If you are levelling a weapon specifically, opt out of infiltration farms. These are best for Descendants and do not seem to give the exp at the end to the weapon you are using. For weapons look at Vespers, or Block Kuiper Mining in Sterile Lands if you can't do the Vespers farm. This will be the best one that you can queue into.

Echo swap one is still one of the best, gets you loots of mats, XP, gold, kuiper, and most important CODE BREAKERS, and red brains, and sometimes Red mods, got my Cold Blodedness from there.
I feel that 100%. I have spent about 40-50 hours in there levelling and binge watching movies. I will say you can pretty much do this with most of these farms albeit you do have to look at your screen more often for some.
Most of this xp is coming from the mission end xp that descendants get but doesn’t apply to weapons. I’d say the void fragment reset is best weapon xp and block kuiper mining is probably the best from this list for weapon leveling if you don’t want to do the abort method
there another spot in fortress that you can do with viessa ,same concept as the void fragment in vesper but we can do this one as solo .Its the void fragment in defense line - fortress

do the hard infiltrations work well as weapon proficiency farms as well or just descendant xp farms?

The way I see it with the echo farm is if someone is standing at the beacon they are technically contributing cuz they’re making it faster for bunnies
