This machine was my intro to synthesis. I love this machine. I've owned two. I actually traded a Yamaha elec drum kit for one about 4 years ago. I was just getting proficient with the percussion and sequencing aspect of it when it was stolen. I bought another one this year and quickly got involved with the bass synth and it sent me on a whole journey of synthesizer education. In my opinion anyone starting out with synthesis could benefit from this. Far from the worst drum machine. For the price you really can't beat it. Especially considering that you get an entire bass synth with it. Run the percussion through a compressor and you won't even need that volca kick. LOL. I like volca too.
It's also a really good sequencer with midi and cv outs, it's very easy to write patterns, I like the 16 note with both A+B patterns with 2 fills giving 64 steps in total. It's great for playing live.
@@max_spotlite agreed. Nobody really realized what this machine was intended to be in my opinion, an analog competitor to the Volca Beats with an acid voice that justifies the extra $75-$100. Sounds good.
Hi my rythm wolf sounds great through high quality head phones (hd 280s) but bass drum is very prone to distortion when unit is plugged in to speakers (soundboks) any ideas ?
What a great session 🤘🏽👽 i wanted to ask about something i cant connect both synth out and main out and get a sound of both!! Main out gets ne synth and drums.. but synth out only gets me bass.. and both connected also only synth sound! Is that normal?!!
Hi man, definitely not in my case. the synth out is for the synth (303 bassline) only. When it is connected, the bassline will be excluded from the main out, which then is only for drums output.
It's not bad at all. Right along with the Tom Cat. It's an easy to use DM but not for beginners. Certain circuits react to each other and if you don't know anything about VCA your beats on this thing will sound like crap. Volume, Gain, and distortion on these units go hand in hand.

Sounds great 👍
Sounds great! I got the t8, it's structured like your Akai, more like a "Rhythm Wolverine"

Very cool!
Really nice work man. Bought a Rhythm wolf second hand for just under 100 bucks today, can't wait for it to arrive.
Nice deal!! this machine is SUPER SUPER SUPER underrated and misunderstood.

Hah, sure it is. I think the dedicated synth part output really makes this drumachine interesting
the kick is from the volca?
Not exactly, both Wolf and Volca did the job
εισαι ωραιος !
Thank you!
just admit you made a bad purchase and sell it off to another sap.
