    Ahhhh, 63rd street. My old stomping grounds! The should add "Welcome to Philadelphia" to the PA system. Milbourne and 69th are outside the city limits.

    Did you see the Tramcar that rides on Baltimore Ave, it is all decked out for Christmas? It put a smile on my face on my way into work today.

      There’s very little room for error, the platform is pretty much the same length as the train

    Seriously, how are express/local trains organised on this two track ?

    • @MJofLakelandX

      During rush-hour, trains with either the letter "A" or "B" are designated to selected stops that hosts that particular letter. Even then, it's a clusterf*ck when one train is every two stops while the next train fill-in those missed only to do the same thing.

      They are to damn small for the crush of rush hour people. its annoying.

      @@kevinhoward9593 Seating arrangements are the problem. When these trains entered service and throughout most of the 2000's, crowding wasn't too much of a problem. So what happened? Millennials, gentrification and parents now having school choices for their children. On a good day, you can pass on a crowded train, the next train can arrive in two minutes and it will be just as crowded.

      SEPTA could care less about the build/seating since they don't have to ride them. They just bought them because they're reliable for about 35 to 40 years. These cars started service in 96-97 and 216 out of 220 still run.

    • @BottomLin3Op
      @BottomLin3Op 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wins and Losses saving money always bites you in the ass. I feel they could done better with the seating arrangements and suspension. Back before they rebuilt the section from 69th to 40th they always felt like they was going to derail on the EL with the terrible bouncing they did. Now you don’t notice it as much. They are very unstable cars but you get what you pay for. Also since they are not a 24hr operation except for Friday/Saturday a lot of issues New York have you won’t notice in philly. So yeah in a sense they are reliable for the time they run throughout the day.
