Something I discovered after making the video, the "Max Duration" is actually not actually a Max Duration before the tower expires, but rather a cap on how much duration you can store on each one. This means you can keep shooting the towers and charging them, up to 40 second duration at a time. So the towers can stay up forever as long as you charge them before the 40 second duration runs out. It is literally Jayber in a jar... Also, you can use Mental Focus if you want to get the absolute most out of each turret's damage because of the above. This would be best if you are doing a stationary farm. Because of the magazine size mods, you can hold down lmb and build up 60 stacks then place your tower within 2 seconds. Reload and repeat until you have 3 towers then keep them going as long as you need. Same as above with Sharp Precision Shot.
My fav ult weapons to use are basically guns with a skill built in. Like Greg's, Thunder cage, and now king's guard lance and wave of light. Satisfying to use and visually impactful
using king's guard lance with my big succ lepic is so fun (3 totems and traction succ). exactly the buff i was waiting for when i tried it out when i first used it before the buffs..
Extremely versatile gun that let you: - Contribute huge wave clear when you level up new characters. - Enable gun platforms like Enzo, Gley or even gun Hailey to solo dungeons faster.
I use King Lance with Ultimate Lepic so I can afk farming. I build Lepic with max cooldown, duration, and range so I can spam his vaccum as it sucks the enemies into 3 of my King Lance turrets. Never run out of mana thanks to the inversion buff, MP collector, and Max mp/mp recovery in battle components. Note, my vacuum duration and cooldown are both the same timer, so I can spam another vacuum right after it ended, but you need skill cooldown and duration on a reactor. Lastly, I use lepic red mod which have a chance of recover your mp right after using your skill so it go well with the build.
Base area of effect increases over 11x once the weapon is modded/maxed and the lance shot at.. that's going to be some coverage with 3 of those down. They might not hit hard, but with chill the CC potential will be vast.
I feel like Jayber can benefit from this gun too. He can cover an even larger area with the help of this by placing the pylons on spots his turret's not on. Also why not use the beam charging speed? Is it not worth for this weapon?
Would be a must build if they change it so the towers aren’t removed on weapon swap. Also for the people saying this use useless because Bunny this is actually the BIS for bunny now for missions with set spawns because the turrets keep firing when you are running around.
I have only briefly tested, but the new Charge Amplification Mod seems to give about the same or even more DPS than the three crit mods combined freeing up two slots.
Although I'm aiming for a maxed out and catalyzed lance, I very much appreciate that you're presenting a freshly unboxed one. I don't feel so far behind then ^^
if you use the Lethal Finish mod you can get almost 100% crit rate on the turrets attacks without using better insight or having a crit hit rate roll on the weapon.
I messed around with it. Very inconsistent and awkward to use from my personal experience. I found Mental focus to be more consistent if you really want to get the most damage but you have to mag dump then place towers. Both mods rely on conditions / cooldowns to proc so I'd only use them for a stationary farm where youre using the same 3 towers. Conductor is consistent and no gimmicks so ive found it just works better for farms where youre moving around.
The devs team seems to be on the right track, we definitely need more aoe weapons, thanks. 👍 Edit: Exactly what I'm planning to use, chill enhancement+snowflake conductor to keep mobs frozen in the turrets range but I rolled a gold electric damage and decided to keep it, it'll shred the armor AND froze mobs in place. 😂
Mine is built out pretty high (EA and 4 catalysts). It’s decent on Hailey because of her massive flat crit chance increase. Feels very clunky though on console. Definitely don’t recommend unless you need to farm certain void fragments I guess. But it doesn’t touch Valby, viessa, bunny, and blair in mobbing with just weak version abilities
Pairing this weapon with jayber i imagine would be the best option, you could have a variety of turrets out from him and the weapon to close off an entire area
Well you can say this about a lot of Descendants. Just because the gun matches with his kit doesn't necessarily mean he's the best Descendant pairing with it. But it would definitely be fun, although managing 5 turrets and having to use his little pistol to charge 2 and the weapon to charge the other 3 sounds tedious.
Using it with infinite ammo gley is very comfy for farming. Not the fastest for sure but very very lazy-mode. You dont need the ammo modules with gley haha. Cheers. (You can add in Chill priority with Gley, not that it really matters that much i guess.)
Like all the new patches the devs have been coming up with. Now if they could only find a way to make it easier to on us casuals to acquire these cool weapons. I been trying to get just one Enduring Legacy for over a week now. Over 20 Pyro kills just to get the nano tube. The Enduring Legacy is going to be yesterdays news before I even get one.
For attribute roll, what about going for Status Effect Trigger rate instead of Chill atk? I was thinking the chill attack part can be obtained from module anyway, but we can't get status attack trigger rate from module (i think?).
one thing you didnt mention is that before the update the lances would not do any damage if you were not actively shooting them, so you had to sit there shooting at the damn thing so that it would do less damage to the enemies near it 🤦
You dont want the rounds on king guards lance go ahaead and max it out you dont use rounds at T4, best to get chill/electric, fire arm atk ,crit and crit dmg
You use rounds to place towers and you use rounds to charge up and maintain tower duration and you use range for also shooting enemies, mostly elites that tank a lot of the shots.
@MeuiYT I have never had issue sustaining using this weapon my understanding is the towers use ammo but at t4 they don't consume rounds. You'll need rounds only when reapplying which mobs would be dead before that when your perma frost kicks in. Having ammo mods isn't efficient better to stack on attack or offset the reload time with reload focus.
This is a staple for my sharen for hacking, this gun just clear everything after a successful hack and if you put ice, it perma slow the boss too making the solo run very safe.. My only problem now are those boss that have balls on 2nd phase, it's doable but still very annoying on solo
Best mobbing weapon is ThunderCage, still cannot get close to it, maybe only for stationary Void mobs spawns, but still the skills of Viessa, Lepic, Bunny are better for this.
dont think it was mentioned at all, maybe could be used for bossing too. Looks fun for maybe a couple runs but guarantee you'll end up going back to bunny/valby/iceee. Unless you're not grinding.
It still doesn’t feel viable at all. The time to kill is just too slow to be called best mobbing tool. With chill it’s at best the strongest cc tool in the game, but cc is pointless when the spawn rate of this game is so low, and so many things can easily one shot/spawn kill multiple mobs at once
Shoot the tankier enemies with your beam if the towers arent killing it fast enough. The beam itself from the gun does a solid amount of damage itself.
Nah, better to try it yourself. Honestly worth it, regardless if you like his build or not, the best gameplay is your own, and King's Lance is now worthy of the name.
Thundercage has some decent range sure, but you can have the lance up for 40secs and its super easy to give time back. With Thundercage you see big numbers, but you don't need much dps to kill mobs quickly. Try this out, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Better ultimate bunny nothing else. You need just two descendants: bunny for farm and Haily for bosses. And it’s all- you got big profit. As alternative for bunny- it is ultimate feyna. But I think bunny 🐰 is better. All another’s descendants just only fun.

Literally had the same idea when I got the weapon last night, the new crit mods are a nice indirect buff to guns as well apparently

This gun is so satisfying to use now. I haven't put it away except for bossing! Using it with Bunny or Valby makes mobs instantly disappear.

When moxsy was testing it out on his livestream, it seemed like the crit only procs off the first turret and thats it.
Pretty sure this is a bug and only applies to the first turret placed
