Regarding the drink situation, I can fully understand that you feel like there is nothing special there. As it‘s true. They could absolutely offer some mocktails for instance. And yes, having to use the regular bus definitely dulls the premium experience, I‘d be bummed about that too!

Too bad you think so. I don‘t see how seat age is a big factor here. All First Class cabins haven‘t been updated in a few years. Emirates Game Changer has been around since 2018. And their 380/777 first class is even older. And In total, I had a worse experience on Emirates first as with Swiss or Lufthansa. I‘m only sharing my personal experience of the flight. Not trying to convince anyone that Airline X is the best. For me personally, this was my best flight experience. You will have had it on a different airline. That‘s absolutely fine.

Naja Emirats ist einfach nicht mein Style. Etihad ist absolut besser im Bordprodukt aber von der Crew echt schwankend. Singapur bin ich zu 200% bei dir. Da stimmt alles.

Ich bin Emirates und Qatar in First geflogen und bei beiden Flügen war die Crew nicht annähernd so gut wie bei diesem Swiss Flug. Der Sitz ist nicht alles in meinen Augen.

Der Zubringer muss in deiner Suche inkludiert sein. Sprich, wenn du in Wien wohnst, musst du die Suche mit Abflug ab Wien beginnen! So wie im Video gezeigt „Abflugland: Österreich“ Wenn du ein anderes Abflugland bei der Suche nimmst, wird der Zubringer NICHT kostenlos dabei sein. Dann musst du ihn extra buchen. Das würde ich tendenziell aber mit Geld und nicht mit Meilen machen.

There were many kids at the resort when we were there. It has quite a lot to offer regarding entertainment. Also the beach is very kid friendly. The water is warm and the waves aren't too big. Just high enough to do a little body boarding. I don't know which beach in Karon you mean, sorry.

@@PointsTravelTechAustria Thank you for your reply. We are planning to visit Phuket during November. We prefer quite place with good beach. If you could suggest which beach would be better or which resort that would be great. I have shortlisted Le Meridian Khao Lak, Pullman Khao Lak, JW Marriot Khao Lak, Karon Le Meridian and Katathani kata beach, Cape Panwa in Panwa beach. If you can suggest which one would be best to go with kids that would be great. We prefer a good beach with kids club.

We only stayed at the Le Meridien and the JW Marriott. And we don‘t have kids so we don‘t test out the kids clubs, etc. The Le Meridien was quieter and had a similar beach to the JW Marriott. They have a kids club from what I can remember, but we didn‘t stay there very long so I didn‘t see how much they really offered. The JW Marriott has the beach separated in Adults only, and kids. There is a kids pool area that looked really fun with slides etc. There is a kids club and some indoor table tennis and stuff like that. They also had an outdoor movie night at the beach, etc. I‘m sure both are fun for kids. But like I said, I don‘t have any so I can‘t give you a very precise answer.

In the beginning I used the phone number of a relative. So when I knew I wanted to access my account, I‘d let her know and she was on standby to send me the code she received. This obviously wasn’t too practical so now I have an eSIM line with Tello (really cheap US phone provider) it costs me 7$ a month. I have it on an old phone, but you can just use it as your second SIM card on your phone and turn the line on and off as you please.

@Rosie322 you can just order it online on Tello.com The downside is, the phone needs to physically be in the USA to activate the sim card (only once). Depending on when you will travel to the US next, this can be a bigger inconvenience. I actually gave the phone to a friend who went to the US and activated the sim for me. Your other option is buying a (prepaid) US SIM card on eBay which is already activated. This way you don’t have to visit the US with your phone.

Ich glaube das Angebot ist diesen Monat extrem eingeschränkt. Der Fakt, dass LH keine einzige Langstrecke anbietet deutet darauf hin, dass die Airlines sehr gut (mit Cash Tickets) gebucht sind und eigentlich keine Verfügbarkeiten für Sonderangebote haben.

Nein, man sammelt keine Meilen mit der Karte. Die Vorteile im Video sind leider nicht mehr aktuell. Im gepinnten Kommentar siehst du die aktuellen Konditionen.

@@PointsTravelTechAustria habe gesehen dass man mit zusätlichem 25€ jahresgebühr am bonuspunkte programm teilnehmen kann, somit würde die karte 45€(25€jahresgebühr+20€ bonusprogrammteilnahme) kosten und ist meilenfähig

Das geht kaum. Das sind zwei komplett unterschiedliche Währungen. Die POINTS werden grundsätzlich durch Fliegen mit Cash Tickets generiert und sind für den Status notwendig. Die MEILEN können für Flüge eingelöst werden. Du hast entweder über die Uptrip App die Möglichkeit mit den richtigen Karten an Extra QPoints zu kommen oder mit der Lufthansa Gold M&M Kreditkarte. Konnte letztes Jahr mit der Swiss für 70.000 ein Schnäppchen nach Narita ergattern. Das war echt toll. Ich habe jeden Monat reingeschaut und abgewartet, hatte das Gefühl Asien kommt eher ab Mitte des Jahres.

@@ultimarat normal war es immer im Februar wo generell wenige nach Japan fliegen.

Vielleicht komme ich irgendwann in den Genuss es zu probieren :)

Yes I‘m Austrian. The breakfast might be included if you book via Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts. But that has nothing to do with Marriott Bonvoy Status and the fact that I had booked with points/certificates.
