Greetings from NYC David, I say this to let you know that your tutorials are making difference for Modelers all over the world and I learn something new with every video When I saw the word "engine" I thought it was going to be the Fockewulf BMW, I have the Eduard Fockewulf 190 F8 kit but it waits for your radial engine tutorial, the work you did on that engine was simply incredible! But then again so is all of your work Once again Thank You for taking the time to share!
David R Lentz, Columbus, Ohio, USA (Saturday, 5 October, 2024) Excellent work, Mr. Damek! (I infer that to be your name.) I wish you could have shown us more of your talents here. I very much would like to see your efforts, both in painting and super-detailing, on larger scale replicas; to extend the example you on this occasion have brought before us, the Supermarine Spitfire RAF Mk.IXc Fighter: specifically, the Tamiya 1:32nd-scale kit and the Airfix 1:24th-scale iteration. In these, I very much would appreciate you delving deeper into the fine points, much as we have seen you on numerous occasions present us.
You know a good way of getting paint on those small details if you want to paint your stock plastic control panel/dashboard is to paint a hard flat area white and as long as you make sure there is only a small amount of paint, after the black paint you can press the dashboard onto the area with the white paint. The raised details will now have a coat of white ! :)
great tutorial David is tgat an Eduard resin engine you have used for this demo only curious but I really enjoy your vids and full builds top stuff bud kutgw cheers 😎😃
Would you have any tips for building 1/24 scale merlin engines as I am building 2 of them for a build project, they are a little more detailed than the one showcased in this video by the way. I also want to say that your videos have inspired me to be better at scalemodeling and to try new techniques that I never would of thought about before, my models have been getting much more realistic as I have been watching your videos, thanks
You are nice I bought already 4 airbrushes and i've done something false because all were destroid I dont know what was that and iam very angry Thanks for your tips
How would you recommend painting the cable features on a bf109e engine, which is painted black enamel? The instructions show the cable detail painted in gunmetal ( 56 ) but they are really narrow and hard to paint using a brush.
Hello... question..for one DB from Eduard 1/32 for one Me109 Revell. So concerning the engine i have to put all parts together and paint black etc like you did or i have to paint some parts like hoses etc before? what do you reccomend? Thank's in advance.
To jde jednoduše sbrousit jemným smirkem.
Hi David, thanks for the informative video as always. A quick question, when applying your pigments, how do they adhere to the model to make it a permanent fixture?
Could someone explain how David uses GX100 Super Clear III coat after as it has different from aclrylic base and might melt the acrlylic XF69 coat of water-based paint?
Hello, Tamiya Xf-69 is not pure acrylic but acrylic-layer and is not water-based. However, you can use super clear III also on Vallejo, citadel water-based colors without problems. GX100 is lacquer varnish buy is not aggressive for other types of colors if you will spray one or two soft layers first.
seeing this video made me think about the old revell spitfire mk 2 that I converted to a PR mk 1. I scratch made an engine similar to that with polystyrene sheet and some spare road wheels from a Panzer IV. It is not half as good as that engine.
Yes, I realised that soon after commenting but many thanks for your response. It is a superb addition to the model. The pilot virtually had a huge tank of aviation fuel in their lap. Loved the video.
A really stupid question: Can you actually listen to this music when you are painting the small details? BTW your micromotor skills are quite remarkable.
If you wish to be prototypical Rolls-Royce engines are painted in an 80% gloss black this means everything. ignition leads were often black cotton braided and the name was never painted in. Boring I know and does not make for interesting models but id you wish to be a rivet counter that is how you should paint a Merlin. How do I know? I have access to an un-restored Merlin.
I couldn't resist painting the Rolls Royce lettering in my 1/32 Tamiya spit Merlin's rocker covers. It ain't prototypical but it impresses more visitors that way, usually what they comment on. i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac358/Bebebeelzeubub/spit10.jpg
Bohužel českých shlédnutí není ani jedno procento, a proto se musím přizpůsobit většině. Ke každému vidu dávám české titulky, ale zatím jsem ještě neměl čas. Možná dnes večer je tam hodím.
Your 1/48 scale models are simply incredible!
I love your attention to detail makes your project really pop like a1:1 shrunk down

You are the only one I click "I like it" even before looking at the video! And I never regret this choice!
Thanks for the text telling what product you are using at each step. That helps very much.

That looks beautiful . Wow just wow .
That was just amazing and so realistic too. Well done mate.
Fun to watch a pro working, thank you.
Excellent paint clinic!! I enjoy your videos so much!! Cheers
Outstanding work! Always waiting for your next video.
Superb detailing !
Excellent job David!
Do you think you can tone down the music volume a bit? It's hard to hear you when the music is at a good volume.
The ignition wires are brilliant.
I have found all your video's very very instructive.I have one question, why do you not paint the piece's BEFORE construction?
Absolutely gorgeous engine
Gorgeous.
I take it the pigments were fixed in place with Pigment fixer as well as water?
Well job! Why dont you use the same technic when you paint the copkit ? Use two base color to create more shadow?
Jaw dropping in Spain. Thank You.
you could also add some oil leaks and grease to the engine
i wish the trumpeter kit had this detail on the engine
great tutorial David is tgat an Eduard resin engine you have used for this demo only curious but I really enjoy your vids and full builds top stuff bud kutgw cheers 😎😃
Congratulations for your great job.
What kind of brushes do you use for painting the small details, i mean, what size?
I'd really like to see you do the Remora from Industria Mechanika.
Lovely work - really superb.

What do you say at 4 minutes, what’s applied after black panel lines ?

Tak buď to můžeš zafixovat x-20 nebo tekutým resinem jmenuje se to pigment fixer. Třeba mig dělá takovou modrou lahvičku.

Now how did you make the fuel tank ????
Skvělá práce :)

hello to collect please 4443 Eduard 1/144 MiG-15 Dual Combo
Where do you get this white oil paint from?
I used ordinary art oil paint. Umton or 502 Abteilung. www.umton.cz/index.php?lang=en&call=olej&local=
PLASMO - plastic models what syringes do you use so the paint goes exactly where you what it?
H&S Infinity with 0,15 mm nozzle
PLASMO - plastic models was the white lettering with the oil paint with a brush?
yes
A really stupid question: Can you actually listen to this music when you are painting the small details? BTW your micromotor skills are quite remarkable.
I listen to rock or classical music during painting. In a video, I must use only not commercial music and it is very limited.
If this is supposed to be a Merlin engine the prop blades are rotating the wrong way
Nice, but oh dear Lord that music! I lasted four minutes.
Dry brush
