Will be spending our third family holiday here this Easter booked via British Airways holidays. We are happy to pay the extra for Pearl club lounge access as love its environment. It’s great to chill out there for a couple of hours especially for afternoon tea. The staff remembered us and are sooooo friendly, you also get a voucher for unlimited drinks at the Peacock Alley bar up to 20.00 as no under 12s allowed in Pearl Club Lounge after 17.00. The chefs are amazing at personally accommodating my wife who is cealiac. Amazing food at all the restaurants 😋 can’t wait to go back 👍

Wie seit ihr denn vom Flughafen zum Hotel gekommen? Per Taxi/Uber? Sind diese Preise bezahlbar?

Wir sind mit dem Uber in Dubai unterwegs gewesen, wenn wir nicht Metro gefahren sind. Um Geld zu sparen, kann man vom Hotel zur nächsten Metro Station gefahren werden, die fährt auch direkt zum Flughafen.
Taxi und Uber sind gut leistbar.
Auf der Palme sitzt man ein bisschen fest.
Frühstück war mit Status kostenlos. Wir haben am Strand ab und zu was bestellt. Abendessen ist das Hauptrestaurant mit täglich wechselnden Buffet am günstigsten. Aber es gibt auch das „Social“ und das „Lao“.

HI- wir sind im kommenden Mai im Waldorf - unserem vierten "Palmenhotel"!! Kannst du uns sagen, welche Seite (zur Palme oder zur Seaside) die bessere ist?? Wir haben HP gebucht und hoffen auf eine gute Speisenqualität im Mezzerie!
Hallo! Wir hatten 2 mal den „Skyline Sea View“ Richtung Burj Al Arab. Das hat uns gut gefallen. Ob die „Palm Sea View“ besser ist, kann ich nicht sagen, die Gebäuder der Palme sind näher und stärker beleuchtet. Zu vermeiden sind definitiv die Superior oder „Partial Sea View“ Zimmer auf der Kurzen Seite des Gebäudes. Da ist der Ausblick hauptsächlich auf ein benachbartes Technik Gebäude.

Are PCR tests accepted in other hotels in the UAE subsequent to your stay at the Waldorf Astoria? Or most one expect to have to take a PCR test at each and every hotel in the UAE? Or does that only happen upon arrival at your first hotel?
We only needed a PCR test to enter the UAE. You don‘t need one to stay at a hotel. (At least not while we were there.)
The PCR test we took in the hotel was for our flights back to Europe.
I guess Germany is the only country where you need a PCR test to go to a hotel :-D

Ich finde leider die Rechnung nicht mehr daher kann ich es nur schätzen. Ich glaube es war ca. 50€ pro Person?
Same opinion here: real bad service and absolutely not acceptable for a Waldorf. Not unfriendly, but also not warm and welcoming. The rest is nice, though overrated. Was the most expensive hotel during our trip, but by far not the best value for money. If you really look for the "True Waldorf Experience", you better go to the north to Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah. Super nice, friendly, warm welcome and a great place. With 45-50 minutes from the airport, also not too far away.
And again: I have severe doubts about the Conrad providing suite upgrades - but that's a different topic ;-)
This was my first ever WA experience and I‘m glad to hear, that my high expectations, that were not met, were actually appropriate. Let‘s hope my future WA will be more like your experience at Ras Al Khaimah :)
@@PointsTravelTechAustria Basically, this was our first WA, which had some kind of unprofessional service. WA Berlin: Super professional and super nice. WA Amsterdam: An orchestra in service at dinner. WA Rome Cavalieri: Great staff and I really enjoyed the chat with Umberto in the Lounge area. WA Los Cabos, Mexico: By far the best experience in Mexican Hilton Group hotels. WA Ras Al Khaimah: unparalleled. WA Palm Jumeirah: well..... not again ;-)
Basically a pitty, since the place is amazing and the food is great.
And that they forgot the birthday cake of your girlfriend is an absolut NO GO for such a hotel class. The WA Los Cabos knew I had birthday, but I didn't ask for anything. After breakfast a cake was in our room. This MUST be the standard in such a hotel class....

@@rollercoasterfannrw375 My personal favorites where Habtoor Palace (very elegant), V Hotel (very futuristic) and Hilton Al Habtoor City (nice high standard). All are in one place and they are located nicely at the creek. And then there is the Conrad Dubai, which I loved for the pool area and the Executive Lounge - and the rooms are pretty cool, even at the entry room categories. At the beach, it would be most likely the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah, since it is newer than the Hilton The Walk on the other side of the street (The Walk had also a smell of cigarettes from the air condition). However, both have access to the same beach. The Waldorfs I cannot recommend. Just expensive and the additional price doesn't pay out. I'd rather book a more expensive room in one of the hotels above.
