  • Sometimes sliding into a new POV character is easy-sometimes NOT. This week writing was a bit of a struggle, but I learned a lot about my character and how to write his voice.

I have to do the same. Think on where the Character came from. Good video.

The hardest part for me, is trying to make the characters sound different. And also adding subtext is a challenge. I was listening to a podcast recently and they were talking about knowing what the character wants and that's what I've been trying to ask myself when writing dialogue. I also watched a few vids on acting and that has helped some as well. I try and say the dialogue out loud, which might make me sound like a crazy person. But that's ok. lol

It's so exciting listening to you and your story! 😊 don't feel bad though because I can totally relate. I have this one villain an evil dad and he has a great personality and is a super bad and intimidating villain but I've never delved into his past or backstory so even though I feel lazy I'm honestly scared to try to get into his head and make him young and figure out how he became so evil lol. But his son on the other hand (Kyren) I can slip into so easily and I know him so well like you said. So this is totally relatable. I also love how you wrote two different povs for this scene and ended up using both. Lol. I've done that so many times where something in the scene just feels off and I realize I'm in the wrong pov 😂
