5:03 It really says something about the resiliency of snake eggs that one of them could turn into a Black Void of Moldy Death while all the others in the bin are perfect and healthy😅
You can tell how amazing the 2024 breeding season was just by the fact that we are into January and still get baby hatching videos. I LOVE it! Looking forward to another year of Snake Discovery. BTW, Ed we need a green tree python are better than emerald tree boas video.
Literally we'll be getting a video of going into hibernation then breeding plans then pairing videos then collecting eggs and then hatching videos again so breeding season doesn't really end in TH-cam videos
I don't know if they've always done this way I haven't been keeping track but the way they've been spacing out the egg hatching videos really makes a difference. Because I was just thinking that egg hatching season was over for snakes but with the way they've been spacing these videos out we're getting a snake hatching videos in January and then breeding season is right around the corner and pretty soon we're getting more eggs! I'm just excited that we don't have to wait an entire year
@@Superkeen1952 Yeah this clutch hatched in late August. I have one of these babies and I've had him since October! It's funny to be just now seeing the hatching video of a snake I've owned for months, lol
They definitely space out the videos. I started noticing when I would see the expected hatch date on the lids, and the video would come out a month or more later. Nothing wrong with that, it keeps the algorithm consistent, and allows them to have a few days of downtime between working on videos. Most creators have extra videos around just in case of family emergencies, etc.
My Mikan is part of the second clutch! He is one of the condas in the container that had the black egg and the poor baby that hatched and passed away. I think he may have been the Mountain Dew baby but I’m not sure. He’s doing well but he’s on a hunger strike (nature probably telling him it’s not eating time). His fun little quirk is he loves to climb. He will not tong feed from me. 😆😆 You guys have the magic touch.
That's so wonderful to hear about the babies going off to homes! ❤🎉 Typical hognose behavior of not eating 😂 my curly hair tarantula acts like them. I hope Mikan grows up well😊
I have one of these babies, too, his name is Secret. He's so quirky and sweet! I need to watch the video again and see if I can recognize him by his head stamp. He's one of the conda so at least I only have 4 to choose from! Mine won't tong feed either - he did for our first two feedings, but now I have to leave them on his hide. He does eat them right away though, once I leave him alone. He was on a tiny hunger strike, but then he shed and ate 2 pinkies right away.
OOOOOH!! We actually just rescued a king snake from an abuse case (if you want the story time let me know) after my mom said “no more reptiles” and now she has snake fever!! 😂 she said next we will get a baby hognose! Story: His name is Cilantro, we think he is a desert kingsnake.. but we aren't sure since he is a rescue from a neglectful owner. His previous owner was moving out of an apartment allegedly during a divorce and left him in his tank on the floor when he left. The woman from the divorce was pregnant and didn’t know how to care for a snake so she left him in the apartment. When she left the apartment the heating was turned off and it was ~60°F in the room. He was left there for only a few days however.. before they left , the cage was already a mess. Even though they were only gone for a few days before he was found, he was found with 7 full sheds and poop all over his dirty cage. Due to his state, it was suspected that he was neglected food, water, heat, and general care for months before they left him in the apartment.. Luckily a friend of my mom's is a landscaper for the apartment company and is into exotic animals and knows I am too, so they organized Cilantro as the best Christmas gift i could've ever wanted! He ate as soon as we lifted a mouse into the enclosure, and hasn’t stopped eating since then! We got him new hides, new substrate, plants, and a nice big water dish. I love him very much!❤️
@@Loafal_loves_you I have 2 cornsnakes but up to 4 snakes (2 cornsnakes + a pityas mucosas+ african file snake) and the later 3 came after my dad got snake fever as well 😂

I like hognoses but I must say that I missed the bullsnakes attitude a lot. They were so much fun. The little one was really ready to confront the world right away. Way to go buddy 😊
While I am certain this was a hatch before x-mas, would have been funny to have the Fanta snake get a Santa hat, if only to say “Fanta baby, hurry up and hatch tonight”.
9:12 yeah having external organs doesn’t really work with biology on this planet. At least he was safe, warm, surrounded by their siblings and managed to escape their egg. They earned their rest.

Hi snake discovery my name is DJ I leve in Canada I have watched you guys since I got a bearded dragon was 12 and now I'm 16 thank you for making my life so fun and making my day by the snakes and other animals
I love to imagine each snake had a possibility of 25 natures like in Pokemon and the one with the "Sassy" nature is going to become the random shiny that becomes the tank in your playthrough because tou didn't want to leave it in the box. I can see this analogy is falling through IRL but grandma didn't raise a quitter.
I am 100% on board with you guys trying the Charlotte+Voorhees pairing! They both make such pretty little noodles, I can't imagine their babies being anything other than gorgeous.
@@catboy_official I have a baby from this clutch and can confirm, he still does this! Every time I take the lid off his tub he yeets himself into the abyss. Silly babies.

I prefer condas tbh, their fewer blotches look less "too much information" than normal ones, but I also prefer condas to supercondas. Normals are too much going on, supercondas are too few going on, condas are the perfect amount of pattern lol
