I think you should have a discussion with your husband and highlight how it important is to assist your parents, approach it from a place of seeking his permission, and make him feel important, do this when you both are in good mode. You can agree on a certain amount of money that you would send monthly to them and let this happen automatically that way you won’t have to talk about it anytime that you want to send money to them. And if this doesn’t work, have someone he respects and listens to intercede on your behalf. We need to help our parents especially if they need it.
