Finally got someone to take me away we've been to Filey Bridlington Scarborough whitby Sunday to Thursday got back home at 2pm it's been epic.. Only spent 290 quid. That's with cooked breakfast every morning fish n chips at dinner time and a few beers n a meal in a pub went car camping I slept across the front seats not very comfortable the 1st night but night 2.3.4 I was on the sleeping pills so was out like a light.. Had a great little time

The landlord/landlady of the pub on Piel is the king/queen of the island,there’s even a ceremony.

Hi. You ask what the cast's you seen on the sea bed/sand. They are casts made by worms. Maybe rag/lugg. Good fishing food. Used it often back in the day. P.S. Thanks for your content. Great to see. :-)

I use that ear spray. You don't tilt your head. Keep head straight and just put nozzle in the ears.

Great video what a lovely location with those views it looked at one point you was driving down the canal I was getting worried watching hoping that you didn't get stuck. The castle looked really good but that area is really dangerous with those tides and they can come in really quickly and you can get cut off. What a good looking Pizza it might have took some time making but it did look very tasty. Enjoy your Easter weekend and stay stealthy.

Went to Barrow a before lockdown. Tbh the town was a bit of a shite hole but the Lake District was lush 😉👍🏼

I can't believe you went over there, it's a great place Dave Myers of Hairy Bikers fame lives on that Island I do believe.The seal population is quite a big one.
While you are over there look on the mainland there is a large white tower on top of the hill near Ulverstone check it out.

Its my home town Barrow-in-Furness I look out on to Piel island It's a shame you come Down the bypass to Barrow and not down the course road Some nice views from the Coastroad looks straight over to Hesham morecambe Blackpool Love watching the channel keep the good work up 👍

I think those squiggles are made by razor clams as they burrow under the sand. Fantastic video 😊

I have the pleasure of living here. It’s a great place. Plus there is a tunnel from Piel Castle to Furness Abbey

The squiggly bits of sand are worms which come up through a bore hole and leave the remains they’ve bored kind of escape from colditz.😉

noramlly not too bad driving through water had a bit of practice on an island i lived on that used to flooded every rainy season but WOW this was long

Lug Worm casts
Messy swirls are made by the common lug worm, if it is a neat spiral, that's made by the Black lug worm 👍 Every day's a school day 🤣😁

Hi Adam, fantastic video been looking forward to it all week. They do guided walks to piel castle (they have to be guided due to the nature of the marshland and rip tides) therebis also a ferry i believes that runs during summer season. Yes that is the irish sea, you can see Blackpool tower on a good day from Barrow in Furness - youtuber A Walk On The Wild Side managed to capture a brillian image of the headlands of Barrow in furness from Blackpool seafront. Happy travels my friend x😊

Happy Easter X is that acid Ur spraying in Ur ear it's good stuff and did the trick I feel claustrophobic when my ear is blocked but that's just me that stuff works quick hope it does for u crazy man takin a short cut threw river ha ha ha

I used live on walney Island with my ex and daughter but thing's changed and I moved back down to Yorkshire

@@wanderingwhere it's not bad on walney mate until you go into the town centre like you said a lot of rubbish. Ulverston is a nice place and you can walk up to the lighthouse on top of the hill which you probably saw as you was head towards Ulverston amazing views from the lighthouse

I don't want this to sound patronising, but please please tell me you've at least got one window/door open whilst cooking? Carbon monoxide poisoning is a real danger in such a confined space.. I cook in my truck but only with both windows dropped and the sunroof open , even then I feel it's risky.

37:16 these are lugworms, they burrow into the seabed on low tide. They swallow sand and poo it out making the squiggly piles. They are an important part of the ecosystem.🪱💩💩
