I'm going through my old video game remixes playlist from when I was an 8th grader and I just wanted to say hearing this remix again actually made me cry, outstanding my good man
bro I'm literally doing the exact same thing I have a bunch of old songs that I added to a playlist in like 2017 that I used to listen to what I played smash 4 on the wii u with my friend I used to always listen to this playlist with all the songs on it all the time and now they're just memories I don't even talk to the guy anymore I went back to my hometown and visited him and it wasn't even the same he got a Long more with my friends friend group and talk to them more than me because I was hanging out with two friends that I used to know and was visiting for a short time when I lived in my old hometown it's just sad some people change but that's life sometimes people you remember and have the greatest memories with then when you go back to see them in the future they're just a completely different person have completely different personality from when you last hang out with them it's not the same rip
I listened to this about 1-2 years ago and recently encountered it again in Little Z's video and thought the style and the song itself sounding familiar. Kamex you really seem to have a unique style of remixes

those glitchy snare fills (i think they were snares?) gave a nice feeling to this song! also, never heard of anyone using eurogate in a dnb song but it worked out well too! i think the piano could have been a bit more on in the middle part (if that makes any sense) but then again, it's probably just me. great work on mixing and on arrangement too!

Sounds more like something you'd hear in an anime fight, the calm parts playing when characters outside of the fight are analyzing and discussing the battle.
I looked at this and said to myself "If this fucks up my childhood games music, i will quit on life." I listened and ...... It made my childhood better of anything. This song shows the same raw emotion that the original had but with a modern twist. Oh my god don't even get me started on the violin and the piano. Those instruments just add even more meaning to the song. Thank you for making one of my all time favorite songs modern.

I do like that I Major chord you put at the end but I wish you had kept the original VI diminished for at least some of the iterations. Like one diminished one major, so that the major chord gets more payoff. Either way, GREAT remix. Btw where did u get the breakcore drum packs?
Knowing my skill level from back then I knew nothing about theory. I'm sure I didn't include a VI° because I just didn't know anything past basic triads and any chords I made that deviated from them were just happy accidents xD i think I got the breaks from a site called rhythm lab. Thank you!

Anthony Conner Thanks a lot! Funny thing about that, actually. I didn't really get very high marks in music classes. If anything I got something like 70's or 80's likely because I didn't follow what the rest of the class had to do. I was just that kid in the back trying to play Lugia's song or zinnia on his guitar while everyone else was learning marry had a little lamb. xD
Kamex its actually pretty accurate for the intro, just give it your best. At least your guitar actually gets used, mine just gathers dust in the closet because I can't get lessons.
