martz system
Brady, Belichick system
Russell Wilson, Pete Carroll system
These QB’s aren’t drawing up their own plays lol😂
Wasn't Matt Ryan the "joystick" QB Shanny wanted?
I'm never bored watching the 49ers blow out other teams.
pacifica? like ptown south of Daly City?
@@claytonreid996 Yep

Darnold not the same as Purdy. Not even close. Brock Purdy is a bonafide Superstar
I don't think Darnold has the fire in him as a back-up QB. I could see it in his face when asked about Purdy. He looked pissed and disillusioned. He wants to start, but it is not happening as long as Purdy stays healthy.
😂😂😂 superstar? Maybe in SF. There’s only 3 superstar QBs in the league
This is the same florio that dissed Brock a few days ago😂
To be fair, Purdy is a weird last name. At least that matters to Florio 😑
No one had outrageous stats because none of them played the entire 4th quarter!
Fax Purdy could have 300+ yards if he played the 4th
And the D gave them short fields all night long
And Brock spread it around. I mean 3 of their receivers had at least 50+ yards. And he is just so effective, they move down the field and score TDs. Their isnt a whole lot of long drives that don't end in scoring points.
Purdy, Shannahan &the 49ers took respect yesterday. They looked like the best team, all around, and I won’t bet against them the rest of this year.
I love how Chris mentions growing up watching Montana. The 80s was a golden era for QB play. His dad, Elway, Marino, Kelly. I was a teen in the early 80s. What a time to be a football fan.
Purdy is hitting downfield throws, downfield throws out of structure. Haters and idiots
It's bullshit. Every QB is a "system" QB. Brock is a baller and Dak is a fraud.
At this point. That's about all they got. BANG BANG.
That's why all the idiots are on social media and do not work for an NFL team.
"Haters" is almost over used as much as "system qb." Please stop. One day you millennials might have to face some real haters and you will be totally confused as to what hate actually means.
What I’ve notice is the great second half adjustment the defense makes.
Good eyes my friend.
Yes, but Id prefer if they adjust a bit sooner than half, lol.
@mitchr8481 . I think they make adjustments in game pretty well.
Best in the league last couple years 💪🏼
For the 49ers, every game this year is like a playoff game, psychologically. This change happened when they lost to the Eagles due to injury in the NFC championship.
*due to bad play calling that got 2 qbs hurt and they just weren't the better team. Eagles lines on both sides made yall look like ragdolls.
@@michaelp5511 i dont buy that. nah, not true. we will find out soon, which team is better. im really looking forward to it.
Gotta secure home field, first round bye.
@@michaelp5511 you sound scared, actually.
San Francisco playing better than Philly right now, it’s not even close. Things may change with injuries and time, but now it’s not even close
The 49ers had over 400 yards of offense last night! So it's not that they didn't need the yards, it's just that they had a balanced offensive attack; they didn't rely heavily on any ONE skilled position player. It was a complete team performance!
In 3 quarters of play by 1s. 2s took over with like a 1min in the 4th!
This should put the eagles on notice. Niners coming for blood in a few weeks.
I don’t think I have ever heard Kyle be that complimentary of his QB after a game…. Usually it’s “we got some stuff to work on” even after great games, so that should tell you how Kyle feels about Brock, he LOVES him.
I wonder if Chris simms still thinks brock purdy is ranked quarterback #26 in the league still after seeing his growth this year and his complete dissection of a very good cowboys defense.
Im Purdy sure i said. If Cowboys defense CANNOT stay disciplined in their gaps, zones, or penalties. This game would be a blowout 🌬️!! Totally destroyed the Cowboys last night 🌉 💪🏻 🔥🔥🔥
Brock is the reincarnation of Joe Montana- ENOUGH SAID!!!
lol
Part of Joes magic was the comeback. Brock hasnt really needed to comeback from anything, lol.
He has Joe's poise I'll give him that but I see more similarities between Brock and Brees. Smaller at 6'0 accurate, quick processing, scans and sees the whole field, mobile enough; Brock is probably more agile than Brees though. Joe was a 1/1; nobody reminds me of him other than some embodying his composure which Brock has a good amount of that.
With Purdy playing well at QB, he's finally resolved an issue that the Shannahan - Lynch era 49ers have had: Poor to mediocre QB play. For a lot years the 49ers have been held back by the QB position. Even in the 2019 Super Bowl run they tried, that team was stacked. Insane defense, insane running. But the running was done because the QB position was suspect. They ran so much in certain times because the QB couldn't be trusted. The NFC Championship against the Packers, the 49ers won despite the QB only making 6/8 passes and 77 yards. That's suspect QB right there. When it came time to play the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, the limitations of the QB cost the 49ers the championship.
For years the 49ers have had these stacked teams but the QB position was the weakness. Lynch has done a magnificent job giving the team chances with such a good roster for years. Now with Purdy playing well and his cheap contract going on, this is *THE* best opportunity to make a championship run the Shannahan - Lynch-led 49ers have.
Great analysis. Well done Sir. Totally agree with you.
You're 100% correct.
This team gives off a different vibe than 2019. This team is a machine looking for fuel to grind up and consume rather than a good team trying to win.
More reminiscent of teams like the 1984 team than the 2019 team.
You arrent giving them enough credit. We were a couple of plays from winning a ring, lol.
That’s all they’ve been missing for last 7 years
49ers are my favorite (for now) to win it all. They’re the best team in the NFL or close to it imo.
Imagine going into philly both undefeated, lol. The media might choke themselves out with delight.
This discussion reminds me of the 49ers-Chargers Super Bowl. They don't care who they play. They are just "nameless and faceless" opponents. Just one more team to beat.
I haven't felt this good about our team since that 94 squad and this one may actually be better? I feel blasphemous even typing that but I'm wondering now
Mike McCarthy has to be one of the worst offensive coaches in the league right now. The game has completely passed over the man.
Totally agree, but he's a perfect 'yes' man when it comes to the people Jerry Jones hires
ngl yea he was aaron's backpack
As a Seahawk fan I’m
Nervous
seahawks are always a good matchup, see ya later in the year.
You might be the 49ers biggest division rival and Seahawks been a nightmare for 49ers. Still got respect for the Seahawks and I like a lot of things they are doing. Respect from a 49ers fan.
I guarantee that y’all play more physical than the cowboys and the game will probably be much closer..
With the way y'all are playing you can definitely hand us a loss in one of the 2 games if we don't watch out
@@ThePhenix1978 I think Seahawks rlly good. But like San Fran looks incredible. Brock purdy looks great
What a great performance. I worry that like his father Mike, Kyle Shanahan works the RB position relentlessly. I really hope McCaffery is still healthy, come playoff time. It’d be nice to see Deebo share the load a little more…he showed how effective he is, before McCaffery arrived.
Was good to see Mason see action. He needs to do more than 1-2 carries a game. Once he wams up he is a beast and great compliment to McCaffrey. Keeps the physicality level up.
I think shanahan started to notice there was some "bountygate" type tackling on CMC. That's when he took him out for a minute. 2nd week in a row that teams have tried to head-hunt, fishhook, and leg twist him in an attempt to possibly hurt him. If that continues we'll see less and less of CMC until playoff time.
Correct me if I’m wrong here but wasn’t Florio bashing Brock and saying he’s a fraud a couple weeks ago? I feel like he moved into the Brock is him camp without addressing that he was calling him a subpar QB
Purdy is in the best situation you could ask for as a young rookie QB. The entire team understands how making a play helps your QB and each other. They are disciplined and well coached. They are confident and physical. They feed off each other. This is what you get when you have a complete team. This is what you call bar setting at its finest. This also lets me know my team has a long way to freaking go…😂😂🤦🏽♀️
"Purdy is in the best situation you could ask for the right young rookie QB"
Fixed it.
The *COWBOYS* haven't fielded a _'complete team'_ since 1995... 😂
@@redxsage yeah good thing I ain’t a Cowboy fan….
Purdy is not a rookie. He is on a rookie contract.
@@lynnerose7891 Well with all things considered his official “rookie season” was only 9 games. That’s not a full season so I still consider him a rookie until he has reached the total amount of games for a complete season. I believe currently he is only 14 games in. 🤷🏽♀️
Always makes me scratch my head when I hear people claim Manning was somehow system agnostic and Brady was a system guy.
Manning literally played the same system his whole career. They tried to go force him to use a new one his second year in Denver IIRC, and it didn't work well and they went back to what he knew after like...5 games.
Brady had how many different coordinators over the years, as well as systems and plans that changed based on the opponent.
Brady had McDaniels for 10+ years and had the same offense every year lol .
49ers always overpowers and overwhelm the Cowboys in the trenches. It's no coincidence all their stars showed up for a fight and the ones from Texas were a no show.
I'm not a fan of either team, but you're wrong. Last years playoff matchup was physical on both sides and the dallas defense pretty much kept Purdy in check.
@@tonyb460as the game goes along though, that’s a different story. Yes y’all can be physical and bully lesser teams but 60 minutes vs 49ers is just different right now. Even last year, yes a close, physical game, but as the game went along, niners started making more plays and ended up with the W, why? Cowboys can’t go 12 rounds toe to toe because even if you in it for a while … eventually yes, the 49ers will overpower and overwhelm the opposing team currently.
That was one of the most complete analysis of the 49er team and win by anyone I’ve heard so far. Keep up the good work Chris and Mike. Go Niners
It’s Brocks ability to run the system well and his football knowledge/confidence/athleticism to make something happen when the play breaks down.
No happy feet. No bad int throws. No walking into sacks. He makes his move and gets the ball to his guys backyard football style, usually for big gains/TDs.
Dudes got moxie. That little something extra that when shit goes wrong, he doesn’t make it worse, he makes it right.
Remember Dak is pissed...🙄😥🤣🤣
Everyone is welcome on our Niners bandwagon. Climb aboard and we'll roll to Vegas in February.
There's 12 games left. Injuries will be an factor and a team can get hot near the end of the season and have an incredible run to the superbowl. NY Giants come to mind. As a eagles fan i must admit right now the 49ers are playing like a dominant complete team and they are the team to beat.

HOW BOOOOOO THEM COWBOYS 😢😢😢
7:05 that's what I've been saying about Purdy since the MIA start last season: watch his feet. His footwork is excellent, almost entering the realm of brilliant. Bill Walsh always looked for that, and I can guarantee The Genius would have loved working with Brock Purdy. When you watch closely, his artistry within the game very much resembles Joe Montana- not the best arm, a little undersized, but is sneaky athletic, has flawless footwork to progress through reads and then process what he sees and runs the playbook to perfection. Brock Purdy consistently displays these innate traits on a weekly basis. Even when Purdys teammates are interviewed about their QB, their full belief in him and almost a sly ",we know something the rest of league doesn't" tone in their replies also is an indication of where Purdy is at amongst his peers. The 49ers are loaded with star quality players up and down the roster, and to a man the entire locker room has entrusted Purdy to lead them to what they've been working so hard towards- that ever elusive sixth SuperBowl.
The 49ers struck gold with this kid.
Brock is a game manager he’s been managing to ball out and win
I still don't understand why these guys are still pigeon holing Brock to system and manager. The lightning fast read-progressions, pocket awareness, footwork, rope throws with golden anticipation, and even perfect out-of-pocket scrambling, play making and calm. Pretty sure Purdy and Co. are winning the SB this year (barring injury). Knock on wood everywhere all the time.
You heard it here 1st….welcome to “Broctober”
Fun drinking game: take a shot everytime Chris says Kyle is his buddy
Can't. Too drunk already.
Chris is a muppet that couldn’t even understand the playbook. If you haven’t seen it already, look up the video when “Simple Simms” was on Tampa, trying to remember the play called by Gruden. Simms is a dummy
Baring unforeseen injuries , I don't see any team beating them , they could go undefeated , they're that dominant
I agree…What more can you ask for in a team. 🔥They are setting a very high bar and being a Commander fan I know for sure we are not ready….😂😂😂
I'm a dolphins fan .. @@Rukkus1979
One more thing. People that believe Purdy is only a "System" QB don't understand the difference between Strategy (Coaching) and Tactics (Players). It takes BOTH to be world beaters. If your brain can't handle those differences you simply dont have the mental horse power to "Get It". And nobody can help you.
I'm glad that *Mike Florio* declined an opportunity to express his doubts of *Brock Purdy's* abilities after last night's performance. I think he realized that with *Phil Simms* on hand, he absolutely would not be allowed to get away with that crap. At least not again. *Turdy...?* C'mon, *MAN!* 😂
Mike McCarthy is a VW van and Shanny is a Ferrari.
VW vans are valuable these days. Mike McCarthy is a Geo Metro.
Calling a QB a "system QB" implies that its some sort of "trick" that he's not really good, and its all smoke and mirrors from the system. If, as stated " its not an insult, almost every QB is a system QB", then its not necessary to mention it.
So we're not calling him Brock Turdy anymore?
Team reminds me of the 2014 San Antonio Spurs. On a mission to win what they believe was taken from them the year before.
Here after Patrick Mahomes & Chiefs D pulled an out the rabbit out Vs the 49ers.
What a season and path to superbowl it was as a chiefs fan.
Gloryhole? Wtf guys?
It's a notorious Jerry Jones quote.
This game with Jimmy G in the helm would yield a closer point score or a loss for the Niners.
This B.S. about Purdy just being a joystick is B.S.! Purdy is elite. If the talent of the QB didn't matter and it's all about Shanahan, the Niners would've beaten Philly in the NFC championship last season.
There are guys like the QB School and Chase Daniels who are upping the game in analysis in a really revelatory way. This used to be what Chris was prime at; time to retool, Chris. We're seeing these modern changes through these new analysts, and seeing the differences between San Francisco's modern offense and Dallas's grandpa offense, conceptually.
49ers is the best team and is the favorite to win it all!! Bang bang 9er gang!!!!
Calling him a joystick QB is a fucking insult. Did people actually watch those throws he was making? Kyle said himself it was hard to not keep throwing.
🚬👩🏼🥃 HI HONEY LOOK DOWN HERE SWEETIE ⬇️
🚬👴🏿🥃 SOOO HOWS YO MOTHER DOIN?
And now we add Randy Gregory
What's wild about the 'game manager' / 'look at the talent around him,' narrative is that neither Jimmy G or Trey were able to have these kind of consistent results with the team. Not trying to be a dick, but cmon. Jimmy did do good here, but he still had dumb plays and interceptions like he has with Raiders. If what Brock did was easy, Jimmy or Trey would still be here.
Why are none of these shows talking about the addition of Randy Gregory?!!!
That had to be the biggest statement game I've seen in a while. The 49ers laid down the law. There is nobody else on their level. Not even close. Now the only thing they need to do it avoid injury, because as we seen last season(SF vs Phi), the better teams don't always win cuz anything can happen🤷♂
I was with Florio until he said "they got Sam Darnold who can be just as good." Jeez, this guy flip flops so much that he doesn't even recognize his own contradictions.
Geez .. When i watch Purdy he does look very much like Montana..its uncanny
Nurse comes into the waiting room, “Dallas Cowboys defense? Dr. Brock is ready to perform laser surgery on you.”
I think it was Alex Smith who put that stigma on the words "system quarterback". Dude was a very good QB, but not good enough..which I believe defines the "system QB"🤷♂
Only 421 yards, but the starters only played about 3 quarters!!!! LOL!!!!
Florio, where’s the Brock TURDY take from a couple weeks ago. STAND ON IT!!
Brady was a system quarterback he took the same system to buccaneers but no one brings that up.
Reid, Shanahan best scheme guys
Siriani getting there too
Dan campbell for me is one of the best motivational/ glue guy coaches. Gets his boys fired up to play hard and brought in a great staff.
I think people were confusing the “system QB” with “game manager”. Every QB is a system QB because every team has a unique offensive system. Game manager is the insult because it indicates that the QB is not essential for the team’s success.
The mantra this year is “out for blood”, and they’re not talking about, they’re showing us.
A few weeks ago Micheal Parsons was the next Lawrence Taylor, this week Fred Warner is the greatest linebacker of all time. The recentcy bias with these guys is amazing.
Warners been the best linebacker in the league for half a decade you just haven’t been paying attention.
@@oozieneinmillimeeda You completely missed the point which makes your comment pointless.
Sturdy Purdy
Lions v 49ers NFCCG
🚬👱🏻♂️🥃 FOOTBALL SUCKS
Been listening to a lot of anti Purdy banter from the media all season.
This is finally beginning to make sense.
I was a Brock hater but he’s proving me wrong as the starter in that offense with those weapons on both sides of the ball he’s still as system Qb but he’s no longer a game manager. He does his job perfectly, Shanahan puts him in a great position on every play and the YAC is through the roof. The question that remains is if they’ll be ready for a real team because the Dallas proved to be a paper Tiger defensively and the offense is abysmal.
As Eagle fan who watched the Birds tear through an easy schedule you have to wonder if they’ll be ready for a complete team in the playoffs. The one difference between Eagles and 9ers this year is that the Eagles get a chance to test their offense against every good team (minus the Bengals). So when they lose they’ll have film to learn from against the elites.
Been a cowboy fan for 40 years. It comes down to one thing, HEART. Dallas (and Dak) need everything to break their way to win. They have no heart when the chips are down. McCarthy has let the league pass him by. Just another yes man for Jerry. We are not going to even make the playoffs this year.
Mike Florio is right If the 49ers make it to the SB they win by a lot of points and the game will be very boring. He is correct!!!
The 1st five weeks of the 2023 NFL Season have quickly weeded out the superior teams vs the rest of the league. The 49ers, Eagles, Dolphins & Chiefs will be the final four teams unless they slip up or fall victim to injuries. These four teams will end the season with, at most, three losses. They will also remain in the top 5 of everybody's power rankings for the rest of the season.
this guy just dropped "looking for a glory hole" on NBC. Wonder how much the bet was? lmao
Why don't we just hand the 49ers the trophy and all look forward to next season....SMH
This will be a fun decade as a Niner.
Let's call this game by its real name... "Brock-tober Fest"...
Maybe Florio will respect the 49ers and Purdy now. 49ers are the best team in the league, great offense and defense, and well coached.
Cowboys didn’t even belong on the same field as the 49ers
Florio great 👍 point Fred the best LB & DPOY candidate. They came to see the best LB but the wrong one showed up let’s go!!!!
I compared Purdy to Montana his start well lol 😂 he made me seem very correct.
What the heck does a system QB even mean? Doesn't every team have a system that they run so doesn't that mean every QB is a so called system QB?
I ride with the fins. However, this conversation is arguably similar to the one we had with Brady about being a system quarterback. Prudy isn’t that yet but he’s a winner
To answer the question your still putting down Purdy when you say he's system player. As if he knows who he throwing to each play, or he doesn't make reads, or have to put the ball in tight spaces. Or feel pressure and able to extend the play to find a receiver. System implies that it's all set up for who ever plays the position. Honesty, I think Simms and Florio or Jealous of Purdy.
Geez... system didn't changed last 7 years. QB changed!
Agreed. Mullens, Beathard, Jimmy G., Lance, why weren't they at this level with this "system"? Purdy is the man!!
the "ranking" of any team during the regular season means squat! The Niners need more wins than the next NFC team period...secure #1 seed...Rankings are for college
BROCK N ROLL BABY!!!
Simms says Reid and Shan are the 2 best coaches. Then says Purdy is great because he fits Shan's system. Then, Mahomes isn't a system QB... I'm confused... Have we seen Mahomes 'greatness' outside of Reid's system?
Lifelong Niner fan here since the 80's when I was a kid growing up in the Bay Area. There is still a long way to go, but the niners look like a dominant team. If they go all the way this year I would put them up against great teams of the last 20+ years. The great Patriots teams, 2013 Seahawks. I'd put this team in that category. They have had really good teams under John and Kyle the last 4 or 5 years but they had the build the team to be as dominant as possible because the QB was mediocre and had to win in spite of Jimmy. Purdy is a great QB and is the missing piece for this squad.
The "System QB" narrative was thrown around when Tom Brady was winning with the Patriots and it even followed him after he had won a couple of SB's.
I feel like Florio and Simms both struggle with giving Brock his flowers, after ranking him #26 they’re running out of excuses. Brock’s playing out of his mind and they can’t help but calling him a system QB. SMH.
PFF is high-key 49ers fans
