I would change that plastic oil pump sprocket at least every 20,000 miles or during an 8,000 clutch job, seen some of them lose some teeth and prevent oil from reaching the top,,,,,the peaces disintergrate and the sprocket skips.
You can put a Pennie in between the gears and it should allow you to get enough torque to get it off. I banged on it with a hammer and ratchet and it eventually came loose.
@@irishryder2470 thanks. I tried a microfiber towel but the gears just cut through the towel. It is really tight. Are you sure the tooth will not break?
@@johngodwin7902 this is a trick I've seen in many other TH-cam videos. The copper is soft material and will not harm your gears. Hang on I'll try and find a video so you'll see what I mean.

2:40 min. You use the special tool. I have that tool. How do I break it free? Mine is so tight the engine keeps turning over.
